Awful customer service. DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM BJS! So I bought 4 brand new Michelin tires from BJS…read morea couple weeks ago for my X5. As far as install they did fine and seem competent. The guy was friendly and I had him look up to see if he could get me tires for another car I own with weird tire sizes. We spoke for awhile and I admitted that I do not usually buy tires from BJs. I admitted that I own 8 cars and typically do business with Warren Tire. He pointed out the free services I get when I buy from BJs. Free rotations, free road side hazard, etc. So I thought maybe I will continue going here for tires. Fast forward to Friday 2/28/25. I hit a pothole and have a shredded tire, can't be fixed. Was thankful to pull into a Lowes parking lot. I immediately call BJS Tire in Saratoga. No answer, voicemail. Call several more times no answer at all. It's 10AM on a Friday. I left several messages, and you know what? I still have heard nothing from them and it's Sunday March 2nd. What good does your roadside hazard do if you can't get ahold of them? I told them I was stuck, no concern, no response. Sitting in the Lowes parking lot I decided I would have the car towed to Warren Tire instead of BJS. Sadly BMW gives you no spare so I could not change the tire myself and a can of fix a flat was not gonna help me in this situation. I like BJ's, but not for tires. You know what happened when I called Warren Tire? Someone immediately answered the phone and told me they will look at it immediately once it arrives on the tow truck. I am not sure if they give me that service cause I am a great customer or what. But that is the service you need, especially when you need help. Do yourself a favor and buy tires from a tire store who can help you should you run into problems.

Best place to come for your meats. Buy in bulk and get a slight discount. Meat here is super fresh…read moreand prices are reasonable for the amount you get. It everything offers you the best discount compared to other stores so do your due diligence. Another good thing to buy here are books at a big discount. I was shopping today and kept hearing this whistling sound so I had to track it down. They have a robot rolling around checking inventory. It was the craziest thing I ever saw. I walked in front of it and it stopped and tried going around. This location is well organized, clean and always stocked.

I've been going to the RD in Colonie NY pretty regularly -- once every two to three months -- for…read moreabout five years. First of all: top grade fair trade organic coffee beans for staff coffee -- less than what you'd pay for Folger's in the grocery store. Second of all: year-end accounts -- every transaction for your records printed out on real paper or sent to you via email. Good-bye shoe boxes full of fading cash register receipts! Third of all: epoxy-coated metro racks and commercial dish racks -- extremely important supplies for a growing on-farm yogurt-maker such as ourselves. Not to mention cleaning supplies & low cost high-concentrate Clorox. Nitrile gloves. 5 gal pails of laundry detergent for uniforms. Fourth of all: BAZZINI NUTS. OMG. Our dairy workers love them. Cashews, pecans, walnuts, brazil nuts, almonds -- expensive, but again not nearly what you'd pay in the grocery store, and top quality. Also, no mess no prep, just grab a handful of nuts and people happily keep working. Great perk, keto and vegan. High fiber & good healthy fatty acids. Fifth of all: TEH SPOOMS. You know how you're doing in-store demos and tastings and festivals and yada yada yada and everybody's always running out of spoons? At RD, you buy one box, and there are TEN THOUSAND of them. Buy two boxes, you will never run out again. Sixth of all: the focus on supplying small local businesses, and the awesome diversity of customers. It's like the United Nations in the checkout line, with restaurateurs and store-owners from Africa, the Caribbean, Italy, Asia, India, and the Middle East stocking up on peppers and big bags of ginger and garlic and meats and cases of coconut milk and spices and things I don't even know the names of or what they're used for. (hint: ASK!) There's an energy about the place. I like it. But I saved the best for last -- the incident that prompted me to write a review. As I was checking out last time I was there, the cashier said there was some kind of problem with my account showing up on the register. Apparently, I'd left two small items in the U-boat when I was loading up my car the visit before -- eight or ten weeks before. They'd retrieved them when they were collecting the U-boats, correlated the items with recent purchases to my account, and noted it in the computer. So at the check-out the next time I was there, they said they could either give me store credit, or I could get those items I'd already paid for. SRSLY. They even let me run back from the check-out to get them, which did not take long bc I knew exactly where in the store they were. You know, this was only ten, fifteen bucks worth of stuff. Whoever got the U-boat out of the parking lot could have easily just pocketed the nice little box of sea-salt and the wheel of brie. But no! They cared! They did the right thing! My account was credited. Whatever the perception of the shopping experience at RD other people have, I experienced this insanely exceptional customer service. And, THE HONESTY -- I really appreciate the honesty. And also I appreciate the systems design that allowed me to be notified at the register on a little green screen. Nothing fancy. Just good.

BJ's Wholesale is my happy place. Never busy -- feels like I've got my own private Costco, but…read morewithout the bumper cars in the aisles. Shelves are always stacked high, everything clean enough to eat off the floor (not that I tried... yet). The workers? Absolute gems. Friendly, helpful, and actually look like they want to be there -- rare find these days. Only hiccup is the deli counter, which sometimes moves slower than a sloth on vacation. But hey, the prices and offerings are worth the wait (and where else can you get enough cold cuts to feed a football team?). The crown jewel? Mobile checkout. Scan, pay, bounce. No waiting, no lines, no nonsense. Straight in, straight out -- like shopping on "easy mode." BJ's, you've officially got me spoiled.

This is not a bad place overall there's a few things that make it so that I am not excited about it…read moreand the reason why it lost a couple stars. First off let me start off by saying that the appearance of this place is not horrible, but not good either I understand that you're walking into basically a warehouse turned into a grocery store. My only issue is that it's still looks unkept in a lot of areas. They do have a machine that goes around and does inventory and it does not care that if There's a customer in its way it just plows right through you. I had my cart and was looking at ribs and it came around the corner and kept coming until it hit me not hard, but in other words, it wasn't moving from its path, which is strange to me because I see it move other times and I'm not exactly a small person. Another thing that I'd like to add that lost a star for me is the fact that you would think that with this you're buying in bulk to save money. I was looking at the ribs there and we ended up purchasing the ribs. We ended up getting less than what we originally planned . Also, it was hard to find what we were looking for because they were all over the place one was in one section another, and another section instead of just having them all together. And then when we went to another store, I found ribs that were actually cheaper and a better quality, but because we already purchased them, we did Not Buy the ones that were there. Overall, it does have pretty much everything that you're looking for it's just a matter of how much you're willing to spend and is it really bulk or are they saying bulk but not meaning bulk. Check it out if you're ever in the area make a decision on your own. It's not a horrible place. Just some things that could be improved. Thank you for listening.
