Basic fitcare - that includes two walks is $38 per day and you can upgrade to private swimming +/ or circuit training. Hours of operation make it a little inconvenient, as picking up and dropping off is necessary, but one day per week I can always make it happen. With just two 30 minute sessions in the pool with Jacqueline's skillful hands, my dog confidently walks into any body of water now. Our dog is so excited to be dropped off I can't open the car door fast enough! The staff are all so sweet and seem to genuinely love dogs. I suppose it's all about finding a place that your dog is comfortable with and this is definitely the spot for us. We were on a wait list for a a week to two, then they called to say there was a spot but we had to make an appointment for the initial drop off as they wanted to make sure there was an extra staff member on to make our pup's experience a positive one (I won't lie, I thought this a bit strange and funny as though I were dropping off my child but now I realize they just knew what they were doing and it showed with a happy dog upon pick up). After that we were free to drop him whenever we need, no appointment necessary. Seriously love this place and so happy we found it! It's comforting to know your dog is happy and well taken care of.

Although I've often thought of writing a review, I never got around to it but when I picked Angus up yesterday, I knew I had to tell anyone looking for a doggie daycare, what a special place the Doghouse is and how wonderful & caring the people who work there are. You can expect your doggie to have walks, play and cuddles, but on occasions like Halloween, you can expect the staff to go above and beyond and add another layer of fun to the day. My Wee Angus really loves coming here. I really appreciate the environment Christine (manager), Laura and Jenna have created for the doggies & the positive work environment they seem to have with each other. This is a great place for small dogs and I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a daycare for your small doggie.

I'm surprised that I am the first one to review Oh my dog!…read more We took Casper to Simone's basic obedience training class when he was just about 10 months because we wanted to refresh ourselves, and him of course. We had him since he was a pup so he was already generally good with us but he was in that teenager stage - ha ha. We loved it and so did Casper which is great. Simone was always calm and very attentive to all of our concerns. She is very patient and well, you can tell her love for dogs! Her classes are smaller so she is able to spend quality time with each dog which is great. The space is large but has a negative, which I will get to later. We learned sit, heel, stay, excited recall, normal recall, down and many more. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs to refresh their training ability (as essentially these classes are more for us than our furry friends) and especially new dog owners as Simone, again, is very patient, calm and knowledgeable. The classes were held in Adventure Den Daycare.. and back to that negative. It smells pretty awful in there, not to the point where it was unbearable (at least not to me) but enough that my clothes kind of smelt like it when I got home. Really, that's the only downside I can think of, but not bad enough for me to even take off a star.

I had a private session with Simone over a year ago and never got around to writing a review…read more my dog was having some behaviour issues: she couldn't tolerate excitement from other dogs and would try to pin them down (loudly) if they got too excited. Simone was supposed to come for a 1.5 hour private session that ended up taking 3 hours. We spent most of the time indoors but did go outside as well. She didn't seem to understand what i was trying to explain and seemed afraid of my dog. At one point, she even suggested i wave a treat in front of my dog's face to stop her when she's attacking another dog. This is just crazy! At the end of the session, she actually told me she needed to go home and think about this and would email. She never gave me any advice at all during the 3 hours she was with me. She left my house telling me she was confused and had to think about but had no problem taking my money. I didn't hear from her for a week, so I emailed her. She responded a few days later with a very generic email that had nothing to do with my dog and was not helpful in any way. I feel she should have been honest and told me she had no experience with this type of behavioural issue and she shouldn't have wasted 3 hours of my time or taken $200 for doing absolutely nothing. on the plus side, she sells really good leashes :)

The space is light and airy which emphasizes the brightly colored leashes, dog apparel, and pet bedding. The owner, Dayandra Elrod, matched the shop perfectly. She's very helpful and knowledgeable about all things dog, seeming able to answer questions before they're fully asked. She's very aware of her inventory and can quickly make product suggestions and recommendations. She also follows a zero waste program, providing reusable glass containers to house premium pet food and offers dog training classes. Plus she's got some cute pups of her own in the shop, and they're sweet shopping companions! I popped in the store to get a souvenir chew toy for a friend's dog, but was also able to find a little toy for my cat as well! Great experience and I'll be sure to visit any time I'm in Vancouver!

Our french bulldog has some allergies. The Rex team are diligent and don't feed her anything, except for the food we bring. Seems simple, but not all daycares pay attention. The Rex facility is clean with lots of room for our Frenchie to play and rest. We love the Instagram posts and are sooo happy to have found Rex's. We trust our furbaby is having a safe and fun day when she is in Rex's care. When you decide to check it out be sure to take a look at their space dog beds.
