The Birthing Lady - Thanks Jen for capturing this moment with my husband!

Let me start by saying Jen is absolutely amazing! She is kindhearted, genuine and compassionate!…read moreShe truly loves what she does and it shows in her work. We interviewed a lot of doulas before deciding to hire Jen. I had honestly already selected a doula I wanted and almost cancelled the consultation appointment with Jen but something told me to keep it and I am so glad I did. After chatting with her I knew she was the one. Her energy and calming voice was exactly what I knew I needed! Jen has been there for me EVERY step of the way on this wild rollercoaster to motherhood! She is always just a text or call away and the amount of time I've called her and spent an hour or more on the phone with her just crying, venting, laughing or bouncing thoughts with her. She's quickly become one of my dear friends! At my birth she was pivotal, and kept me calm by helping with breathing tactics and pain management tools. She even helped me push my baby out. I am so grateful to have walked this journey and to keep walking this journey with you Jen! Thankfully we also added on her postpartum package and she has been spoiling me with yummy meals, foot and back massages, sitz baths and loving on my son. Jen is an absolute gem and I highly recommend her! Oh and I almost forgot she captured my birth beautifully too with photos and videos. And the education she gives during her prenatal visits are like nothing else any other doula does. Most doulas start there visits in late 3rd trimester and show up at the birth. Jen walked along this ENTIRE journey with me. I am so grateful to her for everything!

It was so nice and I highly recommend her

Giving birth is exciting, unknowing, personal and natural. To have someone by your side who…read moreunderstands the experience and shares the same excitement is a gift to yourself during one of the most memorable moments of your life. I've learned that when you give birth you need the consistent support, warmth and knowledge of a Doula. Liz embodies all of these and more. During my hospital birth, as nurses were changing shifts or taking breaks, Liz was my much needed stability. She will play cards with you, she will coach you through your contractions, she will hold your hand (or you legs) and encourage you until your last push. From start to end, Liz never left my side and gave me the best birth experience I could have asked for. She's the real deal, the one stable person everyone should have when bringing a new life into the world.

From the owner: Doula is derived from the greek word meaning "mother's helper"…read more Every birth is unique and every birth is etched in the memory of all mothers. I hope to help make the memory of giving birth as pleasant as possible without any regrets. Education is key and as I doula I hope to help parents make informed choices and know their options so the memory is one to be proud of. The top priority of every birth is a healthy baby and a healthy mother. Continuous emotional and physical support and advocacy throughout the birth by a doula gives the parents the one on one attention that all mothers deserve and that seems to be lacking in today's culture. I hope to help parents feel empowered and up to all the challenges that come with a birth. Studies have shown that women who have a doula present are less likely to have a C-section, less likely to need pitocin and pain medications, and are more satisfied with their birth experience.

She advocates for what her clients want and helps them advocate for themselves as well. The specialist she recommends really know their stuff (chiropractic care, breech specialists, and ultrasounds to name a few). I could not have chosen a better practitioner/midwife to be under the care of. So grateful she's part of my birth team. Her weekly prenatal group zoom calls have been supremely helpful during this difficult time. They've brought a sense of community I felt like I was missing during this pandemic. Knowing that others are going through the same things is so so helpful during this time. I love cheering on fellow members as they get closer to meeting their babies and cheering on the newly pregnant people as well! And her Innate Journey class with Haize Hawke was the cherry on top! So informative, so realistic and caring. Precautions were taken to keep everyone safe during class, while bringing us together as a small group of couples getting ready to meet our babies. We touched on the spiritual and the practical. I've never felt closer to my spouse than after we finished the last class. Haize and Blyss are an absolute dream team!

Every prenatal appointment I felt seen, heard, and cared for in such a deep way. Blyss went above and beyond to check in with me during the ongoing pandemic/covid-19 and during the black lives matter movement. Blyss even created a weekly zoom group for her clients to hold space for us to breath and also connect and ask questions. I was bless to have a homebirth at 41 Weeks with Blyss and she was so professional and caring. Her calming presence and years of experience illuminated during my labor. I trusted her and she constantly reminded me that I can do it. Blyss is passionate about being a midwife, its not a job for her, you can see it's her spiritual calling.

They are kind, knowledgeable, and supportive, but the front office and administrative side has been consistently frustrating. The administrative staff is disorganized and unprofessional. They frequently mix up appointment times, give conflicting information, and make even simple tasks feel unnecessarily difficult. They don't use email or an online portal to send updates, test results, or appointment confirmations, which makes it almost impossible to keep track of anything. Everything has to be done by phone, and the communication is often curt or dismissive. Another major frustration is that any time I need bloodwork, I have to schedule a completely separate appointment with a third-party lab instead of being able to do it in-office. This makes routine prenatal care far more inconvenient than it needs to be. I really wanted to have a good experience here, especially since the clinical care from the midwives has been positive, but the front-office management has caused so much stress and confusion that I'm choosing to switch practices. I hope they improve their administrative processes and communication in the future.

I was at a very low point when I heard from my friend that Estelle was a Doula. She has a background as a midwife in Belgium and so she not only knows how to take care of this mama, but also is great with my baby. She made me feel comfortable immediately. She did baby yoga, helped put her down for naps, gave baths...I could go on. Before Estelle came to my rescue, my baby wouldn't eat solid food. After Estelle, my baby was not only eating healthy solid foods, but I was too. She grocery shopped and cooked for me in my time of need. She truly helped me heal. Unfortunately, I didn't have a Doula when my baby was first born and had a tough experience in the weeks after. She was also very helpful postpartum as a lactation consultant. She was cool, calm and collected throughout the entire experience and we couldn't have done it without her!! Highly recommend her :)
