I've scoured Google and Yelp for a few days and decided that I absolutely wanted to go with him because he had all good reviews, shows his cuts and styles on Instagram, and is booked for months out. Because of this, it's best to schedule a haircut online with him -- you'll be able to find last-minute openings. John is patient, knowledgeable, and kind. He's there to give you a haircut, but he's also there to spread some knowledge. He showed me how he was cutting my hair and why he was doing it. His consultation was also very helpful, especially because I didn't know anything about hair and how to style it. I wanted to change the way my hair looked in both style and color, and John was there to give feedback and what he thought was in my best interest. I felt like he should have charged for his consultation because he spent a GOOD amount of time providing advice and feedback, time that's worth money, especially when I was his last client for the day and it was getting late. Because he didn't charge extra for consultation, I provided a good tip. What I wish beforehand, which isn't really John's fault, is how to enter the building. It was late, so the door was locked -- luckily, there was someone who let me in. If you ever encounter this situation, just text John and he'll come open the door for you! Overall, I believe I am a permanent client of John's. My husband loves my hair and believes that John did a really good job, especially for the price you're paying. I highly recommend John!

The salon is a great size - plenty of longtime stylists, plus newer ones who take walk-ins daily. If you prefer a more senior stylist, just call ahead and book an appointment. One thing I love: the place is always hopping. I've never seen it slow. Constant energy and a full house tell me they've earned a loyal following. The whole team is warm and welcoming, especially Missy and Shayna at the front desk. Those two are scheduling wizards. Somehow Sheila juggles two or three clients at once, and it runs smoothly because the front desk nails the timing every time. I usually get haircuts, highlights, and conditioning treatments. They also do beautiful eyebrow work, and almost every visit I see someone getting extensions that look amazing. Prices are very reasonable - not the cheapest, but absolutely fair for the quality.
