The location in Boulder is very convention, ample building and parking. There are several different services and specialties available under one roof, and a good location fro their patients who need to be closer than Anschutz for regular care. There are clinics for family medicine, heart and vascular, an eye center, a pharmacy, a lab and other specialties. There are providers that are here full time as well as some who rotate in from Anschutz and other locations in some specialties. I have been a patient here of several providers, in several areas over the years. In fact, before they opened this larger facility, I was a patient at their previous locations in central Boulder. This may be a bit farther for me but still only 10-12 minutes depending on traffic. Very convenient and even more convenient for those farther east in Boulder. I am very pleased with the many providers I have seen. Also, the check in staff and medical assistants are nice to work with. If your insurance covers this option, and mine does, I think may people could be quite happy with the choice. And know that if you need a broader range of specialties or a lab that is walk in, not strictly advance appointments, the UCH system has grown considerably in Longmont. This is still a lot closer than Anschutz and referrals to these other locations in the UCH system are readily available.

There has been unclear communication. I have spent hours on the phone chasing her down trying to get answers and every time I get blamed and gaslit. I had my intake appointment over a month ago. I was supposed to have my next appointment 2 weeks ago. That was canceled. Then when I went in for my 8:30am appointment this morning and was told my appointment was canceled and they called me an hour ago. That appointment was still in the app the evening before. She gave a generic sorry woth no empathy and no acknowledgement of the inconvenience, and again gaslit and blamed me for not seeing a call an hour before an appointment when I was trying to get ready for my day with 3 medical appointments. Pelvic floor therapy is incredibly intimate and before even meeting my doctor, I don't feel comfortable or safe going there.

The ER physician misdiagnosed the symptoms as 'psychosis' and arranged for me to be placed on an M1 hold and transferred to Cedar Springs Hospital psychiatric institution in Colorado Springs later that day. This assessment was not competent and was gravely in error. Two days later, on July 23, 2025, I was transferred to the UC Memorial Health Center ER in Colorado Springs by ambulance from Cedar Springs Hospital and placed under intensive care due to asphyxiation from choking on vomit during tonic-clonic seizures. The staff at Cedar Springs claimed I had fallen and hit my head at their facility, which my care team at Memorial Hospital was able to find no evidence of. I was put on a ventilator and a tracheal tube was inserted. By that point I already had pneumonia. To quote an MD from the Memorial Hospital case notes on July 23, "The specific organ or organ systems failed or in danger of failing were Cardiovascular, Neurological, and Respiratory." To quote his colleague on July 24, "Patient's condition is life-threatening and without ongoing intervention would deteriorate." A third Physician on July 26 noted, "BH [Behavior Health] evaluated him and he is NOT gravely disabled and does not meet any M1 hold criteria," and, "This pt [patient] has Epilepsy." This was the neurologist who observed the tonic-clonic seizures on EEG. I was discharged from Memorial Hospital and sent home later that day. Respiratory failure and tonic-clonic seizure are known to cause permanent death of brain tissue and irreversible injury to the brain. They should have just sedated me and put me on EEG, that's not hard or expensive. But I guess then they don't get to bill the insurance for as much. Would not recommend.

It took a month to close the finger wound which was not a good outcome of my poor choice. This winter I had a worse but similar insult to the same finger so I did go to the ER and their efficient care of the finger allowed it to heal properly. This time we made the same choice for a smaller ct on a different finger and it has healed extremely well. From the moment I arrived, bloody hand wrapped , I was treated efficiently and politely, from register g window to assessment to treatment. Clerical staff and medical staff are well trained. On 1 visit, I actually needed an MD but the most recent used a PA who did a fine job. The various techs who were used to clean the wounds as well as remove stitches later were also efficient and accurate at task. I am lucky to have this fairly near by, though not as close as when BCH had the facility right in town. Back then it was a much shorter distance for my family, especially when transporting one of my children. But progress requires more and different space and with this facility accessible to a few highways it is better for the greater community that has moved to the suburbs of Boulder. Since I have good insurance and have used this facility in the past. They can process my emergencies quite quickly. There were other patients in line too, some with far greater injuries so appropriate that they were taken even more quickly and were served by the discs. Broken ribs from bicycle incidents have been other cases with priority both times. Such a Boulder situation so be careful out there!

The ER physician misdiagnosed the symptoms as 'psychosis' and arranged for me to be placed on an M1 hold (involuntary psychiatric commitment) and transferred to Cedar Springs Hospital psychiatric institution in Colorado Springs later that day, although in his own notes he claimed I was not 'agitated,' 'depressed,' or 'in distress.' This assessment was not competent and was gravely in error. Perhaps I should have been sedated with Ativan and Versed if necessary to control the convulsions and connected to EEG in some form of effort to diagnose the seizures, which would not have been difficult or expensive, although this would not have allowed the hospital to bill my insurance for very much money. Two days later, on July 23, 2025, I was transferred to the UC Memorial Health Center ER in Colorado Springs by ambulance from Cedar Springs Hospital and placed under intensive care due to asphyxiation from choking on vomit during tonic clonic seizures. The staff at Cedar Springs claimed I had fallen and hit my head at their facility, which my care team at Memorial Hospital was able to find no evidence of. I was put on a ventilator and a tracheal tube was inserted to clean the vomit out of my lungs. By that point I already had pneumonia. Simply rolling me onto my side may have prevented the issue. Rather, the staff at Cedar Springs only offered stern lectures regarding my 'misbehavior,' which were not helpful. I was only offered food with choking hazards and given lit cigarettes at the facility. I was in and out of the seizures for about three days, completely cut off from any possible access to medical attention, before I lost consciousness. My next memory is of the feeding tube being removed at Memorial Hospital. To quote an MD from the Memorial Hospital case notes on July 23, "The specific organ or organ systems failed or in danger of failing were Cardiovascular, Neurological, and Respiratory." To quote his colleague on July 24, "Patient's condition is life-threatening and without ongoing intervention would deteriorate." This was the neurologist who observed the tonic clonic seizures on EEG. I was discharged from Memorial Hospital and sent home later that day. Fortunately I am now nine months seizure-free. Respiratory failure and tonic clonic seizure are known to cause permanent death of brain tissue and irreversible injury to the brain, and may cause sudden-onset death. Would not reccommend.
