Not only do they offer competitive prices and have excellent customer reviews, but they are locally owned by Steve O'Keefe. I also appreciated their old-fashioned customer service over the phone. Before I hired the company, Steve, along with manager Manuel Amarillo, were very generous with their time and provided me with a variety of products and quotes. In fact, the "leading brand" window company that I had previously conducted business with now "requires" two homeowners for a window quote. Really? What a demeaning tactic. Anyway, I made the right decision by hiring Window Depot. From start to finish, Manny communicated with me every step of the way and showed up at the exact time promised and handled the job efficiently with a smile on his face. The team also includes Louis, Jeffrey and Pedro. EVERYONE on the team is friendly, professional, honest and accommodating in every way. Window Depot's windows are USA-made, energy-efficient and come in a variety of timeless styles and designs. Interestingly, after a relatively long wait, the factory delivered a defective window, but it was replaced almost immediately by the factory. They really are a five-star company. (I removed a half of a star because we had a garbage pickup issue that was finally resolved!) This has been one of the worst experiences we've had with a service since moving to Naugatuck and buying our first home. We were installing a heat pump shortly after moving in and had Home Doctor do our energy assessment to qualify for a rebate. That was in December... after multiple requests, we still have yet to receive our assessment for our own records. We luckily got their signature on the rebate form while at our home, otherwise we probably never would have gotten the rebate to go through either. Before we knew better than to stay away, in February they called us soliciting services to install insulation in our crawl space attic. They claimed that based on the size of the space and what we would need, we qualified for a rebate that would cover the entire cost. They claimed we just needed to pay the deposit (50% of the total cost) and it would be refunded to us after the rebate processed. Here we are 5 months later with no refund in sight. We've called countless times in the past couple months with no resolution. Literally no one ever answers their phone during their business hours... and no one has called me back from the last 7 voicemails I've left. We were not in any real need of installing this insulation at the time they solicited their services. Our home felt fine...if they had ever given us our energy assessment, maybe insulation would have been a to do list item in the future. But in February we had literally just found out we were pregnant. This money was earmarked for other more pressing things to prepare for baby. We only did the insulation because it was supposed to be free... Who wouldn't if it's free? What a scam! Go somewhere else!
