My family were at our yearly Clarkesville GA vacation place and we looked up places to eat. We like to try new things and Kabobicious was listed so we decided to try it. I came here with my family for lunch and will never be returning. The young server was very nice and took our order. The wings special that we ordered came out and looked awful. It was a plate of white puffy wings in a brown gelatin looking sauce. I tried one and it was soggy and inedible. The flavor honestly made each of my family spit it out immediately. When we asked the server to refund this item, she looked a little nervous and came back with who I will assume is the manager or head server, an older woman with a scowl. This woman was not apologetic at all and just told us they are made fresh and they don't have skin. She was obviously annoyed with our request but we literally did not eat a single wing of the 15 ordered. I think the nice, younger server was nervous bc of this older woman and hope she finds a new job soon where she's not around such negativity bc she was the only pleasant part of the meal. The other dishes my family ordered (vegan salad which was a plate of lettuce, green olives and onions and the kids chicken bites which were as you would expect) were nothing to write home about either. It sounds like all of the traditional items are amazing judging from other reviews so probably best to stick to those when dining here. Additional Comments Following Owner Response: We absolutely each (party of 3) tried the wings but only had one bite each because they were THAT inedible. I actually spit my bite back into my napkin. Why would we order a dish which was to be one of our entrees and not even try it? That does not even make any sense. I have honestly never in my life asked a restaurant to take an item off of our bill until last week at your restaurant. Also, we absolutely had enough money to cover our bill and money is not an issue for us, we just did not think we should be paying for a plate of food that was inedible. I think I even paid with my Platinum AmEx which are not given to broke people (not that I need to prove myself to you but that was quite a rude comment). We also tipped our server more than 20% on the original amount of the check because we felt badly for her working with such a miserable coworker/manager. I tried to speak with your manager and she was incredibly rude and defensive despite me approaching the situation in a very respectful way nicely asking if we could have a refund since you could see that we did not eat any of it. We were lucky enough to stop here passing through town. Great owners and staff that greet you as soon as you walk in the door. Simple place and a simple menu done incredibly well. We knew we were in for a treat as soon as we tasted the homemade hummus and pita - delicious. Loved the incredible chicken and lamb kebabs, even the house made chicken bites that our son had were fantastic. The homemade baklava is a must and our son devoured the homemade ice cream. Unique Mediterranean food. Delicately spiced. Preparation is more like fine dining than a local restaurant. This food tastes more like a trained international chef. My family and I were looking for something "different " from the usual. Kaboblicious did not disappoint! Most of our party was unfamiliar with Turkish cuisine, so we sampled a vast array of items. As appetizers, we had potato balls and chicken bites. Both were well seasoned and very flavorful. Even the picky eaters had seconds! The food was all cooked fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. I had the Adana Special with Lamb. The grilled chicken was amazing! When the owner/ chef came out to talk to us, I asked him what made it so special. He said that it had about 19 different spices, and everything was cooked fresh and used his mother's and grandmother's recipes. My daughter said that her Falafel Platter was the best she had ever had. My teenage son tried the Adana Platter Lamb. It was his first time trying Lamb, and he ranked his meal here as being one of his favorites! I couldn't have asked for a better experience and introduction to Turkish food. I was in downtown Clarksville Saturday February 25th visiting my brother. We decided to try something new and different, so we ventured into KABOBLICIOUS. What a neat experience! I had never had Turkish food and asked a bunch of questions. The owner, Taz was extremely helpful, explaining the menu and his suggestions were spot on. Our food was absolutely delicious! This was a complete surprise as we were traveling through the town of Clarkesville, Georgia. We were actually going to go to a competing restaurant that we had been to in the past but were intrigued by the menu showing through a store window and stopped to look at it for a moment. We continued on to the other restaurant but one of the staff called out to us asking us if we had any questions about the menu we had showed interest in...we did and she was most helpful in convincing us to come back and enjoy the restaurant. It was absolutely wonderful! Everything we had from the Falafels to the homemade hummus were exquisite! The Lamb doner (gyro) platter was delicious. The potato balls were done just right and our surprise of the night was the okra stew! It was magnificent, pleasantly spicy and completely yummy...The owners opened in October 2022 and completely redid the building making it a very comfortable, hospitable place to eat. The chef came out to meet us and kept delighting us with samples of some of the other food on the menu that we hadn't ordered...the entire experience was delightful! We'll be sure to come back to this restaurant again when in the area! read more
