Bolani was soo good and that chutney was the best I ever had!! Amazing

***SOFT OPENING*** Authentic homemade afghani food is finally available in suburbs of dallas! Everybring was sooo fresh and so flavorful like wow!! So glad we got to check them out. Since they are soft opening, they're still working through their menu items and service etc but overall everyone was so friendly with the frequent check in's and gathering feedback from us. Very hospitable folks felt like we were eating with family. For the food, the chutney is 10/10 soo fresh and spicy I loved it and asked for some to go too! The kabobs were super juicy and flavorful. The kabuli pualo is literally the best I've ever had... you know it's freshly made when it has the bones and beef fat still in it and the rice was just cooked to full perfection! Gosh I could eat that every day!! Yummm!! We enjoyed the bulani which is similar to a aloo paratha but different bread and the chutney just takes it to another level. I can't wait to be back and try out more items! Def adding to my favorites!

What a gem. The host was great and explained the menu. Didn't realize they were newly opened. The menu items were great but some were unavailable and they were flexible with my order and hope they keep this practice up for folks that like to try a mix of things. Food was fantastic. Chapli kebabs, amazing. Cool vibes inside too. Can't wait to go back!

Was a little hard to find, the restaurant is on the far right corner of the center and so glad we finally made it after weeks of waiting to come to Dallas (I live in Austin). Plain and simple, some of the best afghan food I've ever had at any restaurant. Food quality is not cheap and it's obvious they use very high quality meat, which is rare for an afghan restaurant. Bolani was our appetizer, perfect size and texture and not thick (I hate doughy bolani), flavorful, and had that crust. Was very good with the chutney they provided. Beef Tikka: Tender, juicy, flavorful, amazing. I ordered a second one because it was so good. Qabuli Palow was phenomenal, rice was flavorful, the lamb was tender fall off the bone, and overall a great dish. I'm always in search of a good Qabuli and it's so rare to find a place that gets it perfect. Chapli kabob was cooked well, very juicy inside and went well with the orange sauce they provided with it. Final dish was the goat Karahi. I would recommend calling in advance for this one if you are in a rush. What an amazing dish. Spiced perfectly, tender meat, very flavorful, and the Afghan bread they provided with it was authentic and out of this world. Restaurant was very clean! Service was top notch, very friendly team, accommodating and hospitable. Every person working there came and checked on us individually. I wish these guys much success and I can't wait to come back! Thank you for an amazing dinner and unforgettable experience. This is the standard all afghan restaurants need to learn from.

Kababistan Plano is truly a gem! Today I had their authentic Afghani food & it honestly felt like a proper traditional meal the kababs were juicy and full of flavor and the rice was perfectly cooked with that rich Afghani aroma. Ended the meal with their warm green tea, which was soothing and the perfect finish. The place has a nice atmosphere, the food tastes fresh, and the service is friendly. If you're looking for real Afghani flavors in DFW, this spot is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended!

Tried this Afghan spot after hearing a lot of hype, but it was just okay overall. The food wasn't bad, but a few things could've been better. We tried ordering several items, but about five things were unavailable. One dish we did order took around 30 minutes before they told us it was out, which was pretty disappointing. Service was fine, just not great. The bolani and mantu were both solid -- probably the highlights of the meal. The beef skewers were tender but the portions were tiny; they look big on the skewers, but each piece is about the size of a quarter. The chicken skewers were juicy but under-seasoned, and only those came with rice. The rice itself didn't really taste like traditional Afghan rice. The sauces were good, though, and helped bring out the flavors. Overall, not a bad experience, just not worth the price or hype. I'd rate it 3.5/5 but probably wouldn't go back.

    Qabli

The best food! Mainly the Qabli is original Afghani one. The Mantu was also super come here if you want an original Afghan cuisine experience.

Well luckily I've been inside their shiny marble halls enough time to pass my final verdict. For one, it seems like staff turnover is a concern here, as I often see new staff up front who are unfamiliar with their own menu or promotions while the food gives me an idea of what's going in the back. Which is to say, nothing has ever been consistently good here and there's been many occasions of food that's poorly seasoned, undercooked or simply spoiled. I know they have the ability to do better but is it worth the suffering for the opportunity? My answer is NO. For the markedly above average cost and inconsistent leaning poor quality, this isn't the local institution I would personally advise you to support. (Just FYI: I have had their dinner then brunch buffet multiple times, dined in, taken out and separately ordered delivery through a 3rd party app. I really had high hopes!)

I am familiar with Indian food so most of the names are recognizable, but the delicious differences are not to be missed! We ordered the lunch special which was $14.99 for 2 meats (one grilled and one in sauce), rice, a small salad of onions and lettuce, and dessert. I believe they specialize in grilled meats, cause the flavor was fantastic! The picture showed rice pudding for dessert but they came out with gulab jamen instead. I was disappointed at first but dang if that wasn't the best version of this I have ever had. I wanted a vegetable also so for the same price of $14.99 I got palak paneer and naan, which was a more earthy, less milky version as well. Naan was also best in class. I don't always love naan cause it can be rubbery. This was excellent. Soft and pillowy. It was so much food that we took it home and had a whole other meal. What a value for $14.99 each! The space is beautiful and though the clientele seems to be mostly Pakistani, they are welcoming to all. Service was a touch slow, but not painful. We still got in and out during our lunch break. I honestly think they just need more customers and so I want everyone to know that it was a new experience for me and I was super happy with the food. Welcome to the neighborhood Grand Tandoori!

She goes in the back and figures it out. Does not apologize for the inconvenience. Does not try to make it right for us. Will not be eating here again. I am not surprised this place is empty on multiple occasions I have come. For the business owner, take this as feedback. Food is hit and miss

One took 50 minutes and most recent took longer than an hour (we only ordered two dishes each time). While we like the combo plates, it's only meat. It screams for sauces, rice, maybe some veggies for relief from the meat-fest. Had items missing from orders. Calls to the restaurant about any concerns were basically sidestepped and we felt disregarded. Definitely out of the rotation for any future considerations.
