    Chicken Curry

The chicken curry was pretty disappointing because it didn't taste like curry at all - it tasted like slightly over cooked chicken in a bowl of tomato sauce. I'm giving a 3 star rating overall because the service was good, the waiters were nice, and the interior of the restaurant was cool, but this might've been the most underwhelming Indian food I've ever had.

Kabab & Curry is a new Indian and Nepalese restaurant on 9th St! We had a large group with various dietary preferences, and this was a great spot to accommodate all of that (made a res via phone). They provide complimentary papad (crispy lentil cracker), tamarind chutney, mint-coriander chutney, and mango pickle. Shared the following among 6 ppl, and it was more than enough food; 6/10 spice was a good level for us (pleasant, not overwhelming heat). Overall, the flavors were great, but almost every protein was overcooked unfortunately. - Samosa Chaat (vegetable samosa tossed with onion, chickpeas, tamarind and mint sauce and chat masala): Super flavorful! The mixture of chutneys with chickpeas and the samosa was delightfully harmonious. - Chili Chicken Momo (steamed dumplings sautéed with bell pepper, chilli, onions, soy sauce & green cilantro): Again, so good. The sauce was tart and spicy, the dumplings were stuffed to the brim. - Chicken Balti (Afghani influenced curry): I've never had this type of curry before, I liked it. - Kashmiri Rogan Josh (lamb cubes cooked in brown onions, fennel powder, yogurt and spices): Good curry, but lamb was not tender. - Tandoori Mixed Grill (chicken tandoori, chicken tikka, boti kebab, tandoori shrimp): The chicken was overcooked sadly, but the charred essence was definitely present. - Garlic Naan: Not as buttery or fluffy as I would have liked, but fine. - Mango Lassi: Perfectly sweet, creamy and tart; loved the little bits of actual mango in the drink. - Vegetable Biriyani (Indian basmati rice cooked with fresh herbs, spices, nuts and raisins): Also tried my friends' biriyani, which was pretty classic. The other suggestion I have is for a bit more attentiveness from service, but I do understand things get tough with large groups. We had ordered Gobi Manchurian but never received this and it was still on the bill (to their credit, they offered to give it to us on the house- we ended up declining this, but appreciated the offer nonetheless). Also, the QR code on the bill to pay online had additional items not ordered compared to the physical bill. Ambiance is nice and casual, lots of free parking nearby. Compared to the other nearby casual Indian restaurants, Kabab & Curry is a decent option for their bold flavors and tasty starters. 7/10 would recommend!

What a gem! Fresh food with the ability to adjust the spiciness so everyone is happy. I like a bit of spice to my food and ordered a 2 but next time I'd order a 0. Butter chicken was tender and good. Butter naan was delicious and so were the dips they brought out with the thin sesame bread. Even the rice was fluffy and good with the chicken. The portions are small and my husband was still hungry and I'd consider him a typical eater. Parking is on the street and can be hard to find depending on the time of day.

We ordered takeout, but the food was ready quickly and it was delicious! We got Chicken MoMo, Chicken Balti, Chicken Mango Jalfrezi, and Mutter Paneer. Everything was new to us except the Mutter Paneer, and we were blown away by the flavors. The MoMo was especially delicious to me!

I decided on Indian cuisine for lunch while in Durham for work. I searched the web and found this place with a 5 star with almost 300 reviews. Of course, I was skeptical, but as soon as I walked in, I began to see why the rating was high. The servers all greeted me. The dining area and the bar area were both very clean and the aroma was incredible. I went with the Lamb Samaosas to start , they were tasy. I tried their Mulligatwani soup to see how it measured up to others I have tried, it was the best I've had so far on my Indian cuisine journey. How could I forget the Mango Lassi, it was soooooo good. I then had the Chicken Tikka Masala with Basmati rice and a side of cheese Naan, that was my first time having cheese naan. The Chicken Tikka Masala was VERY GOOD. At first, I wasn't sure what to make of the cheese naan, but once I dipped it in the Masala sauce, I was sold. I'm glad that I gave them a try and you will be too.

Stopped by Kabab and Curry in Durham and had a pretty good experience overall. The Chili Chicken Momo and Samosa Chaat were the stars, both super flavorful and great portions to share. Some of the other dishes didn't quite hit the mark for me, but the service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit worthwhile. I'd definitely come back just for those two dishes!

I was excited to try this place because it's very close to my job. The service was outstanding and the food was hot and plentiful. I had the curry chicken and my friend had a shrimp dish. I think it was tandoori shrimp. It was smoking hot (came out in a sizzling dish). They also bought out a very then wafer bread with 3 sauces. All were tasty. The wait staff was accommodating and kept our water glasses filled. I would definitely visit again.

WOW! Excellent food and service! I honestly think this might be one of the best Indian spots in tow! We had Golbi Machurian, Samosa Chaat, Chicken Tikka Masla and Chicken Chili Momo ... every dish blew us away! The staff is super friendly and the ambience is nice and relaxing and very spacious. Highly recommend it!!

This place gets packed! Reservations are highly recommended especially on weekends. We didn't order drinks this time, but we started with the Saffron malai Royal, it came out "smoking" & was presented nicely! The chicken was very juicy and tender. We shared the chicken tikka masala which was presented nicely as well. It came with a large portion of rice to share. We also ordered Chili garlic naan & butter roti. The roti was okay. The naan was the star! Garlicky and buttery. Did I taste any chili, no but the naan was still delicious! Best I've had. We ended the meal with dessert, their Burnt Butter Pannacotta is a MUST order! Not too sweet and the pannacotta set perfectly. It seemed to have Smacks (yes the old school cereal) on top with a delicious sponge cake and fruit! It all worked well together! Overall I recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys Indian food or is willing to try it! We will be back to try other items and their cocktails!

The restaurant itself is beautiful and the light up menus are really cool! We started off with the cauliflower appetizer and it was huge. We couldn't finish it, but we did take some to go! I would give that a 10 out of 10. We then ordered the chicken tiki masala as well as another chicken dish. The tiki masala was very good. The other chicken dish had a little more spice than I would have liked, and a different flavor Profile, but was still good. The portions were decent and we had leftovers of everything. If we returned, we could likely do one Main + naan as well as the cauliflower appetizer. It was very clear that the food and ingredients were fresh and the presentation was excellent. At the end, we got a dessert that came out on a plate of what may have been dry ice, which made for a really cool presentation of "steam" coming out from underneath the bowl and crawling across the table. It was really, really cool. I noticed some of their appetizers are presented the same way. My spouse got two separate drinks, and I tried each of them, both were very good. The service was great, the atmosphere was beautiful, and I would definitely be interested in returning!

We have never been disappointed even once. What makes this place special is that their buffet menu is never static -- every single visit brings something new and exciting, whether it's a starter, entrée, dessert, or drink. There is always a surprise element, and I genuinely look forward to discovering what new item will win my heart that day. Let's talk variety -- because they deliver beyond expectations: At least 2 vegetarian and 2 non-vegetarian starters 4 flavorful curries 2 rice varieties 2-4 dessert options, plus a welcome drink and tea Even more adds-on during festival/holiday specials For anyone wondering about the taste -- it is exceptional. Truly unmatched in the RTP area. I've been to many Indian lunch buffets around here, but nothing comes close when considering taste, quality, and price together. You will always find at least one dish that hits your sweet spot and leaves you feeling fully satisfied. And speaking of hospitality -- Anand deserves a special mention. He is our guy every single time we visit. He welcomes us with a warm and genuine smile, checks in often, and ensures every detail is taken care of. Meeting him, enjoying the food, and feeling at home has genuinely become part of why we come back so often. Anand is amazing -- his service adds a personal touch that stands out in today's dining experience. Some people may ask whether they have live dosa/pani puri stands or fish fry counters -- no, but I assure you, you won't miss them because of the exceptional variety and flavor they already offer. You'll likely walk out with a happy heart, tight belly, and zero regrets. Their pricing is honestly unmatched for what they offer -- especially in this economy. Hats off to them for maintaining quality while staying affordable. If you live in Raleigh-Durham or are visiting the RTP area, you must try the weekend buffet at Lime & Lemon at least once. Chances are -- you'll go back again, just like we do. Highly recommended!

I ordered a dosa and an appetizer, which were splendidly presented on banana leaves. I asked for my Indo-Chinese paneer extra spicy, and they seemed a bit skeptical, but it did deliver a heck of a spice kick and an abundance of leafy tropical flavor (full curry leaves are common in this cuisine). The dosa was large, extra thin, quite salty, and satisfying. A chai was small and unsweetened. I didn't get quite the bustling atmosphere that their other location (in Cary) possessed and the menu for some reason did not have the kottu paratha I wanted to try, but I would definitely recommend anyone seeking some South Indian food to come here.

I like the tangy coconut flavors though the paratha it came with was disappointing, but flakey and very dry. Room for improvement: - We ordered the jaggery chicken because it's not something we usually see on menus, I wouldn't call it an Indian dish but an elevated chicken roast and I liked it a lot! Unfortunately it wasn't hot or warm when we ate it so we took most of it home to reheat. I also feel like it should have come with some sides, tandoor dishes typically do like even a little side salad would have been nice because it was too dry to eat with naan. - the aloo tiki chat was not it. It was potato wedges with some sev sprinkled and barely any yogurt. It definitely needed a lot more going because it was super dry and not flavorful. Nonetheless I'd return to try the mango lassi again and try their featured cake!

Dahi kebab was the winner, it was crispy and soft and went perfectly well with its sweet gravy which was good twist to this simple appetizer. My second favorite was the chapli kabab, it was so soft and juicy and very light on spice. Their fish dishes were a little disappointing, I guess the fish and preparation both were not impressive. For main course we ordered their malabar fish curry which again was a disappointment, punjabi chicken curry which was pretty good, but the daal bukhara stole our hearts, very well prepared and flavourful dish. We couldn't stop ourselves from ordering some desserts, so we ordered their balu shahi with Rabri and gulab jamun with icecream. Rabri was great, but balushahi was big, seemed undercooked and bland. It's very difficult to mess up gulab jamun so that was good. The service was fast and the people were so friendly. We paid tip over the bill that already had gratuity included since we dint know, and the person came back with money and returned it saying the gratuity is included. We loved the honesty and warm gesture of the people working there. I am really looking forward to visiting this place again soon and trying their other dishes.

Service: wonderful! They were quick and they were so sweet. We made a quick reservation online and…read moreby the time we arrived the table was set for us! Ambiance: perfect for a 1st date. It's a casual restaurant but all the decor and the modern touches with Indian influence gives it a great sultry vibe. Food: top notch. Thus far is our favorite Indian restaurant out there. The naan itself is freshly made and SOFT, thick, and has a nice chew. Best naan in the triangle area. Highly recommend the bread basket as you get a good variety of their different naans. The paneer pakora is crispy, piping hot, and has a great cumin and lightly salted taste. In the middle is mint chutney so it's has nice layers of flavors. The lamb palak was super tasty as well! The spinach was nice clay cooked where it was creamy with no bitter after taste. The lamb was fall apart tender! The lamb jalfrezi was also a show stopper, it was spiced, slight tomato sauce, and lambs again, super tender that can be broken up with just fingers. The malai chicken was good, but wasn't our favorite. The meat is tender, but I felt like the flavor wasn't hitting as much as the other two. It was lighter and even with the lemon it still felt like it was missing something. Overall: will definitely be coming back!

Tandoori Bites is a solid, no-frills option if you're craving Indian food. We went on a weekday…read moreevening and ended up being the only ones dining in, but there was a steady stream of people coming through for takeout, so it seems like more of a grab-and-go spot. Service was friendly and attentive (probably helped that it was just us), and there was plenty of seating. The menu has all the classic Indian dishes you'd expect, and portions are decent. Food-wise, everything was good and hit the spot, but nothing really stood out. Overall, it's a reliable, standard choice--worth checking out if you're in the mood for Indian, especially for takeout!
