So now I have paid for a set of earrings, lost one and gave the remainder back to them. They can make another and resell the set. A lousy way to make a buck!! It is despicable!!!

How wrong was I? Haviv & Sandy were lovely. My first impression set the tone when they suggested that I should go to Long's as they sell the watches I wanted appraised. They were trying to do the best for me over just getting business. I explained my experience at Long's and Haviv & Sandy said they would take care of me. And they did. I left with an appraisal after some great conversation about Vegas. Lovely couple and so friendly. Watching them interact with other customers confirmed they treat everyone the same. A long time ago this shop was just another generic hippie new age incense rock shop that sold ugly hippie clothing..and those are a dime a dozen. If that's a kind of shop you prefer, then unfortunately there's a store just like that across from this one. Now this store.. it's magical.. and dazzling..! They still have cool rocks and fossils, but girls behind the counter are so knowledgeable about the origins, meanings, and uses for each stone. They still sell clothes, but it's stylish clothes that are fair trade! Pretty clothes that don't make you look like you fell off a gypsy caravan haha. The back of the store they turned into a wonderful gallery space, with handmade watercolors and oil paintings. They're even creating amazing wire wrapped jewelry! One of the girls does amazing things with very old vintage keys! Everything is locally made! Oh! and they sell seashells! There was a store in Rockport with the flirty seashell captain, but he closed. One of these young ladies worked for him and decided to bring in the same quality shells he had. We started chatting about engagement rings because I knew my son would soon be in the market. That conversation led us to meet Kerim at the Newburyport store. Kerim designed the perfect ring for my son to present to his now fiancé. They both returned for wedding bands. Kerim made a band to compliment her engagement ring and my son picked one of his unique creations for his band. Throughout the entire process, they felt they were in the best hands. When it came time to create my mother's ring, I knew exactly who I wanted to make it. Kerim listened carefully to my ideas, offered thoughtful advice about the stones I wanted to use, and together we came up with the perfect compromise. He even suggested making the ring one size smaller--but I didn't listen! As it turns out, he was absolutely right. Silly me! The finished ring is absolutely spectacular. I walked in to Kaya jeweler, out of the blue, and past a few other jewelers nearby. I had tried to cut the ring off by myself, leaving some sharp edges. I asked the jeweler, we never exchange names, however I assumed he was the owner, if he could cut it off. And he did. Professionally, with the correct tools, with care and a level of service that you won't find at a larger jeweler. After he removed my ring , I asked him 'What do I owe you?' And I insisted twice . He responded 'I just like helping people'. I will be back next time I visit my daughter to make a purchase. I wish that more people were like this man. Highly recommended.
