I want to share my experience so others know what to expect…read more I contacted California Professional Movers, and Andrew was very nice at first. Before hiring them, I specifically asked if they were insured and if they had a large moving truck. He told me yes. He also gave me a price over the phone. When they arrived at my house, they showed up in a U-Haul that wasn't even very big. After walking through my home and seeing everything that needed to be moved, Andrew confirmed the same price he had quoted me over the phone. After seeing everything in person, Andrew told me the move would take about five hours. We agreed on a rate of $130 per hour, and I was told that price included everything. About four hours into the move, Andrew told me he no longer thought they would be able to finish within the five hours he had originally estimated. Trying to be understanding, I agreed to add two more hours, bringing the total to seven hours, or $910. I even gave the crew an additional $40 tip because I appreciated their effort and wanted to show my gratitude. Even after adding the extra two hours, Andrew came back and said they still wouldn't be finished. At that point, he started trying to renegotiate the price by charging me per item, asking for an additional $50 for the garage refrigerator, another $50 for other items, and so on. None of those extra charges were part of our original agreement. To make matters worse, they damaged my refrigerator, which cost me almost $4,000. I reported the damage immediately, and Andrew gave me an email address where I was instructed to submit my claim. I followed those instructions and sent everything in. As of today, four days later, I have not received any acknowledgment or response. I am a senior citizen, and I expected honest and straightforward service. Instead, I was left feeling extremely disappointed. They damaged my belongings, did not move everything they had agreed to move, and left furniture and bedroom sets placed haphazardly in the rooms instead of taking the time to put everything where they belonged. My advice is simple: don't hire this company. My experience involved changing estimates, attempts to add unexpected charges, damaged property, incomplete work, and no response after I submitted a damage claim. I trusted the promises I was given, and I regret that decision. I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience. Needless to say there is nothing professional about California Professional Movers.

Used Muraway in January for a combo of moving stuff and packing things away for storage. I just…read morerecently had to move again and uncovered the extent of the damage to my things. We had 3 man crew and on the initial move, one of our large standing shelves were damaged beyond use during transportation in a 10-15 minute drive. I was told their insurance policy will cover up to 10 CENTS per lb of item damage. Meaning our 50-60 lb shelf would only be covered for $5-$6. I asked the crew to disassemble my bed frame and provided tools and instructions that came with the bed frame. I asked if they could keep the instructions and tools with the frame or give it back to me. They disassembled it fine and told me they wrapped the instructions and tools to the frame. Today when I moved it was no where to be seen. Finally, in our initial move, I asked the crew to shrink wrap my mattress and store it away. I also told them it was 200-300 lbs. When two crew members tried to pick it up, I recommended asking the 3rd for help but they were insistent it was unnecessary. They began to struggle about halfway during the walk and ended up dragging the mattress on the floor. I didn't notice the extent of the damage until today when I unwrapped it fully and noticed they had ripped it. Picture attached. Overall wouldn't recommend. The crew was young and inexperienced. Performance overall wasn't good. I didn't give a review initially because I thought they did a good enough job and they were all nice and hard working, but after seeing the damage to our things I think it was pretty mediocre.

We had a whole day of moving a house of 31 years with them, and they all went above and beyond. To be honest, the whole buying a house process stretched out that my mom had to reschedule twice--- but Lisa gave so much grace and patience. Then, today, moving day--- it was wild. While I initially thought the big truck wouldn't get filled-- Hugo, Ivan, and Vova found a way with their Tetris like minds and got most of our belongings in all in one piece and even put two beds back together! I think the biggest help was just them offering so much more, particularly asking questions and double checking if we preferred something to be moved in one place or another. Best believe, we will be referring you all to more friends and family. Incredibly personable, efficient, and helpful beyond what we could imagine. Thank you, guys... seriously. I moved from Laguna Hills Ca, To Las Vegas and I was quoted a price for the move. He was he late getting to my property to move me and I didn't even have time to do a walk thru. He stole several items during the move. expensive rugs, computer monitors, a 50 inch television set, and a expensive vase, he also left my patio set outside of my new property that was thrown away. He never even apologized or gave any explanation for the missing items. I relocated to middle class 55+ community and he showed up wth my property a full day late and claimed he ran out of gas on the move here. I had to address them and aplologize for the noise that occured at 12:00 a.m the next day. Myself and my 77 year old mother had to sleep on the floor with nothing. He was also on drugs, my nieghbor saw his so called wife smoking God knows what at the bottom of my stairwell and I could clearly tell he was high as well. I am a Social Worker and I know a person on drugs when I see them. When the move was completed he demanded $400 more after he quoted me a price. I refused to give it to him and said I was going to call 911. He scared my mother by talking to himself and walking around my home. My Mother finally got him to leave by writing him a check and putting a stop on it. He then had the nerve to call me and ask for the remander of the money which I do not owe him because he stole my goods,I just blocked his calls. He did a sloppy job of moving my items. My Mother was traumatized by this entire expereince. I filed a police report on him. His name is Mike Spittle, DONT EVER USE HIM!!!!I I didn't know some of the things were missing until I started to unpack. He even stole medication that was prescribed by my therapist. Please by all means do not use this person for your move.
