As for my meal, I ordered the bbq combo with the Jalapeno sausage, 1/2 brisket quesadilla, fries, and Mac and cheese. The Jalapeno sausage was just your typically sausage and was fine. The brisket quesadilla had another unpleasant sweet sauce on the meat and that was the only flavor I could taste. The fries were the highlight of the meal for me, seasoned well and crispy. Now onto the worst item... the Mac and cheese... It was basically noodles and milk. Really creamy, with a milky taste, that I couldn't stomach more than one noodle. My wife and I were excited to try chilis... but I think it will be many years again before we go back.

I ordered the turtle plate with cheeseburgers, french fries, and mac salad. The cheeseburgers and French fries were cooked well. The mac salad was lacking flavor and was just kind of watery. The meat hot sauce atop the plate had too much of a cinnamon flavor for me, that kind of ruined the whole plate for me. My dad order their special fried oyster po boy, which he said wasn't too great. He said the fried oyster were kind of cold, and they were put on a plain roll. My mom got a burger, which she said was a fine burger. They obviously golf all the time and wanted to show us how nice the course was. My husband's first comments was about the grass on the fairways. He said they were beautiful and that the grass was as tight as the grass on the greens. As a non-golfer I was just enjoying the view. There is a decent restaurant/ bar, snack bar, and also a pool on the grounds. The restaurant is closed this year due to covid but I ate there last year. No pictures but I can say I enjoyed my meal sitting out on the patio.

A lot of other people brought homemade dishes but they were practically untouched and every dish Speary's Catering made was cleaned out. The food was incredible and so was the communication. I had to make a late request for more supplies like plates and utensils and Ben delivered happily. Everything was right on time and Speary's Catering definitely made my life as the host of the party much less stressful. I cannot reccomend them enough and I look forward to using them for the next large event I host.

An avocado binds it together but otherwise this dish was a little hard to eat. If you're socializing at a food truck rodeo and you're just wanting something quick, heavy, immediately flavorful, then this place is the place to go. Unfortunately, if I was sitting down and wanting to enjoy the flavors more and appreciate each ingredient, then this wouldn't be my pick. Despite using healthier ingredients, still a heavy plate with flavors that could use some maturing. For 13-15$ a bowl, this wasn't quite worth the money. However, I do appreciate their efforts of trying to be effortlessly healthy by promoting health. But I think their starch heavy, avocado, salty lean meats need a bit more zing to their taste.
