I've been dealing with this company for at least forty years and they have never let me down. If…read moreyou are a contractor the services they offer you are beyond compare. The education center led by Kevin Meskill keeps all of us up to date on code changes and more. The products cost a little more but the quality is there. Yesterday I needed 24 4x4x8s, you just grabbed from the pile and the quality was there. I recently went to a big box store and after spending fifteen minutes picking and choosing I still had to compromise. Great company led by a great staff.

I still feel like I get a bargain because the sales people know their stuff more than any others I have met over the 37 years I have owned homes (that have needed lots of work!) -- and they care enough to share their knowledge, stating confidently the best product choice or guiding us through the pros and cons of various product options!! Over the years, the knowledgable and kind sales team has rescued me from numerous close calls, wrong decisions that could have really cost me. Rob (the manager) tops the list with knowing the right product for the application, sharing even the smallest details that contribute to the best result. Dave helped advise about doors/windows,trims, etc., and recently, Rich, the paint department manager, saved the day when a couple of painters proposed sanding our cedar shake shingles as part of stain prep and Rich correctly said never to do that, it would remove the shakes' texture and its natural beauty. They view their jobs as essential purveyors of knowledge to the customer, not just to make sales. How lucky we are in CT to have this tremendous resource!

I went with Terra because they were slightly cheaper than other dumpster companies in the area. I…read morewas doing a demo project (tearing down a shed) with no experience and decided to order 2 30 yard dumpsters to be safe. Doug only brought one and said he could bring more if I need it at any time (this was a Saturday). I called up to request another one and when he came back he said I didn't need it and was able to munch the debris down himself to fit the rest. Amazing to find a company that could easily made a few hundred dollars more and decided to help me out instead.

Company claimed they would pick up dumpster on a Friday but instead came on Thursday morning…read more This cost me over $1400 because I had hired a construction crew for demo work on Thursday but now there NO was dumpster to put the trash. 2. Everything was put in writing via texts. I had only spoken with the secretary in the course of 2 months. But when I called to complain, the told me that they came to pick it up early because they needed to rent it to someone else! Double billing! The owner later called and tried to claim that I had called him directly and asked for a change of pick-up dates which was a insane complete lie. Owner even tried to claim that my Forman said it was ok to remove the dumpster. Again, a complete bald faced lie. 3. The website claims that they offer discounts for good, working used plumbing fixtures, mechanicals like refrigerators and clean wood for recycling. Complete lie! They claimed they did not know what the website claimed and would not honor any company policy posted on their website. Completely unprofessional and lies. Exhausting!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO HOME DEPOT INSTEAD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!…read moreI thought this was a good place to shop based on the reviews, but unfortunately, that has not been our experience. The communication at this location is truly horrible. We purchased baggers for our lawn mower, but they were not installed properly. We explained that the grass was not going all the way into the baggers and was getting stuck in the tube. We even showed them pictures and videos demonstrating that the lawn mower was not functioning properly with the baggers installed. They told us they could order a new belt and spring to fix the issue. We waited three weeks or more without receiving a phone call. Eventually, we called them and discovered that the parts had been at the store for about a week. Apparently, they had sent us a text message, but we never received it. If a customer is waiting for important parts and does not respond to a text, wouldn't it make sense to follow up with a phone call? When I went to pick up the parts, I asked whether we could return the baggers. They told us no because the purchase was financed, and they accused us of tampering with the equipment, which we did not do. He got defensive because he was the one that installed it incorrectly. He should not be installing baggers at all. At that point, we replaced the belt and spring, but even after changing those parts, the baggers still did not work properly. I ended up calling again and asking for RJ and was put on hold for 30 mins and then the call dropped. I called again saying the same thing and was told RJ wasn't there. So why was i on hold for 30 mins if he wasn't there???. After calling again later on their next suggestion was to remove the baggers, charging us $50 for pickup and another $50 for drop-off. To make matters worse, they suggested that we sell the baggers on Facebook Marketplace. We purchased these baggers this year, and they are brand new, from when we first received the baggers with the lawnmower it hasn't been working properly. We should not be experiencing these kinds of issues with a new product. We went back and forth with them, asking whether there were any other options, but they told us there was nothing else they could do. I then contacted the company directly, and they told me they could inspect the lawn mower. Interesting, because we were previously told that there were no other options! The company also informed us that, upon receiving the baggers, we had 90 days to return them if we were not satisfied. Unfortunately, that return window has now closed, and we were never informed of this policy by the store. The company offered to inspect that we accepted but after some thoughts we declined due to it being the same store picking up the lawnmower. We wanted absolutely nothing to do with them after asking numerous amount of time if there was any other option. Moving foward we went to a different company that was willing to assist us in the matter and didn't advice us to sell on facebook market. Based on our experience, it feels as though they are more interested in selling a lawn mower than providing proper customer service afterward.
