I took reviews of K9 Design to heart when finding my "child" a groomer. I couldn't have been more happy with my discovery of this fabulous group of groomers. My dog Jaxson loves baths and the heat of the hair dryer, so I knew he would love going to the groomers. As a Cavalier King Charles, they have a very specific coat and I was nervous as to how he would be groomed. Dylan made recommendations for his coat and the trim style. He does an AWESOME job. Dylan and the rest of the staff really care about dogs and customer satisfaction. Prices are very reasonable. They book up very quickly, so I would definitely recommend appointments in advance. They are kind enough to have a cancellation list if you need an appointment sooner. I know how dog owners are; they want the best for their pups. So let me just start by saying that I've never taken my seven year old rescue to the groomers because he's just a nervous dog and typically doesn't do well with strangers...or baths. I recently broke my foot and was unable to groom Bixby so I decided to give this place a shot. Right away they welcomed Bixby with open arms! I waited outside because it's a smaller establishment and I didn't want to set Bixby off in a confined space. A staff member noticed I was outside and came to check on us. Once the lobby cleared out we went inside and they took my dog in the back. They kept him for a few hours and when I went to pick him up they didn't want to give him back! Everyone fell in love with him and he definitely put on a show. They did a fantastic job setting a calm environment where Bixby could get pampered. I'm so appreciative that they listened to my concerns and took care of him. Since he's a Shepard mix bath, nails, and grooming cost $58. It's a little pricey but so worth it! read more

I'm only giving it a 3 star b/c it's the middle of the road for ratings so I consider it a neutral "no vote" just to add a comment. What is it with people not answering their phones? This is a company right...a company that depends on business from consumers, consumers with questions or needs of directions, if you don't answer your phone, you're too busy, you're not open, how do you expect to survive? Blows my mind with what businesses are doing nowadays. Tip one: Answer your phone. Tip two: hire someone to answer your phone. Tip three: you have to be open for business and cater to the consumer. My family has been following Tiffany for years because she is just so good. My mom still takes our family dogs there for grooming and nails and now that I'm grown I take my own dogs there as well. Tiffany and crew spoiled my dog more than I do! My pup had so much fun being loved and cuddled by Tiffany and her assistant Morgan. I know she will happily trot right in when it's time for our next appointment! I've had my dog less than a month, but she was a MESS going in! She's an English Cocker Spaniel that we rescued. The rescue organization shaved her belly to spay her, then shaved patches of fur to remove some bad matting. After we got her home, she was hospitalized and the "wrists" of all four paws were shaved for IV's. This girl was a hodgepodge of fur lengths and small matts. Tiffany cleaned her up, got every single matt out, and scissor trimmed her to blend in the shaved areas that are still growing out. It's been a few days and my girl still smells so good and is SO SOFT. Of the three times I bathed her myself, I could not get her this clean or soft. It's like she bathes these dogs in unicorn tears or something. We'll be back again & again, especially with Tiffany's very affordable prices. Plus it's so nice to park just a few feet from the door, in the private lot, and check your pup in in less time than you could park your car at a chaotic big pet store. read more

I've only been here once but I already know this will be my go-to place! I have a yorkie/cairn terrier mix with pretty long hair. This place deserves 5 stars not only for the excellent job they did on the grooming itself but for the wonderful customer service and for their very reasonable prices. After my last groomer went out of business it was difficult to find a place with decent prices, that actually does a good job, and where I would feel safe leaving my dog (I've read some horror story reviews about other grooming places on yelp). The staff was so friendly and upon my return to pick him up my dog seemed very comfortable and happy with them. This place surpassed all my expectations and have gained a loyal customer. Took my 16 y/o poodle and 11y/o Bischon to K9 yesterday for the first time. After my long time, former groomer, moved to FL several months ago, I'd been to 3 other groomers, giving each of them two attempts at meeting our needs. I then carefully searched the Internet knowing full well that reviews are not always authentic. When I left my furry kids at K9 I felt awesome (very unusual), and when I picked them up, OMG!! They looked beautiful. These people are beyond competent. They clearly adore all animals, including the needy or elderly, or otherwise quirky. It's so evident that they love what they do. Took my mini goldendoodle here last week. Have used them before but somethings changed. My poor dog was shaved down unevenly and her skin was cut like a razor burn in 2 places! Poor dog cried for 2 hours when ahe came home and it still isnt healed. Never going here again! Awful! read more

My Miniature Schnauzer, Briar, is ten years old and had been groomed regularly during that time in Arizona and now in Rhode Island. Being picky, I changed groomers a lot! This is the very best place of all of them. It is the only place that I have ever left her without being nervous. The friendliness of the staff is so refreshing. They truly are nice people. Briar will always be nervous at any groomer...(Mom! They gave me a bath!!), but she's actually less nervous than anywhere else. The cut they give her is beautifully done and exactly what I asked for. And for Thanksgiving she came home with little sparkles on! They are the only place that deserves your trust. I will never take her anywhere else. When I couldn't find my phone, Tiffany answered my emails promptly...after hours!...and searched her parking lot for it. When I got a new phone, I changed my number using their contact form which worked fine. When I hurt my back, they gladly rearranged my appointment so someone else could bring Briar in.
