First time treatment for this 9 year all star Yelp elite member. I was willing to overlook the excessive cost, $131 for an oil change and tire rotation after my $15 coupon. Do not visit these places, EVER, By not permitting photos, my only question is...what exactly are they hiding? Find a reputable place that treats its customers with respect. BTW: they gave me a sticker to place on my windshield to return in 3 months; with OS-17 full snythetic oil, the recommendation is once/year with annual mileage below 10-15 K. We were told they would not replace the single tire and that we would have to purchase four new tires, even though all four tires were purchased from this store just 13 months ago and were under warranty. Naturally, we questioned why the warranty would not cover the damaged tire. Our call was handed off to the manager, David, who was clearly angry that he had to take the call. He immediately became argumentative, raised his voice, interrupted us, and showed no empathy for our concerns. He was dissmissive and told us we could get tires elsewhere. When I returned to pick up the vehicle, I calmly explained that while I understood the policy, I felt his approach was unprofessional--especially toward customers who had been loyal to the store for approximately 20 years. He became angry again, spoke over me in front of other customers, argued about how long we had been customers, and threatened to delete our account. When I told him I was shocked by the way he was speaking to me, he responded, "I am not just the manager, I am the owner and you get what you give!" He then told an employee, "Air up her tire and get her outta here." I understand that sidewall damage may not be repairable and that there may be legitimate warranty limitations. My concern is not being told something I didn't want to hear--it is the disrespectful and unprofessional way the situation was handled. It's probably a sensor, but when I asked if the $300 would go towards the repair, they said NO! So a sensor that probably cost less than a $100 and an hour labor($150?) to replace will cost me over $550? My local mechanic always roles over the diagnostic cost into the repair if I have them do the work. Most of the time he doesn't charge a diagnostic fee if I chose not to have it fixed, if he had less the 30 min in the diagnosis.

I had to open a claim for the tires since after being inspected we saw they were bad. They even brought me into the shop to show me the tear, wear patterns, and tread depth along with the need for a minor alignment. Troy and staff went above and beyond on going back and forth with the claim center to make sure I was taken care of with a new set of tires and alignment. Since I was on vacation, I thought "why not take care of this today?" and rung up Ken Towery on Hurston Parkway. Doug answered the phone and told me to bring the car on over. It was a toss-up between the alternator and the battery and Doug found that the battery wasn't holding any charge, and recommended the battery being replaced (the more inexpensive replacement), also taking the time to call Advanced Auto Parts and finding out my old battery purchase from a few years back in their records and getting a replacement under warranty. The entire process from diagnosis to fix, and the follow up phone calls was superb, and extremely fast, and I'd highly recommend talking to Doug @ Ken Towery for any car troubles you're having!
