6. Chicken Shawarma Platter
Coori F.

Spicy chicken kebab platter was very flavorful and you get a very good amount food. I would definitely order it again. The chicken shawarma platter wasn't seasoned it just taste like regular grilled chicken. Still good but lacking the shawarma flavor. I would come back again definitely for the food, I think the shawarma not being seasoned might be just a one off. Everything else like the hummus, bread, salad and lemon sauce is very good.

Ceylon tea

Got the gyros lamb platter and found that the lamb pieces were dry and thin. Not sure if it's because there's a shortage on lamb but found that the quality was lacking. The Baklava was very good and the tea was also tasty. The service was friendly and the location was convenient. The ambiance of the restaurant was ok. I may return in the future to try other dishes but for me the experience was a 3. Thank you.

Came here once for lunch and just got one of their regular bchicken shawarma. It was good, but not the best I've had. Overall just an average spot which isn't a bad thing. I'll probably revisit and see what else they have and may change the rating, but for now this is what it gets.

Kabob sampler
Coty S.

The kabobs here are tender, delicious, and almost half the price of other kabob houses. Be prepared for Styrofoam service only. The sampler platters are my favorite, and everything is served with hummus, babaganoush, and pita. Their "garlic sauce" is not very garlicky, just mostly tahini. The base of rice is so comforting and buttery. Dine in available, but I get my food to go and eat at the outdoor tables over at the bubble tea shop next door, when I order a tea.

Mixed 5. Mix Kabab Platter
Kashfia E.

Ordered: Mixed platter $12 Ambience: NA (we ordered through door dash) Review: platter came with one skewer of spicy chicken kabob, one skewer of beef kabob, some yellow rice, hummus, thin pita / wheat bread, Mediterranean salad. The flavor was lit, on point. Portion size was small. Service is fast and great. All the items were well seasoned and flavorful. I wish the quantity was more.

3. Spicy Chicken Kabab Wrap
Alex C.

I have wanted to try this place. They have new owners and new menus coming. While I was there today, I had the spicy chicken Kabab wrap, it was pretty tasty, but the wrapping was very thin and fell apart while I was eating it. I would recommend this place if you're looking to try out some kebabs.

Finally got the chance to try out Delbar!…read more We arrived early for our reservation, so we decided to sit at the bar while waiting. To hold us over, we ordered the hummus and Za'taar fries. The hummus came topped with fried chickpeas, which was such a nice addition-- I'd never had them prepared that way before, and the crunch added great texture. The fries had a nice cut and flavor, but they weren't as crispy as I'd hoped. I'd order the hummus again, though probably not the fries. Once we finished our appetizers, we were escorted to our table, which ended up being a pretty tight fit. We were seated at a two-person table between two larger groups of four, so it felt a bit cramped. Honestly, had we known the seating situation beforehand, we would've dined at the bar since it felt much more comfortable for dining and conversation. By that point, we were slightly full from the appetizers, so we decided to share just the Hanger Steak and the Polo Sefid. The steak smelled incredible and tasted just as good-- definitely a great choice! As for the rice, I may have gone in with high expectations after seeing so many pictures of it on social media, but for me, it was just decent. My boyfriend and I weren't huge fans of it since the grains kept getting stuck in our teeth. The service throughout the night was excellent. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming. Our server, Lance, was attentive and helpful with recommendations, refills, and checking in on us. I also loved the aesthetic of the restaurant. From walking through the doors and sitting down, everything was pretty. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend checking out Delbar!

This fast casual cafe is underrated for the quality of food served. Think Mediterranean Chipotle…read more.. What makes them special? 1. Fresh made pita bread, made in house in a huge oven on premises. And, you can watch the entire cooking process. Not only is the bread made fresh, but it is CHEAP. 2. Fresh made falafel to order. The falafel and fries are made as soon as you order, so let them know up front. 3. Dips are delicious. Regular and spicy hummus, and babaganoush are all insanely delicious and under $5 for a tub. Pairs perfectly with their bread. My only complaints is that meals are served in a flimsy bowl that sucks all of the moisture out of the hummus. I'm also not a fan of their reheated meats and slop-bowl serving style that America loves these days. Too bad, because the meat quality and flavor is good, but once it's reheated so many times, the beef, chicken, lamb, loses it's appeal. The ordering counter is crammed into the corner of the restaurant and is very stressful to maneuver if there is more than one customer. They seem to do mostly takeaway business, even though the dining room is spacious.

Kabuli pillow (possibly wrong spelling) was the highlight, and best in town. In fact, it was so well prepared that we came back specifically from it. They claim to be the first and best afghani restaurant in town - and honestly this checks out. They have great starters/sharables too, best for me is always the betinjan (eggplant). I like the Mantu as well, but tbh, had much better mantu elsewhere. The highlight is the pillow. Just go there! Ambiance wise - very family friendly. Simple and quite interior, nothing fancy, great for families or parties who don't want much noise and just want to eat and enjoy a conversation. Great service as always.

The portions were a bit smaller than expected, and the rice was slightly bland on flavor, but I enjoyed the chicken kebab and the garlic yogurt sauce. The cucumber salad was refreshing, and was a nice addition. The green chutney sauce was alright, but a little watery in texture. We had to eat quickly due to scheduling constraints, but they were quick with providing takeout boxes, and sauce cups to take home with our leftovers. Overall, a solid place to get some great Afghan food.

There was indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful night. We had amazing service, great food, in a really cute neighborhood. We were especially impressed with the staff, and we had a member come out more than once to check with one of the people dining with us who had food allergies to ensure that how they were offering the food would be safe for her. It was also impressive that this restaurant was so busy on a Monday night. There were three of us dining, and we didn't even order any of the meats, and there was plenty of food for us. From the Mazzes, we had the Omani Shrimp, which had a great dipping sauce and the Beet Carpaccio. (they were very accommodating and put the whipped feta on the side). For the Spreads, we did the hummus with mushroom, shisito and egg, which was amazing and the labneh with pickled fennel on the top. It's served with taftoun bread which I would describe as a mix of a cracker and pita with sesame on top. We also enjoyed a raw vegetable dish with radish and the most delicious apple slices. Their heirloom tomato salad was beautifully presented and plentiful. They had a flight of condiments and we were able to sample zhoug, spicy tahina and torshi, which was a mixture of pickled vegetables. We ended with a pistachio lava cake with the most delicious cardamon gelato. Overall, we had an amazing meal in their beautiful outdoor space, and we thought the food was really reasonably priced. We were greeted by smiles and a welcoming team at the host table and I quickly appreciated the Mediterranean charm of the restaurant -- I felt like I could have been in Rick's Cafe Americain or the Blue Parrot! The dim lighting offered a great blend of intimacy and privacy, while still letting me see the people at my table and the food! And the food! My goodness, the food! We had a wonderful sampling of shared appetizers. The hummus and Dill labneh were solid and would have been deemed more than worthy by my Lebanese grandmother! Olives were a revelation, and were done in a preparation that included pomegranate which paired really well with the brine of the olives! The star of the first round, however, was the whole cauliflower, roasted and spiced. Without reservation, I can say it is the most I have ever enjoyed cauliflower - and I shall return for it again! I was already full by the time my falafel arrived for my main course. Falafel was exactly as it was supposed to be, and it was good. I ate it all, and then, a la Violet Beauregard upon leaving the chocolate factory, had to be rolled out of the restaurant! Our server and his food runners were all gems! The manager also came by to chat with us a couple of times. Great people at Delbar!
