I recommend 203K9 without hesitation or reservation, they're trainign services have been absolutely life changing for our dogs! We started with having one dog trained due to his reactivity to other dogs, which has been transformed (not to mention he's become a much happier and more responsive dog), then our other dog joined in and our home became so much calmer and our dogs actually seem happier. When we decided to add a 3rd rescue, Jose was incredible in working with us to get her integrated, helping her through a board and train, and being so responsive, guiding us through the process, and helping us learn how to be even better dog handlers. So grateful to Scott and his 203K9 team for life-changing 4 week board and train for our 6-month old rescue lab/pit mix pup. Adopted Oct 2024 our high-energy pup was not listening to commands and very fearful and reactive around other dogs, cars, noises and fighting us on the leash, a stressful daily struggle that was unsafe. I checked in and participated during pup's training at the Courtland facility, outdoor sessions and off-site sessions at the mall and our home, and then after he returned home there were comped follow-up sessions to keep him accountable and his training on track. Scott is very attentive to our pup's needs with great results. The team is responsive but very busy, keep trying. Our 15-month old pup is now confident and obedient on and off leash and with people and other dogs...happy boy knows his job and commands and is living his best life, thanks Scott! Our boxer puppy Lilli just came home last week from a 5 week board and train program. It is amazing the difference this has made. I always said Lilli is our worst puppy ever, having had 5 other boxer puppies before her. Steven and Scott were great. All my training sessions with them gave me the confidence that I can continue this training at home. Lilli is listening to commands and I am able to drop her leash for a good part of our walks. I want to thank all the trainers at 203K9 in Stamford Ct. I have two Great Danes and right after they were born I developed a debilitating back injury that made it impossible for me to control the pups and or train them. Training dogs is important but most important with large dogs. Steven and Mark were just what I needed, moving through the training I met many of the staff members i trust them all, they have all been professional and kind above and beyond the basics. Truly a life-changing experience. Our dog, Helo, a 1.5 year mini Aussie, has had symptoms of aggression since he was a puppy. We've been through multiple trainers, including a 1 month boarding program, and all of his aggression problems have only gotten worse. Barking out of control, snapping at people and other dogs, and refusing to come when called anytime he got out of the house. Most recently, he bit a neighbor who helped catch him when he got out. We were worried we might be out of options, and were stressing daily about every interaction Helo had with other people. Marc and the team at 203k9 rebuilt our dog from the ground up. We went with the full month program, which was definitely the right call, because now we know that whether he's got a leash on or not, we're still in control. We visited Marc 3 times while he was in training, which allowed us to see the progress and learn as Helo was learning. Helo came home with the same spunky personality as before, but now we are able to quickly correct him when he starts showing any signs of losing his cool. He responds to all of our commands, even when outside without a leash on, which makes our lives way less stressful. One other great thing is that we have more 1-on-1 and group sessions coming up, both to refresh Helo's training and to give us the opportunity to ask more questions and learn new skills ourselves. Really couldn't be happier with our experience. Money very well spent, and knowing the results of "cheaper" programs, this is by far the best bang for the buck. Great experience with Marc and the whole team training our wild puppy who hates authority/discipline but lives for mischief and exerting energy. We were at the point where we had to exercise our puppy for 2 hours every morning and 2 hours every evening just to get him to settle down and not try to destroy our entire apartment. In desperate need of help we signed up for the 4 week board and train. After the first two weeks, our dog had learned how to walk with us without pulling us down and listen to our commands. He was able to find a new way to exert his energy, or at least just listen to us, instead of needing to exercise at all hours of the day and destroy our apartment. After going back to finish the 4 week, he was able to do all the above without any need for a leash. Highly recommend the team for all dog issues and needs! read more

This review is for the office communication (or lack thereof). Over two weeks of multiple voice messages left, without a return call. It seems to be there is only one number for the company (assuming the owner's cell phone), which then gets handed to an office personnel to call back. I was under the impression (from other reviews), and certainly by the name, that company would be more professional. "Communication" and "Responsiveness" is essential, but is also an indication of how well the business will treat their customers (new or existing). VERY DISAPPOINTED read more

Can't really comment on the training part and I'm not going to call out names. I tried making an appointment for my 5 month old pup and we set a date and was told a time frame. The day came so I called with no response, later on got a text saying he was bit by the dog and if we could reschedule long story short 2 months later still no call...... read more

What an amazing experience with Steven from 203 K9. I just got a pit bull puppy and really needed help introducing him to my "dog aggressive" dog . I was very nervous as I have had a bad experience with dog aggression in the past, but Steven took the time to show me in a safe environment that my fears were unfounded and with the proper training techniques and control over the dogs we can definitely make it work. Steven has an amazing understanding of dog behavior and has shown us with clear instructions and a plan how to acclimate the new puppy into our existing family. Wow! Steve and CJ are absolutely amazing! Our dogs were out of control. We were concerned that the training was going to be hard on our puppies, but these guys love our dogs as much as we do. Our dogs used to bark and pull when they saw other dogs on our walks; now they are trained to ignore other dogs and they stay right by our side. They also trained us to be effective masters (our dogs actually had us trained). We are both now consistent in our training techniques and our dogs can not only walk with us, but walk with other dogs as well. Well worth every penny we spent! read more

Bringing my GSP to 203K9 was one of the best decisions. She was very afraid of loud noises (cars, trucks, motorcycles) and she would shut down on walks or just pull on the leash to go back home. I did the 4 week board and train program, I was nervous about leaving her but when I went in for the evaluation Steven and his team were so welcoming to us and her, I knew this was the place. We came in once or twice a week to work with her and were amazed at her progress. She was so confident, we walked along busy streets with loud noises and she showed no signs of stress. I was very interested in the off leash training and the first time we came in to walk her off leash we couldn't believe our eyes. She walked at our pace, slowing down or speeding up whenever we did. Our walks used to be so stressful with all the pulling but now it was so fun, it was a joy to walk her. We hike all the time off leash and its great to be able to do that but even better that I can have control of her if I need to. Before the board and train I would have never let her off leash in fear she would run off if she heard a scary sound or simply just to chase an animal. She is highly prey driven like any pointer and even when she is in pursuit I can have her do a recall back to me. That to me says a lot, and speaks highly on Steven's training and her ability to listen to her commands despite any distractions. A part of the training that I thought was really important that many people like myself probably wouldn't have thought of is that Steven doesn't just train your dog, he trains you. I learned a lot about dog body language and how to communicate with my dog correctly with the leash and through corrections that she would understand. I highly recommend 203 K9 to any one looking for dog training. Training really helped to enhance my dog's life, she now has the ability to do the things she loves and she's no longer scared to do so. Please do not be discouraged if your calls don't get through the first time. Keep trying or send a text, the team is always training and I saw their dedication firsthand. If your dog is in the program, you will get frequent updates on how they are doing or you can just ask for a quick update(Videos, text, Instagram). I looked up many places for training and I'm so happy I found 203K9. This is NOT one of those programs where you drop your dog off and never hear from the trainer again. Steve is such a great trainer! our 3 1/2 year old pit bull was terrible on/off leash and aggressive with other dogs. We sent him with Steve for 2 weeks and when we got him back he was a totally different dog. Now we can take him around other dogs, we can walk him on the leash without pulling, and he's even great off the leash. We can really take him anywhere now without being embarrassed by his behavior. He showed us in depth how to handle our dog as well and is great at answering any questions we have. Steve really puts his all into his training and it shows! I would highly recommend him! read more

Pissed isn't even the word. I'm livid!!!! 2nd attempt to use this company for training since I know they specialize in Pit Bulls. First attempt was months ago. I was chatting over email with the owner about the concerns I had with my dog and wanted to set up a training session. After we emailed several times back and forth, he asked me what my availability was. I answered and then never heard back. Tried to give them another chance a week or so ago. The other gentlemen that works there, I believe his name is Marc, responded to my email and we set up an appointment for today at 5pm. I drove over there and had trouble finding the location. I called the number I was given, left a message and also texted. Waited on the side of the road for about 20 minutes with no response, so I ended up leaving. It is now 9pm and I still haven't received any communication back from them. Complete BS and absolutely inconsiderate. I'm a very busy girl, with limited time in my schedule. I pulled a lot of strings to be available for this appointment only to get completely ignored. I'm not sure who you think you are to waste my time like this, but I sure as hell will make sure to tell everyone about the experience I've had with 203K9. read more
