What a great little place! And a beacon in the night. I'd finished playing a gig around 1am on a…read moreSaturday night and just as I was lamenting Dallas' general lack of late night options, Yelp showed me the way here. Yelp says they're open 'til 3am! (turns out it is really 2am, but I'm not complaining). It was staffed by a busy mom and her daughter, a delightful young college student who was very cheerful and pleasant for 1:30am. I could not decide what to choose from their menu, so they helped me and I came home with their Chicken Korma and Burani Eggplant. Plus a heavy foil-wrapped Afghan naan, along with a couple little containers of sauces. The mom did everything! She was putting things away and prepping to close up shop and somehow cooked the entrees while I chatted with her 'front of house' staff. They are working very hard! I tore into the food when I got home and it was delicious. I liked the eggplant best--satisfied my craving for middle eastern food for sure. The chicken korma struck me more as Afghan comfort food. It was good but more middle of the road. Will definitely come back hopefully sooner rather than later and try more options!

I definitely can say here have the best Persian dishes in Dallas! Kabab is incredibly delicious!…read moreAnd tongue was so juicy and well cooked! The portions are more than enough for one person and good for the price! Service is awesome! Restaurant is not crazy busy so you can hear your friends and stay as much as you like! Nicely decorated for taking photo! Oh! I forget to mention their tea and rollet cake! Try it ! You won't be disappointed! Definitely it'll be our place from now on! We went again and our guest enjoyed a lot ! I wanted to update my review after our dinner tonight. We ordered the Soltani and shish kebab, and OMG!!! They were absolutely THE BEST kebabs we've had in the DFW area! so incredibly tender, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked! The service was wonderful and the food was amazing. We also enjoyed tea and Swiss rolls after dinner, which was the perfect ending to our meal. A special thank you to Mr. Omid for making our anniversary dinner even more memorable by lighting a candle for us. Such a thoughtful gesture! We left very happy and will definitely be back. !

Stopped by Kasra Persian Restaurant for lunch and had a solid overall experience…read more I went with the koobideh plate, which came with a very generous portion of both rice and meat. The koobideh itself was good, definitely tasty, but more in the "solid" range rather than something that really stands out compared to other spots I've tried. I also had the mast o khiar. Super fresh, really flavorful, and a big portion. I like to eat it with the bread and alongside the koobideh, which might not be traditional but I love it. I also tried the tahdig gheymeh that my friend ordered. First time having it and I'm glad I did. The rice had a nice crunch and the stew was flavorful. Not sure I'd order it normally, but worth trying. The restaurant was pretty quiet during lunch, just one other table, so service was quick and smooth. I left full and satisfied. Overall, a good spot with generous portions and solid flavors. Not the absolute best Persian food I've had, but still a place I'd come back to when I'm in the area.
