After first having Renewal By Anderson come out and give us their astronomical cost estimate we then had Joe Capello come the next day to give us WindowRama's estimate. Joe was extremely detailed in discussing how WindowRama would have to treat the job as new construction, and Joe proceeded to explain exactly how the new windows would be installed. WindowRama's price for the same Anderson 100 series was half of the Renewal By Anderson price. We signed the contract that night. From there, the amiable, knowledgable and always-available company rep Jason Timm took over and made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. The installation team, led by Andre and sons, was great, they knew what they were doing and cut out the 35 yr-old steel windows and replaced them with the Andersons. 14 windows took almost five full days but their workmanship was not to be rushed. Full replacement of the interior sills and trim was necessary because the old was removed completely. It was on us, the customer, to do the finishing work (fill nail holes, painting) but it was easy enough to do and the finished product is beautiful. We also pre-painted the outdoor wood trim to match our ship-lap wooden siding; WindowRama provided the trim in advance of the job, so we were able to have it primed and stained ahead of the job start. In a short amount of time we have received many compliments on our beautiful new windows. Big thank yous to Joe Capello, Jason Timm, Andre and the installation team and Linda in the office.
