This is one of my favorite places to go on a day when the weather isn't so great outside. The conservatory is warm, cozy, and you can easily get lost in the large beautiful plants. It's like stepping into another world. Be sure to check it out after dark during holiday hours in December to enjoy the holiday lights!

The Lamberton Conservatory is located in Highland Park and is a must see attraction in the area. We stopped in for the Holiday Show, which featured poinsettias and lights throughout the building. The Holiday Show came with extended hours, allowing us to visit after dark and enhanced the light effects. The entry fee is affordable $3.00 for adults; $2.00 for youth and seniors. A great location to wander about and take in the atmosphere provided by all the unique plants and animals. Throughout the conservatory you will find quails and turtles, providing us an opportunity to observe them in their habitats. We enjoyed taking our time strolling through and stopping for photos. Several fun photo opportunities can be found throughout.

Lovely spot on a grey Rochester day - unfortunately I remember when it used to be free- it's now $4 for adults! A bit steep for the size of the conservator

Found this little cute gem. Was a very nice activity to do and enjoy while visiting the park. They do have some animals in the conservatory so be aware! Do take your time exploring the plants, it's not long but there's still a lot to appreciate. May cause lots of sweating in some rooms at the conservatory so bring maybe a hand fan and stay hydrated. I hope they add more different and exotic plans in the near future.

I've been to Rochester plenty of times, and the Lilac Festival and never knew this place was here. First of wow, this place was beyond reasonable for all $ 3 for adults, they even had holiday light display, and poinsettias displayed. On a side note, what was unique were the turtles and tortoises that call Lamberton Conservatory home. Its a short walk around, loved the variety of plants, color, and am a plant lover. Relaxing, enticing, and an expensive way to enjoy the beauty of plants and nature.

A beautiful and relaxing place to go, especially on a winter day. Plant lovers, you will be in heaven. It's a short walkable loop of tropical/desert plants and trees. You can walk through at your own pace, stop and smell the flowers (literally), or breeze through quickly. I highly recommend taking it all in with a leisurely stroll, or walking around several times. The holiday display is festive with many poinsettias, pine trees, and twinkling lights (although that may have changed at the time of this writing in mid-January). Tortoises, turtles, and quails will be fun to spot for kids and animal-loving adults. Lots of Insta-worthy photo opportunities here! The $3 price of admission is well worth it.

$3 admission is a great price to check out this gardens located in Highland Park . Seeing all the turtles is worth the admission price alone . You almost feel like you are in a completely different world while you are wandering through this place . I saw varieties of plants I have never laid eyes on before . My only wish was that it was bigger . They do offer nighttime attractions as well . I would recommend a quick visit there , if the weather cooperates, pair it with a walk through the park too !

Nice place for a holiday picture with Mom.

Great place to warm up in the winter! Admission was only $3 and it is WELL worth every penny. Lots of beautiful plants, not a ton of blooms right now but there is a large display of poinsettia and Christmas lights for the holidays. The turtles, tortoises and quail running around were fun to try and spot. Even our 16 and 13 year old had a nice time and didn't complain, which was a miracle. Definitely recommend and will go back again next time we need a midwinter warmup.

Visited this beautiful place during spring time. With the admission of $3 for adults and $2 for kids and seniors, it is worth the visit. This conservatory is not the largest but full of amazing varieties. From tropical to desert to their seasonal plant displays, plus many more exotic and interesting plants to explore. Turtles, tortoises and quail birds are fun to watch wandering around freely. They have plenty of benches scattered every spot to sit in, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Will visit again during winter time.

I treated myself to a trip to Lamberton for my birthday this year back in November, and honestly what a treat it was! I was SO embarrassed I had never been to this gorgeous ROC staple, and my trip lived up to the hype. The staff was so friendly, COVID precautions were followed, and the price is right. Next time I go back I am 100% grabbing myself a membership and enjoying this spot year round. I know all of my friends with kids absolutely love it here, since it is a nice warm escape during the winter months. There are SO many succulent varieties and a even some wildlife to spectate. Be careful where you walk as turtles and ducks have free roam of the conservatory, which makes it both beautiful and, if you're me, a little scary LOL. Take all of the photos and take a seat to enjoy the moment. I went when it wasn't too busy and would recommend trying to find an off time if at all possible. We are so lucky to have this gem in ROC! A must do.

One of my favorite things to do in Rochester. Admission is crazy reasonable, I think it was $3 or $4 each. You can walk through quickly, or easily spend an hour or two if you take your time and relax. Would be a cool and unique date idea! I really enjoy stopping to watch the tortoises and quails running around.

This was easily the best $3 I spent in a very long time. It doesn't take long to go through unless you want it to. Lots of beautiful flowers and other flora to enjoy along with the birds that live there and some turtles.

Awesome hidden gem in Rochester especially great during the cold winter. Get outside and look at some pretty scenic warm conservatory. 3 dollars and worth every penny!

Ask the Community - Lamberton Conservatory

    Is this business handicap accessible?

I don't know if it is officially considered accessible, but the building is all one flat surface with no stairs. There are also several benches throughout to rest if needed.

Can I get seasonal passes online? If not, what do I need to do to get passes?

I think you'll need to go in person to do this. They are pretty low-tech! A card will be mailed to you and they keep your name on file in case you forget to bring it.
