This place was a breath of fresh air after a morning spent trooping around Schoneberg looking for brunch. They have a decent breakfast menu, plenty of seating, and the staff are friendly. Also, bonus -- you can pay at the register once you're done instead of waiting around forever for your check. If you are a tourist spending the whole day sightseeing, this really comes in handy.
A lot of places in Schoneberg require a reservation for Sunday brunch. This place is more of a cafe and is therefore more casual, but we were not wanting for anything after eating here. The traditional German cheese plate came with *plenty* of food, enough for two people really. The pastries were all great and clearly homemade, and the prices are very reasonable. Breakfast for 4 (and we ordered quite a bit) was about 50 euros. That included multiple coffees, drinks, and pastries on top of the meals we ordered. We were stuffed until dinner, and so thrilled to find this spot we went again 2 days later.
Two very enthusiastic thumbs up for Kaffilein! read more
