Absolutely horrible customer service! Walked in for a gel polish change with design. First issue was no one act like they understood what I was saying second issue the gentleman that they contacted to work on me, began to file the polish off of my nail before telling me the price after I declined the price and ask for him to repaint my nail. He then had an attitude they begin speaking a foreign language so I left. Due to time constraints I immediately returned because I needed the service I said and waited over 30 minutes. Three people came in after me and provided service to the other people when I inquired about when I was going to get serviced the same gentleman response by saying he doesn't know ask the other lady horrible service. One of the ladies was asleep the whole time. The lady that seem like the owner said nothing I would never recommend this location the pricing the service is trash. I used to visit this nail shop for a gel mani/pedi regularly over a year ago regularly until the service declined. Ex: inexperienced nail techs doing gel manicures and leaving bumps on nails and then blaming customers for "moving". Never in the 25 years of me getting mani pedis regularly have i ever "moved" or have been blamed for that. Fast forward to a recent trip to k nails in the hopes that things have improved since my last trip as i had moved to the area and was looking for a local nail salon. Once again, i was disappointed. The woman doing my gel manicure not only left bits of old nail polish, but also left spots if missing new nail polish around the sides of my nails. It was so bad that a new nail tech had to redo it, causing my nails be brittle. Also, the nail tech was continuously texting and on social media while fixing my nails! She wasn't really ready because she was filling my water while finishing another customers feet. She proceeds to go back in fourth between us "checking my water" she put her hands in without washing. If I could give this place a 0 star I simply would. They get 1 just because my color was nice. So for starters they charge absolutely way too much for gel. They don't tell you this until after your services have been completed. At that point you have no choice but to pay. My gel full set of nails which were not long at all costed me $50 & my basic pedicure with gel was $45. Smh. My full set "gel polish began to chip after 2 days & 2 of my nails broke within the first week. I am so disappointed in my services here. I'm from California & just relocated over here to GA. I can't even begin to explain what a bad experience this nail salon gave us... It was my boyfriend's first time ever having a mani-pedi and this shop has ruined them for him forever. I called at around 10-10:30 am and made an appointment for the both of us for 7pm. We showed up at 6:50 and were not taken back until 7:25... AND WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT. They were so overwhelmed, which is understandable, but that's why I called and made an appointment because salons get like this often. They did not honor our appointment AND they kept taking more clients when they didn't have the time to take care of us!?!? The girl finally put the cuticle cream (or whatever it is called), which is a chemical-based cream meant to break down your cuticles but she left my hands in this bag with these chemicals for 45 MINUTES. I WATCHED THE CLOCK. She finally came over and tried to do my nails but she would do just one step and then go help someone else? None of the nail techs took the time to do one girl's nails, they would prep mine then go prep another girls, and another... then come back to me and do a base coat, then do another girls and then another... etc, etc. Then... here is where it gets GROSS... she moved me to another spot with a dirty towel that STILL HAD ANOTHER WOMANS CLIPED NAIL REMAINS ON IT. I could not relax or touch this towel because that is just REPULSIVE. How are these women still in business?? This is SO DISGUSTING. The worst and most disrespectful nail salon I have ever been to. And if that wasn't bad enough, a few days later my hands were dry, cracking and painful because the woman left my hands sitting in chemicals for 45 MINUTES. This shop is simply UNACCEPTABLE and needs to be shut down by a health inspector of sort ASAP. read more

Brought my mom here for Mother's Day, my treat. They were open so that's a plus and the wait wasn't long at all. Customer service was okay. They were nice enough but not real smiley friendly if that makes sense. I guess because they get some many people a day they just get real dry. Service was great and my mom really enjoyed the mani pedi. I just waited and was on my phone. The only negative is that the chemical smell is really really strong. After a while it goes away but it's really your nose just getting use to it. It's not good for extended exposure. I think they should work on ventilation. read more

I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding tomorrow so had to beautify myself and get my nails done. Decided to go to K Nails because of the good reviews. They did not disappoint. Bao did my pedicure and gel manicure. Let me tell you, Bao got my life together! I only wanted the basic pedicure which at some nail salons really means basic (cut the nails, prep, polish, and done). Bao did all of that plus this hot towel moisturizing treatment on my legs. I felt so pampered. He did a great job with my gel manicure as well. Once he was done with my manicure, I was about to get up and he stopped me. I was confused until he started lotioning my arms down. Then he brought another hot towel for my arms. I felt blessed! The price was reasonable at $45. The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the wait was about 45 minutes. While waiting for my nail tech, just a quick glance around I could see nail clippings all over the floor near the pedicure chairs and the instruments and supplies did not look very clean either. My nail tech didn't try to carry on any small talk, which I'm ok with, and seemed very focused while doing the manicure. However the manicure ended up looking terrible. My experience at K.Nails was lackluster, I got a full set pink and white ombré with a pedicure I paid just under $80.00 for nails not including tip. that lasted a week. After a day my nails were lifting from the cuticle as well as the tips of my nails underneath. I went back 2 days later to see if they could be fixed, the technician claimed that the gel top coat used was causing the issue so she took it off and re applied NO, it was a poor quality nail job. The nail tech talked about me right in front of my face as if I couldn't understand her with a technician sitting beside her. This place is not worth the price at all. They didn't offer water or anything to drink, building is old and small. The guy with the half shaved honey blonde hair with tattoos did my nails and it was the worst manicure I ever gotten. He cut my skin around my nail that has never ever happened to me ever. I lived in 3 states went to plenty of nail shops this was one of the worst. I can't wash my hands with out my finger stinging. The lady who did my feet did Okay. She didn't wrap my feet in the hot towel she just placed in on my legs left it and then took it off. Very lazy when it came to massaging. $70 dollars definitely not worth it. My nail shape isn't even. I asked to get nails like the picture with white nails and this is what I got. It's dimly lit so you don't even really see that well until you walk outside with the light. K Nails is like this little hole in the wall shop. It was kind of sketch and I was a little antsy about going inside when I arrived. But it's safe. Moderate noise. And clean! After reading reviews for pedicure services, I requested Mimi. She did in fact provide awesome service. She's funny, she works quickly, but a little too quickly. Her advice to me was come during the week so she could dedicate more time. Not sure I agree with that since I pay like everybody else... but whatever. Cool lol. She is very precise with her pedicures. And for $35 I would hope so. So that is something I value because most people will mess up and keep going. She has a large client base so she's in and out, no time to spare. But I am extremely satisfied with the results. I also had an ingrown toenail that she removed gently and painlessly. It has taken 8 months, but I've finally found the best nail salon in Atlanta! Here is how I qualify a nail salon: 1. Clean and sanitary - This is obviously the most important requirement for a nail salon. People have died from infections acquired at nail salons, so it's important to be picky. K Nails uses new plastic liners for each client and sanitizes tools with an autoclave. 2. Gentle - This is my second biggest requirement. I HATE being cut with the cuticle clippers, and it happens often when the nail tech is distracted or rushed. Mai and Mimi helped me with my nails this afternoon and were extremely gentle. I had been struggling with an ingrown toenail, and Mimi was very thorough and gentle to help me fix it. 3. Do a good job - I get my nails done so that they look good and the polish lasts a long time. I hate when nail techs paint polish over cuticles and then clean up later with remover - it never lasts as long as when they just do a good job from the get-go. Personally, I don't care about wine, cocktails, massage, or frills. I care about sanitation, a solid polish, and and not getting cut. K Nails is 5/5. I'm so glad I found them, thanks to Yelp! I have been having the worst luck in finding a good nail salon in Atlanta that can make my nails all the same shape and look natural. I had been getting SNS at one salon off and on for the past year. Sometimes my nails were really good, but most of the time not. This last round with SNS was terrible and I had to find a new salon.
