I have been wanting to try this place for a really long time! There are a lot of great things in the Mills market so I had to check it out. I ordered the Singapore rice noodles and the spring rolls. They have a pretty good portion size here the spring rolls were perfectly crispy and had great flavor. I really enjoyed the dipping sauce as well. The Singapore rice noodles were really good as well and there was a good amount of meat in it. You should definitely check this place out if you haven't already!
Split the 2 meat rice box with a friend, what a great deal! We tried the crispy pork and roast duck which also came with bok choy and rice. The crispy pork was my fave of the two as the flavor of the duck was a bit off for me and it was tricky to eat in the large chunks. Kai Kai js located inside Mills 50 Market which can get super busy so be prepared to take your food to go if need be.
Both the roasted pork are pretty good. The duck is just ok, not used to red colored duck. We tried the trio meat rice dish to go.fast service.
Kai Kai is a great place to go if you like Asian style bbq on rice. We pick two meats which are roasted duck and crispy pork. It's fattier than what I prefer but it is what it is. It still can hit the spot when you crave it. Service is nice and quick. The ambiance is casual and prepare yourself if you come here during rush hours.
This was so good two of these and you're fully stuffed. The bread is sweet and a little greasy, which honestly isn't usually my thing, however it worked beautifully with the savory of the roast duck. I just wished they stuffed the Bao bun with more of the duck. Still, it's warm, flavorful, and absolutely worth trying.
Was so excited to finally make it over to Mills Market! I had no idea there were multiple Michelin spots in here, and though the inside is on the small side, we were able to snag a table. I'd recommend maybe coming on the early side for better seating! Kai Kai was our main focus for this visit, so we tried a little of everything! Dumpling and soup dumplings were good, but the soup dumplings had great flavor and really stood out! Fried rice was a great staple, and the ribs were well liked by the group. My favorite was the beef chow fun - the flavor was awesome on the beef and noodles! My only note is that for the price point, I'd love to have seen a bit more beef in the entree, but I'd still return just for this dish!
This stall is in Mills Market so I wasn't too sure about it. Kai Kai has the 3 meat combo and I think that is the best deal so you can try everything. My personal favorites to get is the duck, bbq char siu, and the crispy pork. The roasted duck was good but was a bit on the fattier side. The char siu had good flavor and balance of sweet and savory. The crispy pork was delicious and had that crunchy skin that you would crave. The dish also comes with rice and bok choy. Overall, I would recommend this pale if you are in the mood for duck, char siu, or crispy pork.
Hands down the tastiest roast duck I've ever had! The seasoning, the crust, and the juiciness are on point. We asked the friendly lady at the counter about the seasoning ingredients in the duck and she laughed at us in a "good try" way . It's understandable that they wouldn't want to reveal their secret recipe. The other proteins were tasty too, but not as memorable as the duck. I really enjoyed their bok choy too. Service was a tiny bit slow, but reasonable for a Friday evening.
Sooooo good! Came for lunch with my son and it did not disappoint! Although the Mills Market is small the vibe is elite! Everything looks so good but we opted for Kai Kai today... the triple meat platter is incredible and honestly big enough to share... roast pork, crispy pork and duck... with bok choy and rice... I'm drooling! The chow fun was delicious! I'm so full! The food came out piping hot and fast! The staff is super friendly as well. Overall I literally have nothing not incredible to say... just visit and go hungry!
Always on the hunt for the best char siu when I'm out of town, and TikTok led me to this gem inside a food hall. Kai Kai BBQ came through when I didn't feel like cooking (especially with a 3-hour drive home ahead of us). We ordered a little bit of everything--fried rice, bok choy, shumai, char siu bao--and of course, the main event: a pound and a half of char siu. Let's talk about it...solid 8/10. The char siu had great flavor, nice glaze, and that balance of sweet and savory I look for. Definitely scratched the itch. Everything else was good and rounded out the meal well, but the pork was the star. Food hall vibes keep it casual and quick, perfect for when you want something satisfying without the fuss.
Absolutely love this place. All the foods here an s the almost festival like vibes of the Mills market. Today I got to sample Kai Kai BBQ, and yum! Whent with 2 proteins because its so hard to pick. The crispy pork belly was so amazing! Just the right amount of fat and crisp and cooked to perfection. The soy sauce chicken had a very aromatic seasoning light but flavorful. Even the green stuff was great! It came with 2 sauces not needed but good for a little twist to the flavor, one I think was eel sauce (no eel included and the other one tasted mostly like green onions. There was a hefty portion of delicious fried rice (5$ upcharge )under the protein. The rice had a peanut flavor to it, it was light and aromatic, very delicious. Worth the upcharge?... I'll let you decide. Service was fast and friendly place was packed and things moving fast but the staf was personable and attentive and even popped a joke in our short interaction. Like all the other places in Mills Market, Kai Kai has earned a spot in Orlando's food scene. Now the tough part is deciding what to eat next time because it all looks and is soooo good!
The duck was absolutely delicious even reheated the next day. This was one of the stalls that we checked out in the Mills market. The best way to go about this is to divide and conquer, send one person to one stall and another to another stall since most of these stalls aren't just grabbing and go. That way you can get your food all at once. I got half a roast duck and my husband got shrimp dumplings and steamed pork buns. He forgot he likes baked pork buns more than steamed so take this with a grain of salt, but he found the steamed ones to be too doughy for his liking. He said the shrimp dumplings were great. I absolutely love the roast duck. It had a great taste and is also the right level of fattiness for me. We brought it home and I ate it the next day and the day after, and it was still delicious reheated. Since it is in Mills market, it might be difficult to find a table and parking can be rough. I suggest parking a couple blocks away and walking and having the back up plan of grabbing the food to go. Or just go on an off hour so you don't have to deal with the crowds. We got lucky when we got there at 11:30 on a Sunday. There was no line, but by the time we left at 12:30 there was a line for this stall.
I always have to stop at Kai Kai when I visit Mills Market. They always have a line, and it's for good reason (plus the line always goes quickly!) I am obsessed with the Crispy Pork rice box with Hainan Garlic Rice - it's so fresh, juicy, garlicky, salty, and just the ultimate savory bite every time. Even the bok choy has an amazing flavor. I also tried the Roast Duck (also juicy and flavorful, but beware of bones) and the BBQ Bao (pillowy soft and sweet). The staff is friendly and extremely efficient during a busy lunch or dinner rush. I will be coming back over and over for Kai Kai, both to try new things and to revisit my tried-and-true!
This was an absolutely delicious meal. We got the 3 meat sampler. It was served over rice with a side of bok choy. We just put it the middle of the 2 of us and ate out of the container. The duck was the standout. The skin was crispy and perfect. We also got the appetizer sampler which was very good. My only complain would be bigger ramekins for the dumping sauce , you had to pour it on top bc no dipping as they were tiny and narrow. The entire food hall vibe was terrific. So happy I tried Kai Kai. The smell of their meats emit from the stand and beckon you as soon as you walk into Mills Market. I ordered the rice box with Honey BBQ Char Siu Pork and Roast Duck. The duck was not my favorite as I found little meat on the portion I was served. HOWEVER, the pork was amazing. The sweet and saucy pork was topped over the rice, which absorbed some of the sauces from the pork. On my next visit, I'm trying more from their menu and will get the pork again! read more

Kai Kai BBQ is in the Tien Hung Market Oriental Food Center on E Colonial Dr. The Tien Hung Market is kind of like a food court where you have several restaurants together and that is where you find Kai Kai. There food is amazing; I love their Crispy Pork. Fast and courteous service and food comes out quickly. The ambiance is very casual and it is a little loud in there. read more

Stopped here for lunch and glad I did! The mills market wasn't too busy. The cashier guy was nice. It took about 15 minutes to recieve my food. I ordered their bbq wings which was a special. As well as the w choice of meat of char Sui pork and duck. The meats were cooked perfectly. The sauces tied things all together! Definitely recommended this place! read more
Service was quick since we were the first ones to order. It wasn't that busy either since we got there at 10am , but after 10:30am, a lot of people started to come in. I got the bbq pork and the crispy pork with the garlic fried rice. Everything tasted good except for the crispy pork because I was expecting a way more crispier pork as advertised but instead I got pork that looked boiled and had a lot of fat than meat but half of the pork was thrown out. I paid $19 dollars and some change for this one plate. I personally don't see anything special about this place to come again. read more

Now I've got to say this is the best food spot in mills market. Their fried pork dumplings are absolutely delicious. They always have the longest line and it's always worth it. The ambiance is super cool as always. The workers are very kind and respectful too. read more
This place in the new-ish Mills Market on 50 had the longest line at 11a on a Saturday and it just got busier and busier. They were still stocking the hanging meats but they looked more and more delicious. We weren't super hungry so a few samples were ordered. The bao buns were delicious and the spicy chicken dumplings had that Szechuan kick to them which was amazing. I think the "hot bar" is managed by them as well. There are a few choices at this location, but this one seemed like the most popular. I'd love to try those bright red ribs next time!!!! Yum! read more

Located in the Mills market this is a great option inside the food hall. I had the shrimp and pork dumplings and both were delicious. They certainly do not skimp on the protein, and the flavor was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful while ordering and my number was called shortly And there was ample seating available when I was there. read more
I love this spot in the Mills Market when I visit Orlando! They went viral and the rave is real! Been going here for a couple months now and I love gettin' their roasted duck for my mom when I head back home! I normally get the char siu and roasted duck with the garlic rice. It's order and wait for your number to be called out kinda service since in a small food hall market. There's plenty of other food stands that serve different Asian cuisine as well. I've been here twice and both times the food was really delicious. I tried the honey bbq chicken rice box and the chicken was very well seasoned! The order is super repeatable and I would definitely get this again at another point in time. The second time I got the sichuan wings and omg what a tasty masterpiece. I loved the spice level and crunch of the wings. I ordered it with a side of white rice and I loved it! The atmosphere is super cute. It gave me adult food court vibes. We came for dinner on a busy Saturday night, and while it was crowded, navigating through the space was pretty easy. We decided to go with the honey BBQ chicken rice box ($9.95) with a fried rice upgrade ($5), chicken dumplings ($7.95), and honey BBQ pork baos ($6.95). The rice box was tasty, but the chicken is bone-in (which isn't mentioned on the menu) so it was hard to eat as a bowl with a fork and knife. I personally prefer boneless and would not get that again. The fried rice was outstanding though- definitely a must-try. The chicken dumplings were also really tasty, and the baos? Those were my favorite. I highly recommend getting them! I honestly give them the 5 start for only the appetizers and fried rice! Service was friendly, and our food came out quickly. If you're planning to eat inside the market, seating can be a bit limited, with most options being standing tables. Next time, I'll probably opt for a to-go order to make things easier. Kai Kai BBQ is a good, authentic spot that I'll definitely try again. read more
The food we got was outstanding flavorful. When talking to the cashier the knowledge of the food that they were serving with outstanding, they recommended things and answer all our questions. Lots to love, but a bit inconsistent. I've had Kai Kai several times -- once before they had a physical location while at a food festival and several times at their Mills Market location. Overall, I think Kai Kai has room for improvement, but I liked several of their dishes! First off, their homemade rice noodles are amazing. When you're able to get them, the texture is perfect, chewy, and has the perfect bite. However, it's a labor-intensive dish, so they tend to run out quickly and I'm not able to get my fix every time. There was one time where the Beef Chow Fun was a little salty, but it was just that one time. I also really enjoyed their whole Soy Sauce Chicken and their Singapore Rice Noodles! The value of the Soy Sauce Chicken can't be beat! It's huge and cooked perfectly every time. The only thing that I have mixed feelings about with Kai Kai is their roast duck. I LOVE roast duck, but I don't think I'd get it here. It's a staple in Cantonese-style cuisine, but I find that their ducks are why too boney and the skin isn't as crispy as I'd like. I think I'd prefer to get a duck at Tasty Wok across the street. Service is efficient and friendly! They're always super nice and give us extra chili oil when we ask. It does take a little while for food to come out, but they make the dim sum and noodle dishes fresh! We usually wait for about 10-15 minutes for our food -- this isn't the place to go if you're looking for food that's ready to go under a warmer. Overall, I'd recommend them as a chill lunch or hangout spot, especially if you're checking out some of the other places nearby too. read more

This spot is one of the many restaurants located inside of the Mills Market located off of Mills and Colonial Dr. that replaced the previous Asian market there. There were so many places to choose from but I decided to start with Kai Kai BBQ! There was a bit of a line but the person up at the register was quick to get through the line! I ordered the pork Bao and the duck Bao to go since I had to run back to work and then I also ordered the mango drink with pulp which was SO good! The buns themselves were okay but nothing super impressive. I had a hard time peeling the paper off the bottom of the buns themselves when it was time to eat, but they might've stuck in transit from the restaurant to my office. It might be something that's better enjoyed fresh and in the moment so perhaps next time I'll make sure I'll have time to stay and eat. Kai Kai has a decent sized menu so I'd like to try some of their noodles or rice boxes next time! read more
On the tour of Mills market we were able to also make a pit stop here for a to go order. Looking around the dining area and seeing the boxes of food people were ordering was enticing. The noodles looked great so I was happy when we split a noodle and pick 2 meat/rice box. The noodles were good. I ordered the soy sauce chicken and honey BBQ char siu pork which came with steamed rice and bok choy. I would advise against ordering anything on a bone. They slice the chicken leg quarter right through the bone (with what has to be a very sharp knife) which leaves bone fragments you'll have to pick out while you're just trying to enjoy the meal. I think that was the most bothersome aspect. The spicy dumplings weren't my favorite, the spicy sauce reminded me of enchilada sauce. The section of rice without bones was better and the BBQ sauce they use is tasty, but I'm not sure it outweighs the inconvenience of trying to find a way to dispose of bone fragments. read more
I've seen so much about this place on social media. I was very much excited to try this place especially since how much they boast about their crispy skin on their food. Sadly, I was left unimpressed and pretty disappointed by the meal. I did come here with another Yelp friend whose experience was much better than mine but I was surprised at the stark difference of quality in food. I got the soy chicken was to be frank tasted awful. It was flavored but pretty bland and cut in an awkward way so I was struggling to eat it somewhat gracefully (and not like a baby's first time with utensils). It was full of bones and impossible to enjoy. The rice was a plain as possible. I was shocked at how plain this rice was. The boy choy was nice but like everything else missing seasoning. There was some sort of oyster sauce mixed with soy sauce which was the only way I was able to enjoy the food. The only reason this gets three stars is because my friend who got a duck fried rice and their cucumber salad. The duck fried rice was out of this world. It was a top tier fried rice and full of mouthwatering flavors. I was definitely regretting my safe dish. I also don't eat pork so I was limited on my options. The cucumber salad was fresh, crunch and so so good. They definitely have good options here and the duck fried rice is it! But when you get a not so good option, it definitely falls flat sadly. Like all my reviews as I don't live near this area, I do consider is this worth the drive. If I was in a fried rice mood and had time to spare, yes absolutely. But otherwise coming specifically to Kai Kai, would not be a drive I recommend if you are out of Orlando as you can definitely find other spots with similar concepts most likely closer to you. But I do recommend coming to the Mills Market area as it does have options worth the drive in my opinion. If you have been eyeing coming to Mills Market, definitely make the drive and try ONE thing from here if the line isn't too busy (which I recommend duck fried rice or cucumber salad). read more
Good not great. They're cranking out a lot of classics and some unique items too but flavors weren't to my preference. No real service it's a counter/stall, just order then grab your food when they call for you. Inside mills market which has other food stalls too. Can be really busy and chaotic on weekends. Cool to see tien hung be transformed into this place and Kai Kai is a great anchor. read more

One of my favorite spots to get dumplings and cucumber salad. The cucumber salad is fresh and simple and the dumplings are juicy and always filled. I do recommend both! The staff working are always nice and food comes out pretty fast. This place shares the space with other restaurants so there may not always be seating when it gets busy. It is worth stopping by and trying! read more
For a small market type place, this has some serious roast duck and roast pork. I had the garlic rice as an added option and this could seriously be my last meal on earth, besides my mom's cooking. Mills market is about to be a weekly stop for me!!! What a great new addition. As it was our first time to the market and to Kai Kai we got the 3 protein option rice box to get to try a lot and find out our favorite. All of them were soooo good!!! The pork was definitely a stand out and would have to make this a staple every time we go. Everything was so delicious, fresh, and flavorful with the sauces that came on the side. Also gave so much rice! Ordering was quick and efficient and I can see how they sell out. The dumplings were also sooo good the filling was divine and the crispy outside was fried perfect. I can't wait to come back and try more, next on my list is definitely their hand made noodles! read more

This place was top notch. Located inside mills market. I had never been here before. I had a blast. So trendy and so many food options. I had the bbq pork bun from Kai Kai and the fried chicken dumplings. They were Devine! Absolutely amazing. I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu. read more

We finally got to visit Kai Kai BBQ & Dumplings located inside the Mills Market! My boyfriend ordered the Honey BBQ Rib Rice Box while I ordered the two meat option and got it with Roast Duck and Char Siu Pork to go. Everything was fresh and delicious even down to the bok choy. I especially love how they add extra sauces on the side to every order. The duck was fatty and the meat super tender, dunk it in some of the sauce and its perfect, and the Pork was flavorful too. Great portion for only $16 a box plus there is a whole bakery area shared in the market so we also got a Taro mochi bun, an Ube cream bun, and a whole loaf of Pandan bread to take home to share. All three were winners! Next time I come I will most likely try some of their dim sum menu and upgrade to the Hainan Garlic Rice as well. Everything is packaged in to go containers even if you are dining inside the food hall. Service was friendly and quick with less than a 10 minute wait for our food even with the space being super busy and crowded. This market space is a fantastic idea and I cant wait to come back and try some more Kai Kai! read more

The line took 35 to order but the cashier was very friendly. The chicken dumplings were really yummy, I would order that again. We ordered both flavor of wings and the shesuan was not spicy at all. The Singapore rice noodles were mid on my opinion, didn't have much flavor but they did pack a lot of stuff in it. read more
Stopped by to grab quick dinner. My son was getting unigirl and I decided to do Kai Kai. I choose the fried pork and soy sauce chicken and rice. The food was good. Came with 2 sauces and some bok choy. I think the quantity is small for the price. I'm just use to eating these simple basic Chinese dishes up north that are inexpensive. I would say you're paying for quality. With a tip this was roughly $19. The food is definitely cleaner than the Asian markets though, just more $. read more
This was BUSSIN. Got me wanting me to marry the damn crispy pork. And the bbq pork although I wish they put the sauce on it instead of the side. But nevertheless, definitely gonna visit again in the future but I will say I wasn't a fan of the dumplings. I've tried crispier and juicier and just better overall. read more

Just like the rest of Orlando, I had to see if the Kai Kai hype is real or not. And sadly for us it was 'ehh'. At least the food. It was good, don't get me wrong. Just not one hour standing in line waiting good. We tried a bit of everything; crispy pork, beef chow fun, honey bbq chicken, and dumplings. I was a bit bummed they were out of the pan fried dumplings. Out of everything we tried, we enjoyed the dumplings and beef chow fun the most. And the skin on the crispy pork. For obvious reasons. The staff themselves on the other hand deserve five stars alone. It is family run with everything made from scratch. Having an open kitchen allows us guests with an inside look into their operation, which I always find cool. Be prepared to wait. And pending on the day and time you visit, prepare to wait quite a bit. We waited over one hour but also visited around 1pm on a Saturday. Don't make the same mistake we did. Which also won't help your chances of snagging parking either. Kai Kai deserves to be tried at least once, at the least. read more
I love getting rice boxes here! Comes with a protein, rice and bok choy -- making it a well rounded plate. I tried the bbq char siu and roasted duck and really enjoyed both of them. The wait can take a while but the staff is fantastic and it's nice to be able to watch them prepare your food with the open kitchen. Parking can be a bit difficult to snag but once you get it, Kai Kai and other places in Mills Market are definitely worth a visit. read more

Numerous food spots under one roof. We enjoyed the dishes from @KaiKai BBq. Excellent flavors!! Friendly service and very helpful. Plenty of trained folks working the counter. Food hall was very cleaned with folks working the floor to ensure all was cleaned. A great Asian vibe. Grab N Go of assorted sweets along the wall. With a wall of cold beverages. The key of the experience is to arrive before the rush. Check out the photo below of the dishes we enjoyed. A must try. This restaurant does it right. Support local businesses. read more

A rare five-star rating from me, but well deserved for this gem of an Asian cuisine food stall within Mills Market. Savory duck baos and the crispy pork meal was hot, delicious and reasonably priced especially for American portions sizes. The Siu Mai was next level packed with meaty goodness and sauce served with it was more like a hoisin rather than a typical soy sauce. The menu was varied with something for everyone including vegetarians. Note that Mills Market is a food court style place, so sit down seating is limited and first-come, first-served. There's several high tops to stand and enjoy a bite from several vendors, or you can enjoy taking it home with you. In many case, it's a must try! read more

Ordered the pick two meats and upgraded to garlic rice which was also accompanied with bok choy- I chose the soy sauce chicken & crispy pork. The rice was amazing! I usually don't like ordering white rice but this was flavored so well! The chicken and pork were both tasty, but some portions of the pork was cold. The meal as a whole was above average! read more
