There are BBQ grills and a lovely herb garden that guests and residents have use of. Many excellent restaurants close by, next door is the Fairmont Kea lani if you'd like to avail yourself to a spa treatment, or a cocktail at Luana Lounge. If you're a golfer Emerald golf course and the Wailea Golf Club are right across the street. Polo Beach feels like home and we will always go back.

Her symptoms were vomiting, headache, and very weak. We thought it was either a chemical smell due to construction in the building and/or from the air-conditioning. She had no issues Saturday through Monday evening. Monday we were gone all day into the early evening. That Tuesday in the morning, I contacted the management company, Coldwell Banker Island Vacations. I shut down the air-conditioning immediately even though it was 80° plus outside. I opened all the windows and doors and requested fans from the management company. We let the management company know again that something was wrong and they brought over three box fans to see if the smell it go away. Unfortunately, nothing worked. Nothing got rid of the smell. My sister was too sick to get out of bed and out of the unit. We could no longer stay in this unit with the odor and no air conditioning. I wasn't sure what was making her sick. There was a lot of noise coming from another unit/s all day Tuesday. Therefore, we thought maybe it was something to do with the construction and a chemical smell. My nephew was in town at a different complex. He came over to help me and said the smell was terrible and we needed to get out of this condo. At that point, I contacted the management company again to let them know we were leaving and complied with their checkout procedures. Subsequent to leaving the condo, my nephew had a number of direct conversations with the management company. So out of desperation and not wanting to ruin any more of our vacation, my nephew found us a last-minute hotel room with last minute pricing. Since we are no longer going to be in a condo, we had to dump all of our food. So now we lost ability to be in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo for the remainder of our trip and incurred over $3400 in additional expenses for the remaining portion of our trip. My nephew contacted the management company again. Their response was they would send someone over to the unit. They called back to say they didn't smell anything. The management company basically said it was our problem and would not reimburse us for any nights. I feel that under the circumstances, we should be in reimbursed for 4 nights. My sister was fine after four hours of being away from the unit which proves there was a problem with the air quality in the unit. This condo and the management company ruined two days of our trip plus we incurred expenses that we never would have had. We wanted to be in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo not a hotel room sharing a room and a bathroom. We had just lost our mother in January and another sister was diagnosed with tongue cancer. This trip was for us to have a chance to relax and begin the healing process of dealing with grief. This experience at the Polo Beach Club added to our stress and ruined our trip. For Coldwell Banker Island vacations to just shut us down and say they didn't care about the issue isn't right. Why would we incurred added expenses if there was nothing wrong with this unit. I would certainly never rent through Coldwell Banker Island Vacations if this is how they treat their customers. It's unfortunate that we can't talk to the owner of the unit to let them know that their management company is doing a disservice to their rental.

There are 4 pools on the property and it's a family friendly resort. The main pool overlooks the ocean and since it's on the beach, it's pretty convenient. I stayed here in July 2024 and saw the sunrise while having my coffee and walking on the beach almost every day. The rooms have a nice balcony and I loved watching the sunset from the grounds or from my balcony. The beach is the best part of staying here. Sand is so soft, it's unbelievable. It's a 5 min drive from all the restaurants in Kihei and parking is free on site. Management is very responsive. When I needed more coffee, they send it over immediately. Check in and check out is pretty smooth and easy process. If you are interested in staying in south Maui/ Wailea, this is a great option! I'll definitely be back.

Unit 18C is extremely noisy - do not book it…read more It is located right next to a busy road, with only a small strip of bushes separating it from traffic, which feels unsafe for children. The traffic noise is constant, so it's impossible to relax on the balcony. The map location is incorrect -- the unit is right next to the road. Also, behind the wall next to the bed there is an electrical panel, and you can hear a continuous knocking/ticking sound (every second), like someone tapping on the wall. Sleeping is very difficult. We asked management to move us to another unit and even offered to pay extra, because their website showed other units available. They refused and told us to buy earplugs and cover our ears. If you are looking for a quiet vacation, avoid Unit 18C.

I was a little worried that there was no air conditioner unit in the bedroom, but I stayed plenty cool with the ceiling fans in the bedroom and the living room going while the living room A/C ran for part of the night. The Maui Vista condos are located in an excellent spot in Maui - very central to most everything you would want to try out or do in South Maui and an easy 40 minute or so ride to Lahaina for more touristy stuff. The condos are located across the street from an entrance to the northern edge of Kama'ole Beach I - probably the best of the 3 for swimming in my opinion. I believe the entrance beach across from Maui Vista is called Charley Young Beach .... but it is basically Kama'Ole I. Parking was easy for Labor Day weekend - not sure about how true this is during high season. They kept the grills clean as can be - every morning, scrubbing away to keep them in great shape for residents and guests of the complex. THere's a very small swimming pool in front of the first building - I'm uncertain if that's true of the other two buildings or not. Tennis courts looked fine - but who wants to play tennis with world class beaches all up and down South Maui? Overall, this place is a good pick for location and basic amenities. It is definitely not a hotel - but with the exception of a few restaurants in Maui, who wants to stay in a hotel and not have the opportunity to cook for themselves? Maybe I'm just biased to my cooking. :) Enjoy Maui - and be sure to ask lots of questions of the owners of the particular units here that you're considering renting. I'm sure each owner does their own thing - which may be good or not so good for your tastes.

Just typing this review makes me want to go back! Across the street there is a boat dock and a nice trail that takes you south along the front of a few hotels. there is a nice grass lawn and plenty of beach there to check out. Also, there is a sweet little yoga spot along the trail, on the left past the grass lawn. It's within walking distance of everything you would need, a couple of restaurants- Cafe O' Lei is a must- especially at lunch. We went a little late to beat the crowd. There is a liquor store and a place to grab espresso at too. If we come back to Maui, we are going to stay here again, for sure.

It's central to everything. Management is incredibly accommodating and hospitable.

As for the property itself, it was just OK. The pool was fun, there were quite a few activities to enjoy, and the grounds looked like a lush tropical jungle. However, once you get closer to the rooms, you realize how dated and cluttered everything is. The carpets in the outdoor hallways also have a terrible smell. I understand the need for nonslip surfaces, but these carpets are just plain gross. We stayed in Building 6 in a one-bedroom unit with four people, and the room felt extremely overcrowded. We actually had to move some of the furniture onto the patio for the week just to make the space more manageable. The dishwasher also never seemed to get the dishes clean, so we felt like we were constantly washing them by hand. The bathtub was very small, and we had to request several basic items, including nonslip bath rugs, extra towels, a dish sponge, salt and pepper, and other things that should have already been provided. The staff was generally accommodating when we asked, but as a WorldMark owner for over 20 years, I shouldn't have to continually request basic amenities, especially after paying years of maintenance fees. All in all, I loved the location and enjoyed simply being on vacation. Unfortunately, the condition and setup of the unit left a lot to be desired. I'm glad we had the experience, but I would probably choose a different property for my next visit.

In fact, they asked us if we were willing enough to pay $30 per night, which we declined and they offered it for free. Maybe because they had plenty of rooms on this view or maybe they had none of the other view. Irrespective I thought it was totally worth it to even pay that additional amount because you can sit right in your balcony and enjoy the live music every evening from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. and the vibe is just cool with the pool and sauna. Everything right in front of you along with the ocean view a little further out. They have nice little gushers two water bottles in the room and an additional two that they give out as soon as you check in and a small box off crispy chocolate cookie things which were just awesome. The room service was great as well. On the day of checkout they were nice to tell us that we can use the hospitality room which had very neat showers. Two of them on each of the men's and women's that are complementary to use as long as you want on the day of your checkout and those hospitality rooms were kept clean. . We were in the kai Tower which I believe is newer Tower. They booked this through the Costco travel and felt it was reasonably priced. The beach access is after crossing a street. However, it's convenient enough in the sunset from the that beach is just awesome. It is close to quite a few shopping places, Street vendors, food prices as well

They also offer orchids for the ladies to pin in their hair, which is a charming touch. The rooms were modern, clean, and offered plenty of storage. There are two pools, both kept at a comfortable temperature that makes for a refreshing dip. They allow guests to use the amenities while waiting for their room to be ready, which we appreciated since we arrived early. The hotel also provides free bikes for exploring the area, and there's a happy hour at the pool bar. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily return for another stay.

The restaurant has been closed for a while. There were no thermostats in the rooms, at night it gets pretty hot with the doors closed and no way to cool off, even with the fan. I couldn't sleep well the 4 nights we stayed. That's the only reason for the 3 star rating. The walls are soundproof, the windows are not. The locals cruise the Main Street at night with their music, hooting and having fun- I didn't mind, but if you're a light sleeper.

The location is out of this world, I don't know how it could be better. You're about 237 paces to the beach and you're a very short walk to the Waikiki-esque madness of "downtown" Lahaina. The WiFi here is world-class. The fastest I've ever had at anywhere I've ever stayed. That is not an exaggeration. The rooms are nice and cool. (common areas have no AC though) The common areas have a great, communal, party atmosphere. (there are a few communal cats too!) Nice perks like free snorkel rental. My only complaint is: there just aren't enough restrooms showers here. There is always a line. The bed-to-bathroom ratio is way out of whack.

Don't come here with the intention of sleeping…read more There was no parking so I paid $25 to overnight park in a lot, and really I should've just slept in my car. I had a tent, and the mattress I had was actually amazingly comfortable, which is why I left two stars. I really wanted to sleep because I had a long day but that was incredibly difficult due to the close quarters of everyone and the lack of respect for quiet hours. My tent was right near the washing machine and the dryer was going till past 11. I didn't see any signs that said no washing past a certain point, but the house quiet hours were at 10. I've stayed at hostels all over the world and know partying and meeting people in your hostel has been some of my favorite travel experiences. However with this hostels open floor plan you can hear the screaming and hooting all night long, and can't ignore the partying.
