A breakfast win. Our first morning in Rome and we walked out of 4 places for breakfast before this!…read moreWhen we saw it immediate yes. The layout and ambiance is just what you expect. Lighting layout counter cleanliness unobtrusive but attentive staff. We wanted savory options and for me desperately wanted veggies. Hard to find! There were paninis with eggplant broccoli spinach grilled peppers zucchini and more. Fresh and delicious. Can also buy the veggies separately. Also had omelet panini options if you're an egg person. They warmed for us for takeout and spinach broccoli cheese was the favorite even for the teens! Even more than the pepperoni paninis we picked for them. Cappuccinos also excellent and fresh squeezed orange juice. Next to the sacred stairs. We were up early and not a lot open. This is the counter cafe in front of the restaurant which other people reviewed. Haven't been to the restaurant but will return for breakfast sandwich counter. Also had lots of sweet pastries but their strong suit are the paninis. Sweet pastries in general so far in Rome seem like frozen pastries reheated. So glad we persevered and found this place.

We saw that this place at least had chairs to sit so we decided to check it out. Walking in, the space is tight but well laid out and manageable. The case of pizzas is wonderful! There were so many to choose from, it was like a kid in a candy store. They sell by the weight so you tell him about how much you want cut off and pay for that portion. I mistakenly ordered one I didn't want but it worked out well because the pizza here is so good, I don't think you can try a bad one. The owner (I think) cuts the pieces into nice sizes for you after he heats up the pizza. I loved the way it was served. He is really proactive at cleaning tables. I'd eat here again and again if I could. Super good.

It was delicious. The pizzas also looked delicious and had a variety of toppings but I did not try though seemed many do come here for that. Worth the stop in when in the area and hungry for a quick bite.

The risotto and salad were delicious - but the classic Margherita pizza was the star of the show! Even though it was busy, our food came out very quickly and the prices seem quite reasonable by Roman standards. Note that they do charge a 10% service fee and the waiter might hit you up for a tip on top of this. However, we are glad that we chose this restaurant for our final dinner in Rome!
