There are a few small soaking pools fed by the spring where people can relax. The place is very rustic though. Facilities are minimal and the pools are simple, so don't expect a resort-style experience. It feels more like a local hidden spot than a developed attraction. Worth checking out if you're curious about natural hot springs and don't mind rough conditions. Just come with the right expectations.

You can see the 8 freeway from the entrance to the hot spring. Very easy access with a large dirt parking lot. A dirt, gravel trail leads to the entrance. Free admission. It's small. There were many people when we arrived. The hot spring is surrounded in a grove of palm trees. There is a large fountain/shower. It looks like it could be a cozy place. I would worry about how sanitary it may or may not be.

I've visited more than 50 gyms, including modern chains (24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, Planet Fitness), martial arts dojos, and CrossFit boxes. This was the first place I have ever been to that does not have a water fountain for its members. It is absurd and reeks of greed. It is no wonder that this poor community does not have nice things. People here accept low quality. Clearly, they do not realize that they, as loyal customers, are the lifeblood of businesses. Without them, businesses would not exist. *** Just so we are clear, the employees and management were pleasant. I am not criticizing the people. I am criticizing how ridiculous it is for a gym not to offer its members free water. I am also criticizing how expensive these out-dated places are. (All of the private gyms I have been to in Imperial County are outdated and overpriced.) Rent here in Imperial County is extremely cheap compared to the rest of California. Yet these outdated little gyms charge $10-$20 more than large, clean, modern gyms in expensive areas. (Those gyms all have locker rooms with showers, and many have additional amenities such as pools, dry saunas, steam, etc.) Unfortunately in many cases people in this community pay more and get much less. The winds of change are blowing. One day, people in this community will have nice things like everyone else in California. How fast that day comes depends on us.
