K Bop Box deserves credit for bringing good different food to Apollo Beach. We've ordered several dinner and one lunch carryout. We like the pork & beef fried dumplings much more than the heavily breaded chicken wings. The beef bulgogi is incredible, but the spicy pork was too fatty and tough. The entrees include a bento box style of multiple sides, which makes a good value. Already I hear folks labeling it as expensive. The location is the proverbial hole in the wall, in a very old shopping center. Parking near the door is a challenge. Most spots seem to be taken by the same cars at each visit. Orders have never been ready when they've included chicken wings. It's been hard to place orders over the phone. If the lady in the store stays on speaker phone, it's very hard to hear her. I must tell her several times I can't hear her so she will pick up the phone. I've also discovered that even though I had ordered at lunch time, I did not receive the lunch price nor the included fountain drink. Menu misspellings such as meet rather than meat and on-line malfunctions that cover most entrees with a reservation box that is not used. Prices on the menu have increased recently which fixed some stupid pricing. The last time I ordered, 2 orders of 4 chicken wings were slightly cheaper than 1 order of 8 chicken wings. read more

There's not many places that have Korean food in the area. The BEST Kim-bop that I've had since moving out here. It's always made fresh and all the flavors together create something so delicious to the bite. Absolutely my favorite and go to place whenever I am craving some Kim-bop. Small clean place. I ordered the spick pork lunchbox with a veggie kimpop. The amount of pork they give you in my opinion is small. they should give more if your going to charge $16.99 for a lunchbox. The veggie kimpop was $6.99. Overall the food taste good. The owner was very nice, she said this restaurant has been in Apollo Beach, FL for 6 months. It is a nice spot, small but cozy. The yakimundu was real good. The Dolsot bibimbop was in a hot stone bowl. All of the food was fresh and hot. The kimchi was ok but they were out of the cucumbers which we would have liked to have tried. The bulgogi was missing the green onions which we normally get at other Korean restaurants to include it did not have the sweet soy sauce and ginger taste that we are used to. Your life will be changed when you try the quality in the food at K Bop Box. I've never quite had any Korean food like it, ever! I was very happy to see they had several vegetarian options. I tried the Veggie Dumpling Ramyun soup which is a savory noodle dish with curvy ramen soup style noodles. The flavorful complexity of the noodle dish's profile was unlike anything I've ever experienced in my life and I was so pleased with the innovation of the cheese add-on I requested. The veggie kimbop (think Korean sushi roll) was so tasty and fresh. I appreciated how the owner gave me a garlicky gochujang sauce to pour over the kimbop. I'm a sauce person when it comes to enhancing dishes and the bibimbop sauce, as she called it, made the kimbop exponentially better! To finish off the unforgettable experience, I tried their Ho Ttuck dessert. Imagine the Cinnabon company originated in Korea and this is exactly what you'll get! The Ho Ttuck looks like a Venezuelan arepa and inside it has a blend of cinnamon brown sugar paste. Adding walnuts is optional and highly recommended! I paired my kimbop and ramyun soup with an off-dry Italian Pinot Grigio. The refreshing quality of the northern Italy Pinot Grigio I had, gave a refreshing balance to the food and drink pairing. I tried the Ho Ttuck with a vanilla cinnamon Chickpea mylk I had chilling in the fridge and was very happy with that pairing as well. I can definitely see the Ho Ttuck being topped off with your favorite ice cream at home. Now a days, i go out to eat a lot but not reviewing businesses necessarily, just being lazy. I found this restaurant by chance and I'm so happy I did. The restaurant is very clean , the environment is extremely welcoming , and the staff greeted me with a smile. The food was amazing! Extremely flavorful I ordered the spicy pork lunch box as well as the spicy chicken lunch box and the spicy beef bulgogi kimbap. At first I didn't think it was spicy but over time the more I ate I felt it! The spicyness didn't overpower the food at all! It was the perfect balance. The lunch box option was the perfect amount. I didn't finish it all in one sitting I had to take some home! As for drinks definitely try the sparkling watermelon soda. It's very good!
