I love this place. These folks love dogs and facility is welcoming, clean, and very well maintained. They help my dogs stay happy and healthy. True animal lovers and experienced in rehab for ccl tears and hip dysplasia (my Atty had both). I just can't say enough about what a blessing these folks have been for us. I took my Australian Shepherd Tobi here a couple years ago when she was 2. She liked playing in the water, but only shallow water, and I wanted her to be more comfortable swimming in lakes and rivers when we go hiking and adventuring. We were the only ones there for our appointment so she wasn't distracted by other dogs. The owner was very good with Tobi and gave her time to acclimate to going in the water by herself, not forcing her in. I really liked that. She wore a dog life jacket for the first time that day and it took some adjusting but she soon gained her confidence and was chasing balls around the pool and getting her face in the water. She had a great time and when the session was over and she came out, she was so excited and I think she was proud of herself, I sure was! She wasn't too afraid of the large blow dryer and he was gentle with her so she learned to enjoy it. I would highly recommend this business for your dog for so many reasons! read more

There is something weird about this business -- no one there is willing to answer their phone calls. I've tried for days during their business hours and can't get ahold of anyone and I'm not interested in playing phone tag with them. For about $90/session, you would think that they can afford a receptionist or at least pay for an answering service. I will change this review if I ever get hold of them. But for now, this is the extent of my experience with them and I'm not at all impressed. read more

Scott and the K9 Swim Center are a fantastic local resource! My dog Bailey, a 7-year-old black lab, tore CCL's in both legs. One leg has been operated on and another operation is scheduled. We want to keep her strength up between operations with swimming. Scott was extremely kind, helpful, and respectful of Bailey's limitations. Bailey can be obnoxious - she loves swimming so much she completely loses her mind. Scott rolled with it and made for the best, safest swim experience possible. I am extremely impressed by Scott and the K9 Swim Center. The facility is clean and well organized. There is a long ramp to the pool. Bailey is rinsed and dried after her swim session. Scott was careful to assess her swimming skill and to see how manageable she was, which I appreciated. I feel fortunate to have the K9 Swim Center in our community. And Bailey is ecstatic! read more

Scott did such a wonderful job with my two dogs. He made sure they were comfortable with the water and was so caring! My dogs are high energy and they loved swimming with Scott. My lab has a leg injury and isn't supposed to put much weight on his paw. Swimming was perfect because he can exercise and without making his injury worse. We will be going back. These folks are so caring and wonderful to my dog and me. ZsaZsa is a 130 lb very furry leonberger. Scott handled her fear, anxiety and arthritis with skill and gentle authority. We worked to find the right duration and schedule to afford her strengthening without pain. I see marked improvement already. Scott is wonderful with my dog Earl. He's very patient and caring. The facility is nice, clean and the pool is kept at 90 degrees, so it feels great on my "old" puppy's bones. Earl is a 10 yr old pit/lab/shepherd mix recently diagnosed with arthritis and bone spurs. He had also incurred some soft tissue damage in his neck. We needed a way to heal him and continue with exercise. We found Scott. The pool is a great way for him to get exercise that doesn't hurt him. It's also awesome for winter swimming when the lakes are too cold. Scott will work with you to find a regimen that works for you and your dog, and his prices are reasonable too. It's super fun for all of us. The only problem is Earl never wants to leave! read more

I love the swim center!! My Rosie was terrified of water. She refused to go out in the rain even. After just 3 sessions in the water with Scott she actually ran into Cottage Grove Lake up to her little ankles. Now when we walk she loves to stomp through the wet leaves and, unless it's raining hard enough to get in her ears she doesn't care. read more
