All I wanted was a simple manicure for my birthday. Due to the current pandemic, what was once was simple $10 luxury is now almost $20 but that didn't stop me. While they have implemented many sanitizing steps and other efforts to stop the spread of any germs, their customer service is absolute trash. My nail technician was not painting my nails evenly, the nail polish he was using was quite clumpy and when I pointed this out he simply put some acetone in the polish and kept painting. When I stopped and asked for a different white polish, he got one and proceeded to try and keep painting over the the clumpy mess!!! When I pointed out how there were some jagged clumps at the edge of a few nails he had the audacity to say it was my nail that was sticking out ( you know the nail that he was supposed have filed already?). When I asked him to start over, he roughly and haphazardly removed the polish, which I had to remove fully because "I'm going to paint over it, no big deal". I will never come back to this establishment if this is the kind of work they churn out. Also, if you don't enjoy doing manicures, do not offer them!!! read more

I got a full set the other day and when it pot on my reading glasses and noticed many nails weren't smooth, my real nail was poking out the sides of a few and the polish wasn't covering my nail sides or base well. When I went back to have it fixed, a worker told me I was too picky, then I was made to wait until everyone else was taken care of and gone, for them to tell me that it was okay and they tried to just paint over the uneven powder without filing. Overall good prices and job well done. I didn't like how my friend and I were opposite sides of the room. One of the workers was eating sitting next to me. Not the end of the world but it was weird. The lady I had did a great job but didn't talk to me at all. For me getting my nails done with a friend is a social experience. I enjoy talking with the employee. Love coming to this nail salon. I've been here about 10 times already and have not had a bad experience. It's normally very packed because it's tough to find a good nail salon in the area. Prices are great. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because even when you make an appointment in advance, you end up waiting a while. The first time I went it was great! The second time however.. I was getting a new set and the girl was sitting on her phone watching YouTube while waiting for my nails to finish soaking. She was very rough filing and left the skin around my fingers feeling sore. She would pause filing to watch her video multiple times. I guess she had an appointment overlap because she was going back and forth between me and someone who'd just walked in for a pedicure. She did a slap dash job of my gel polish getting it on my skin. Only for it to chip two days later. (Anyone who's had gel knows it lasts weeks and weeks) I've gotten gel from this place before and it's lasted four weeks with no chips. She didn't cut my natural nail short enough, so you could see them under the acrylic. I called the manager Julie the next day and she fixed it the best she could by trying to drill underneath the acrylic to file down my nail. Didn't take a lot off but I imagine it's hard with the glue. Two days later it's chipped. Three days later I have two nails with ugly chipped polish. If I'm spending 50 dollars on a full set I expect a decent set. This however was not there were still pieces of filed acrylic nail that she didn't take off. Sucks because it's so close to home but I won't be going to this place again. read more

Came here once, don't think I'll be back. First of all, this salon has absolutely no ventilation system so be prepared to indulge strong smell of acetone, nail polish, acrylic and other chemicals. To add insult to injury, they also don't have a suction system on their tables, so all of the acrylic dust flys right in your face when they file your nails. I had a young lady do my nails (didn't catch her name), she barely understood what I was trying to tell her that I wanted. To make this review short, she put on a color and a design, than took me for a color change on my toes and my eyebrows waxed, all in all it was over 30 minutes for my nails to dry on their own. I've requested gel top coat (get it done in other salons all the time), she put it on. When it came time to pay, I've noticed that the nail polish crumbled on my nails, I pressed on it and it left a dent. Clearly, the nail Polish was too thick and possibly very old! I showed it to what appeared to be the owner, who said "oh it's not dry, you should have dried the nail polish for 30 mins before putting gel" (ummm ok! It was over 30 mins that I dried them) and than she proceeded to nag at me and then had a nerve to ask me if I wanted to fix ... Which pissed me off and I started to press on all of my nails, INCLUDING TOES, and what do you know the nail polish came off all of them! The lady took me back and redone my nails with such an attitude that I didn't even want to leave her the $10 tip I had ready for her, she rushed through and my nails looked horrible never the less. The last 3 times I had gotten my nails done at K, the techs were on their cell phones the whole time I was there, until the time I walked out. I think this is very rude. Not paying attention, cutting my cuticles to deep and hard until they bled, and were sore for weeks. I get the gel mani, which is suppose to last 2 weeks, if I get 1 week, I am lucky. If I didn't have to give this salon a star at all I wouldn't. I was SO incredibly disappointed with my nails today. I have had acrylic nails on for a little over 5 years and never had an issue with getting a fill. Walking into K-Nails was at first a horrible sight as I came early in the morning when everyone had just gotten to work. I had to wait 15 minutes as the lady finished her breakfast before she came over to great me. Her English was very poor and she didn't communicate with me at all. I explained that I would like my nails shorter and rounded which she ignored and instead left the length and made them square and crooked. I usually get a French airbrushed since they didn't have an airbrush I decided to have my nails painted black with a design. I was told that they didn't have black nail polish and told to pick another color. I decided to get the French hand painted. Not only did my French look crooked she said that a clear gel top wasn't possible and that drying it is the same. I explained I worked in the restaurant business and wanted a gel overcoat. She refused and walked away. I wish I would have caught her name and went back at a different time I wasn't in a rush to speak with the owner. All in all it was a horrible experience and I will NEVER step foot in K-Nails again and would NEVER recommend this nail salon to anyone, not even my worst enemy. 0 stars K-Nails huge disappointment. read more

Totally unprofessional. Smudged one of my nails and they only took polish off the smudged part...not the whole nail and painted to fill in spot so the nail looked like an uneven clumpy mess. The color was very light so I polightly asked someone if I could have another coat added as you could see through to the natural nail. The techs Started speaking not English and came back and nastily said "well she said she already did 4 coats". She absolutely did not do 4 coats. I was made to feel like an idiot and uncomfortable that they were obviously talking about me. Very rude. Manicure chipped within 1 day of getting it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON read more
