The Pet Salon

The Pet Salon has been grooming our 3 dogs for about 5 years now. We have 2 Border Collies and 1…read moreHavernese. They are the best groomers on the Island bar, none and we have tried several others. We have found our dogs come home happy and playful which was not the case in the past. The girls are well experienced and know how our three breed specific dogs should look. We could not be happier with The Pet Salon and have recommend them to several of our friends and neighbors. Our sincere thanks go to all of the girls there and if we could choose more than 5 stars we would most surely rank them higher. Dr & Mrs Robert Cronin Middletown, R.I.

We figured we may get a call stating that he was too restless to groom, so we weren't surprised when we got a call. When we went to go pick him up we were told he was aggressive. I apologized profusely as he's never been aggressive before. I was told this was "not a fear based aggression", and that we need to get a trainer. I was so upset and embarrassed to hear this about my dog. When we got back to the car he was shaking, which I've never seen him do, and we noticed his back paws each had a nail that was torn off and bleeding. We have a trainer and I explained to her exactly what I was told and she assured me that my dog has never shown any signs of aggression with her, fear based or otherwise. Her professional opinion was that something triggered him and scared him and he was pushed too far. It felt as though they wrote him off as a bad dog and that was that. They were not even aware that he was bleeding when I called back later. I'm sure he did that himself by accident, but there was blood in our car and in our house, so it's concerning they didn't even notice.
