Lamb Chops or Rack
Sami G.

Best restaurant in Peoria - not kidding. If you want top quality healthy food, with exceptional service, and an inviting/warm ambiance, I strongly recommend checking out Kabab G - you will not be disappointed. I've been eating at Kabab G ever since they opened. I typically order the chicken shawarma plate with some falafel, extra hummus, and some baba ganouj to go (I love having leftovers from this place). I recently tried the filet specialty and the lamb kabob wrap and it was absolutely delicious. Very authentic and high quality ingredients in every dish I've had here. The food is extremely healthy and tasty. I always walk out feeling better than I walked in, which is extremely rare after eating at restaurants in Peoria. The plates come with rice (amazing spices in there), a side salad (fresh, tart, and refreshing), and hummus with olive oil - my mouth is watering as a write this XD. The service is exceptional. I get always get my food within minutes and the cashier (kareem) is extremely friendly and welcoming. He provides an experience that is unmatched for the Peoria area. The chef Mohammad knows me by name and always makes me feel like home when I'm in there. I strongly recommend eating at Kabab G. It is hands down the best restaurant in Peoria and many customers would agree with me. Give it a shot, you will not be disappointed!

Great healthy food including a lot of vegetarian options. They always have new dishes as day specials. The owner and his family are always so nice!

Good food good service. I had the mixed shawarma and the meat was a tad dry but the garlic sauce was great. Portions were large and I do not think I have ever had more meat than rice!

Combo kabob plate

The food is good but the people here really make this business 5 star. First visit...I had the combo kabob plate. With tax $16 and change. I selected 1 steak and 2 chicken kabobs...chicken was outstanding and would pick that alone next time. Included rice, a few grilled vegetables, pita bread, a generous small serving of hummus and a side lettuce salad. Bathrooms exceptionally clean as was dining area. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Definitely would return and recommend!

Hopped on over to Kabab G's over my lunch break. Food was awesome. Service was equally great, the people are friendly and super helpful. Great atmosphere, I loved the music and it felt very clean and well maintained.

Shawarma platter

The food is incredibly delicious. Authentic flavors. You can tell food is made with the best ingredients and passion. Highly recommend. Never had anything like it. Also the family is so nice. You feel at home.

Neat little spot

Prices are slightly high for basic ingredients but they've done amazing stuff bringing in the Arabian spice rack. Wonderful service, neat little tidy food spot not too hard to find, good menu with nice variety, and the flavors in the beef were incredible. There's good reason this place has the highest ratings on Google of any restaurant in the whole Greater Peoria area. We both had the shawarma, chicken and beef, filling and super hard to resist stuffing myself to bursting. Chicken was done nice and some unique flavors here and there with the rice and veggies but couldn't compare at all to the beef - one of those dishes that shows why Americans need to get out and try new things!

We had Veg kabab and falafel sandwich. On veg kabab, salad and rice was very sour plus rice was dry and little hard. Pitas were not hot.

Just a heads-up, they are now closed Sundays and Mondays. Still one of the best restaurants in Peoria.

Salaam, everyone!…read more Mention anything Middle Eastern and my friend gets excited. She loves her culture and where she comes from so she gets excited to have meals that are close to home for her. We've talked about trying Jenin Village for awhile but life finds a way to keep everyone busy. But we got lucky and our schedules lined up and we dropped in on a chilly Wednesday afternoon. I told her that she may have to explain some of the menu to me. As culturally diverse as Peoria is, there doesn't seem to be nearly as many Middle Eastern restaurants to try as there are Mexican, Italian, and Chinese... so my knowledge of them is iffy at best. We walked in to an empty restaurant (possible missing the lunch rush) and were quickly seated. I had the pleasure of having the sun in my eyes so I fidgeted with the blinds until I could see properly and stop fidgeting in my seat. Ivonne took the time to explain a few of the menu offerings and what things would taste like. She said she would get super mad if I ordered a burger. Thankfully I was fully on-board for trying something new. That new thing was Beef Shawarma. Ivonne got a mixed platter of their meats that was basically a 3-meat kabob meal. She said the offerings were large and I said I was hungry but boy, did it look like a challenge once the food was placed in front of us. The wait was a bit longer than usual for the restaurant but I assume that is from them cooking everything to order. My first few bites were confusing. It being middle eastern food, I was expecting it to have some spice... some kick... some pizzah (is that how you spell that?). This was 180 the other direction. This was sweet. Like, nutmeg sweet. Once my mind wrapped itself around the idea of sweet meat and rice, I was fully on board. The rice was long grain which was new for me to try. I asked Ivonne if I am supposed to mix the rice and beef together and she said it's however you want. So, I alternated bites of them together and them separate. I didn't have a preference on how I ate it cause it was delicious either way. Ivonne let me try her pita bread and dip and that was also confusing at first. The hummus dip made me think of peanut butter due to the texture but after I was halfway through the pita bread, I was starting to appreciate the flavor and texture. We also ordered water with our meals and that came out in bottled water. Not sure if that's normal here but something to note if you are thirsty. They may charge for additional bottles if you are feeling like a camel? The interior was nice, clean yet somewhat sparse. I am used to ethnic restaurants taking pride in their culture and adorning the walls with things that evoke the feeling of their country. Jenin does the complete opposite and keeps it plain. While it would've been nice to see some Middle Eastern stuff hanging up, it doesn't detract from how the food tastes at all. This isn't the first Middle Eastern place I've ate at and it won't be the last. Ivonne told me about all the places in the Peoria area and we are going to try and visit them all starting in 2024, adulting be damned!
