One of my favorite coffee shops in Jersey City. Got an Americano but they have plenty of options coffee wise and a couple of pastries. The barista Pedro made an awesome cup of coffee. A ton of people came in while we were seating and enjoying the atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out. Fairly priced with its own homey ambiance.

My favorite coffee shop around here. Super nice owner. There espresso tonic is just amazing! Recommend dine in so you will have high quality glass for your drink! Very cozy vibes too. I often meet friends here.

Fantastic place! Wonderful service and great drinks. One of the only places around that does not use pre-sweetened chai latte mix. Beautiful space as well, with exposed brick and great decor. Wonderful playlist!!

Cappuccino

Wow! What a lovely, chill space! Kind and capable barista. I ordered a Cappuccino. It was smooth and wonderfully espresso-forward. My companion ordered a chocolate croissant - flakey and warmed to perfection! Free WiFi. Seating inside and out. Love the mellow background music too.

Those that follow me closely on Yelp will be getting a lot of coffee bar reviews through the summer! I've made it my mission to go to a new one at least once a week to spice things up... this week: Kaffa Espresso Bar! I was really looking forward to trying Kaffa as it just opened up a week or so ago. I was really excited to support a local JC business! To start with the good stuff, Kaffa is right in the middle of downtown JC. It's super accessible and easy to walk to! The vibe inside is IMMACULATE. Super homey and would be the best place to work during the day. The inside seating area is smallish, but enough for about 12-15 people. For the not so great stuff, when we stopped in today, the barista wasn't very talkative. I'd expect as some of the first people stopping in that they would ask where we heard about them and give some suggestions about their favorite things on the menu, but nope. She was nice but didn't say much besides hello and thank you. This wasn't my main reason for the three star review, but it was a small factor. The main reason was that our espresso and coffee (both shown in the photo below) were subpar for my expectations and the coffee was very small. I don't know if they have different sizing for the coffee but we weren't asked what we wanted if they do. It also didn't taste as good as I would expect for a espresso focused place, not sure if it was the beans or something else but I don't think I would get espresso here again. Overall, I'll go back and try something different but I don't think this is going to be my go-to place.

Rainy outside and enjoying a cappuccino.

Walked past this place a few times but today I decided to stop in. Thought the ace was cute, relaxing music, great service that brought my coffee over to me, and overall things were good. Lots of coffee shops around but give this one a thumbs up.

The great coffee and fresh pastries remind me of somewhere in Europe, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming - the barista knows their coffee, which is beneficial for those who don't!

I ordered the Iced Vanilla Protein Cold Brew, and my mom went with the French Velvet Latte (lavender and vanilla). Both drinks were delicious and well-balanced. The French Velvet in particular had a lovely floral flavor without being overpowering. My only complaint is that it felt a bit small for the price. Our group also picked up a few croissants, and everyone enjoyed them. They leaned more sweet than savory, which isn't usually my preference, but they were still tasty. The drink menu offers plenty of variety, though the pastry selection is fairly limited, and the pastries aren't baked in-house. The real standout here is the vibe. Call Me Mia is quaint but incredibly chic. The decor feels thoughtfully curated, with vintage telephones displayed in elegant frames, antique teapots, moka pots, and other charming touches throughout the space. It feels cozy, stylish, and very Instagram-worthy without trying too hard. As for service, the barista was efficient and knew what he was doing, but he came across as a bit short and matter-of-fact. Not rude, just not particularly warm or welcoming. Still, the drinks were excellent, so he definitely delivered where it mattered most. Overall, I'd happily stop back for another coffee and to soak in the beautiful atmosphere. If you're looking for a stylish coffee shop with creative drinks, Call Me Mia is worth a visit.

We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners during one of our visits, and they were wonderful. Everything we tried was excellent, including the hot chocolate, vanilla protein cold brew, and the cappuccino. I also really enjoyed the croissant, and the rest of the baked goods looked just as tempting. Highly recommend checking this place out!

The Pineapple Bobo with coconut milk was another good one. Pineapple and boba worked surprisingly well together. Black Grape Cheese is still my go-to. I always get it with no sugar and it's honestly not sweet at all. Mango Sago is my husband's favorite. Even with no added sugar, it's still naturally sweet because the mango is so ripe. For fresh fruit tea in JC, this is still my favorite spot. Get the seasonal fruit drinks while they're available. And you might get lucky and see the cute guy working behind the counter.

I get disappointed if it was sold out or the chef didn't make it on my visit. The spread of Yuzu Marmalade on top of the cake makes big difference. When it was replaced by squeezes of white butter cream, it became totally different taste and flavor, which i didn't care at all. The white milky cream in between layers tastes so good as well. It blends perfectly with matcha sponge and Yuzu marmalade in your mouth. I have also tried a madelane raspberry cheesecake, a madelane lemon cheesecake, a chocolate hazelnut opera, and a flan. Both cheesecakes were very flavorful and could spread raspberry or lemon flavor in my mouth right after the first bite. I liked both very much. I also really liked a chocolate hazelnut opera. Its chocolate hazelnut cream was so good. In the end, I liked all of their "opera" cakes. Flan was okay. Not my favorite. It was just a baked version of flan. It's too simple.

One word - YUM! Love…read moretheir lavender rose latte and the variety of flavors offered here. Tried their donuts and they're tasty - more on the baked, cake type donut. I do suggest small boxes for the donuts that have a whipped topping. I had an almond donut with a whipped topping and it was tricky to take out the bag without getting the cream lost inside. The Belgium bacon, egg and cheese was really tasty and filling. Eggs were cooked nicely, bacon was the perfect saltiness to it (but I did expect sliced of bacon not crumbled as it wasn't specified on the menu), I had the maple syrup on the side and I loved being able to just dip it when I wanted as opposed to having it mixed in the sandwich as it originally is made. Service was great - friendly, welcoming and helpful for a first timer! (Well, second after this review lol). Ambience is laid back. Great for gathering with friends or enjoying a cafe alone.
