We have been coming to Maui for over 40 years and enjoy relaxing, going to old and new restaurants and walking the beaches and boardwalks. First time staying here, we won't come again! Pros: Beautiful rooms with very few inconveniences. List in cons! Beautiful pool area and landscaping. Also a few cons! Downtown Kīhei and Wailea not too far my car and more beaches and restaurants to go to. Favorite restaurants: Isana, you can walk to. Beach club, nice staff, good drinks, and great coconut shrimp. Threes, in town, great staff (ask for Josh) and food. Nalu, great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 30 min walk or short drive. Great happy hour, ahi tacos the best. Monkey pod, but I like the one in Kaanapali best, better views. Salesman Dan Hunter was respectful and informative for our update, not pushy! Beaches nearby: Polo beach, great boardwalk along resorts in Wailea. Keālia Pond National Wildlife Refuge, you can walk the wooden bridge and then the beach. You can walk the beach all along Kīhei, even across the street, it just isn't easy in some areas. Cons: Need a car! The adult pool at the resort was cloudy and dirty from the pigeon's. Never saw them cleaning the pool until we complained the third day. Then they tried to clean it better l, especially after our review and we complained again. They need to do something about the pigeons before it gets better. The other pools were pristine. You rarely see a pool attendant, no help moving chairs or umbrellas. Only the adult pool area have nice comfortable covers, about 25, the rest are very uncomfortable. Wore down crappy cabanas with dirty covers, no TV's working or refrigerators, not that I would use them, but if you have them they should be in working order. Complained to Chanel, day manager who didn't seemed too concerned. She did come down and looked but no feedback expect pool service did seem to improve, just not resolved. The grab and go is really just a small fast food restaurant, no food only drinks. Are room was great except for dirty floors from something they put on them (photo with stain from wet foot). Moldy shower walls (photo). Cabinet in front of sink has a handle I hit my head on each time I wash dishes. Washer very loud!

A special thank you to Shermila, the front desk manager. When the storm affected our plans, she was incredibly friendly, helpful, and able to accommodate us for an additional night in the same room. During what could have been a stressful situation, she made everything much easier for us. We really appreciated her kindness and professionalism. Pros: The staff throughout the property were very friendly and welcoming. The resort did not feel overcrowded, which made for a relaxing stay. Our room was modern, spacious, and comfortable, with a full-size kitchen that was great to have. There are a few areas that could use improvement. Housekeeping could benefit from additional training and attention to detail, as the room cleaning was not as thorough as we would have expected. The patio furniture also appeared as though it had not been cleaned in a very long time, possibly since the property opened. Unfortunately, it was dirty enough that we did not feel comfortable sitting outside and enjoying the patio. Another disappointment was the food situation. The website indicates there is a kitchen on site, but there are actually no restaurants at the property, including by the pool, and there is no real breakfast option. There is a bar across the street with limited hours that serves bar food, as well as a grab-and-go area. We received a coupon for the grab-and-go, but the options with the coupon were extremely limited. We were only able to order a premade McMuffin-style breakfast sandwich, while the other items were not eligible with the coupon. Despite these areas for improvement, we are still giving our stay five stars because of the friendly staff and, most importantly, the way Shermila and the front desk team took care of us during a difficult situation with the storm. That level of service made a lasting impression and was very much appreciated.

I want something that was pretty inexpensive but at the same time close enough to where I need to be. As mentioned before, out popped Airbnb and I decided to book it because it was the right location for me in North Kihei. Everything looked good in the listing so I booked with confidence. My stay here was very nice and it felt like a nice little place, which felt like it was almost like my home away from home (Oahu). The unit that was the Airbnb was located next to a pool within the complex. Unfortunately, I did not use the pool while I was here. Too bad though it would've been nice. Everything worked properly at the time of the stay. I even got to hear all the traffic up and down Kihei road. Best thing was that it was close to the Maui Bus line, so I could hop the bus back to Queen Kaahumanu Center after checking out. The property is large enough to have several buildings on site and is estimated to be a nice place to live on Maui. The process started with Airbnb and booked the listing about 2 months prior to arrival. Upon arrival, I received instructions on how to enter the unit and location. After accessing the unit, I felt right at home. No major problems occurred during my stay here in Kihei and the level of comfort was quite nice. It was very pleasant and quiet. The location in Kihei was very good. I let the host know I made it into the unit okay and upon check out, I informed the host too that I checked out and was on my way home. It was a nice escape to Maui and thankful that I found this listing. While it was a little bit pricey, you could split the payment into two affordable payments to make it less expensive. Can't complain too much though since you're in south Maui, for work or play, it's all good really! I paid about $325/night for 2 nights. Not exactly cheap but I was there for a half marathon event in the area. The overall experience here at the Kihei Bay Surf Resort was very good and picturesque. Definitely next to the ocean but you'd have to deal with the daily traffic coming and going Kihei. Things was good and I thought that it was cool and comfortable, especially when there was nothing really to say anything bad about. There was no visible air conditioning though. I did not know how to use the TV properly so I did not use that during my day. I also did not use the Wi-Fi, so I just use my phone network during my day. I use the freezer for ice cream and I liked the fact that there was ice cubes ready for use. Just had to refill the water into the tray and refreeze it. I used the refrigerator for leftover food during my stay. I did not use the stove because did not have to. For the most part, though, it was like home away from home but a place to rest before and after a half marathon event that started in Iao Valley in Wailuku and finished in Kihei, Maui. The bed itself was fairly comfortable and felt like it was a good nights sleep both nights I was there. If you want a good stay, consider coming to the Kihei Bay Surf. It's nice and safe here in Kihei. Across the street, you have direct access to the public beach. Kihei Bay Surf is located at 715 S Kihei Road on the north end of Kihei Road in Kihei, Maui. The prices fluctuate for the units, but you can get a decent price, based on your needs. There's at least 4 buildings on property, maybe more. Didn't count, but did see a pool during my stay. I'm kicking myself for not enjoying the pool when I was here, but that's a regret I will have. I believe the parking is free but I came by uber and departed by Maui Bus. There are bus stops nearby south bound and northbound on Kihei Road, so you can get anywhere in Maui on the Maui Bus. The Kihei Bay Surf has a lot of parking but I'm sure 95% of them are reserved for the people who live in the condos of the Kihei Bay Surf. There are restaurants nearby within walking distance but best bet would be to drive or catch the Maui bus if you have the time. Of course, you can do uber and Lyft too, if you feel the need to. The Kihei Bay Surf is a nice place to stay while you are in Maui. Centrally located and definitely worth considering on your next trip out here. I checked out Airbnb for the listing. Shes lied. everything. there are tons of roaches in the ceiling cracks. company plays cover up when reporting. Refused to handle in any ways promised an offer in regards to refund. then refused to offer anything. ignores calls and all communications. no way to escalate stay away.

I was a little worried that there was no air conditioner unit in the bedroom, but I stayed plenty cool with the ceiling fans in the bedroom and the living room going while the living room A/C ran for part of the night. The Maui Vista condos are located in an excellent spot in Maui - very central to most everything you would want to try out or do in South Maui and an easy 40 minute or so ride to Lahaina for more touristy stuff. The condos are located across the street from an entrance to the northern edge of Kama'ole Beach I - probably the best of the 3 for swimming in my opinion. I believe the entrance beach across from Maui Vista is called Charley Young Beach .... but it is basically Kama'Ole I. Parking was easy for Labor Day weekend - not sure about how true this is during high season. They kept the grills clean as can be - every morning, scrubbing away to keep them in great shape for residents and guests of the complex. THere's a very small swimming pool in front of the first building - I'm uncertain if that's true of the other two buildings or not. Tennis courts looked fine - but who wants to play tennis with world class beaches all up and down South Maui? Overall, this place is a good pick for location and basic amenities. It is definitely not a hotel - but with the exception of a few restaurants in Maui, who wants to stay in a hotel and not have the opportunity to cook for themselves? Maybe I'm just biased to my cooking. :) Enjoy Maui - and be sure to ask lots of questions of the owners of the particular units here that you're considering renting. I'm sure each owner does their own thing - which may be good or not so good for your tastes.

Plenty of great beaches and restaurants nearby and some of the rooms in the Kai Tower has stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Aside from all the core amenities you'd want out of a hotel (e.g. pool, bar, restaurants on site, etc.), the one major differentiator for us is the customer service. We had the privilege to have Terry help us during this trip. Long story short, the most recent Hurricane Nolo storm that passed through the islands changed our plans quite a bit, so we ended up with multiple reservations onsite with different types of rooms. Terry made the entire experience so much easier and was incredibly patient and kind as we worked through everything. We really appreciated how understanding and thoughtful Terry was throughout the process. Much appreciation to Terry and the rest of the hotel staff for the hospitality. We're already looking forward to returning here on our next trip.

There are two pools, both kept at a comfortable temperature that makes for a refreshing dip. They allow guests to use the amenities while waiting for their room to be ready, which we appreciated since we arrived early. The hotel also provides free bikes for exploring the area, and there's a happy hour at the pool bar. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily return for another stay.

It's situated just across the street from Sugar beach which is the longest walking beach on the island. In my opinion this beach boasts the most beautiful sunset in all of Hawaii. We stayed in unit 114. It has been beautifully updated with serene and comfy decor and had everything we needed for the 10 days we were there. We can't wait to come back!
