Miranda was recommended to me by another trainer in town who didn't have openings. Boy am I glad I matched up with her! In just a few short months, Miranda has shown me how to guide my girl into making good choices for the situation so she's not just listening to my commands but shaping into an intelligent canine. I appreciate that Miranda has a diverse staff to give exposure/socialization to my puppy. She always makes sure there is a good ratio of people to dogs in day training (note: not "doggy daycare" because they work them!). When I pick up Xena, I get the details of the day: what she did well, what she had difficulty with and how to reinforce at home. Puppy socials are the best (too bad Xena is too big now)! Xena now sees kids and sits her butt down so hard, wagging tail, waiting for a treat. Also, the outings are so good for my puppy to learn being outside around other dogs/people doesn't mean she gets to play play play. In a private with Miranda, she jumps right in to help you figure out solutions to your training problems. She is realistic about what you and your dog should work on to get to the goal you want; adding onto those skills as you both improve. Not everyone wants a dog to jump through hoops. I left my dog at Precious Pets for a weekend last summer and the result was ANYTHING but satisfying! The place was filthy. You could tell by the smell that they never use the proper sanitizing cleaners, then there was also the fact that my dog developed Clostridial Enteritis while there (terrible bloody diarrhea caused by high bacteria levels.) There are no dividers between the kennels, only chain link fence, so the dogs can see, bark at and pee on each other and get at each other's feces. When I got my dog back, he was exhausted, scared, very THIRSTY and covered in other dog's urine from head to toe. It took WEEKS of antibiotics to get him healthy again after staying at Precious Pets. And it should be noted that he has never gotten sick at any other kennel we have taken him to. I should have never left my pet there and I was so sorry that I did. I will NEVER take my dog anywhere near this place again and neither should you!! Pet parents beware!!

This place is incredible. I came here originally to establish care for my furry best friend and get…read morea rabies vaccine. The entire staff was incredibly kind, and the doctor didn't try to sell me on a bunch of additional treatments. I left paying an incredibly small amount for a rabies vaccine and a full exam. Fast forward a year and a my doggie had a dental emergency. I knew I didn't want to go anywhere else, so I waited for the morning and they got me in same day. I saw a different doctor who was equally amazing. We knew we needed to get his tooth out asap (very infected and swollen) so he was able to rearrange the schedule and get him in first thing the next morning. We ended up doing a full cleaning while he was out, and I told him to do x rays and other services to his discretion. He ended up not needing to, and was able to keep my bill to a minimum. I was SHOCKED that with all the services we received I was able to keep the bill under $1,000. (Eval, difficult extraction, anesthesia, cleaning, rabies booster, additional meds during procedure, etc.) It's a great feeling to know that your pet is in the hands of someone who is truly just trying to do what is best for them and not to inflate the bill. They dealt with my anxiety with ease and even my dog didn't seem to be on edge. 100% recommend taking your pet to this place.
