I remember looking for a Korean place to eat since we were in the area, and we found K-BOB. The restaurant itself is a cute little mom and pop; however, there isn't a lot of seating inside since the space is small. There's a kiosk to order from their menu, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I really like their onigiri and japchae whenever we're nearby. I highly recommend coming here!
I ordered the bibimbop and also three kimbap (original and 2 vegetarian). Everything is freshly made. Easy to order on the machine and I only waited a few minutes on a Saturday night for my order. Extremely friendly there. There are picnic tables to eat outside or you can grab it to go. Food was tasty and will go back again for my takeout.
I've not been here for a while and one thing impressed me the most was the server, a teenager who speaks both English and Korean. I ordered the bipmimbab, the portion was huge but I didn't like the beef, it was mince instead of slices. The server was very attentive and I saw him patiently answering customers questions about the food and he kept checking on them if they have allergies. Before we walked out of the restaurant, he bowed straight 90 degrees and said Thank you!!!
What a cute little mom and pop gimbap shop. We popped in here for a quick bite to eat after doing some shopping at the Sports Basement in the same plaza since we were craving Korean food. The young man at the front was super helpful in giving us some recommendations on what was vegetarian and what could be adjusted to be vegetarian. He was super informative. We wound up getting a vegetarian bibimbap, vegetarian gimbap, and one original flavor. Food came out super quick and you could tell from the crispness of the veggies that everything was super fresh. We loved the refreshing flavors and the huge portions. If we are in the area again we will be back!
I've been ordering here for lunch a couple times, and decided to try their platter for a party. The woman in the front is always so kind, and the food is always ready on time when I order ahead. Would definitely recommend, their kimbap is beautiful and delicious (especially with the wasabi mayo sauce it comes with) and the ratio of filling to rice is incredibly generous. I've also tried their triangles and they're delicious as well, and convenient for a quick snack or meal.
This small restaurant was the perfect place for a casual lunch. It's located in the same area as the Sports Basement. Parking is very easy in the shared lot. They have some indoor and outdoor seating, but it's probably better as a takeout spot. Ordering is through a panel on the left side once you enter. Food takes a little while to get to you, but it is all made fresh. I got the Bibim Bob ($19). This came beautifully plated, and all of the veggies were cut to exactly the right size. The flavors were pretty well balanced, not too sweet, not too salty, and not too spicy. Portion size was pretty good and I had a little bit to take home. Note: the bottom is not crunchy rice. DH got the Hwae Dup Bob ($22) and really enjoyed it too. This dish is basically like poke on top of a bunch of salad greens and various finally shredded vegetables. It is eaten with a delicious Korean chili sauce. There is an option to order it with salmon only instead of mixed fish. I wished this had slightly more seasoning, like maybe a bit of sesame oil and raw garlic to give it some zing. Miso soup was included in these two orders, and it was excellent. Served hot and nice strong flavors. The people we interacted with were very friendly and nice. We would love to go back someday to try some of their Kim Bob, Korean rice rolls.
The kimbap here is generously portioned. I ordered the spicy beef one and loved that the filling was equally balanced with meat, burdock root, carrots, and egg. Knocked a star off since I was expecting it to have a spicy kick, but the kimbap itself was a bit on the sweet side. I would've loved more dipping sauce options since I was not a fan of the mayo-heavy wasabi one that was given. Overall, a solid spot and I'll be back again!
Absolutely delicious! So fresh and healthy. LIsa, the owner/manager?, was so sweet and lovely. We placed a catering order the day before. The platter was GORGEOUS! My office very much enjoyed for lunch! They were wrapped so delicately. So affordable to order the tray for 4 people to share. Thank you!!!
I still come here for lunch. I still love their food. I still love the lady that works there, and more i love that they grow their own peppers which you can see in the front.
Quick, casual, and inexpensive. You can order online and eat in person if you change your mind about wanting to take it to go. The service here is great, the staff are all very kind. The kimbap rolls are THICK and the wasabi mayo it comes with compliments it very well. I would definitely return in the future for a quick bite.

Also a couple outdoor tables to use on a nice day. Kiosk for ordering food was very user friendly. Service was friendly and fast.

There are also tables outside as well! My friend and I tried the LOR and beef kimbap. Both were tasty but my favorite was the LOR. The beef kimbap was more on the dry side :( I've also tried the triangles and it was yummy! Would definitely come back to try the other kimbaps and yubus! Staff is very friendly too
K-Bob is easily five stars. If you want solid Korean food that feels like an experience, you have to visit K-Bob. The restaurant has a fast-food-style setup that honestly reminded me of somewhere you'd grab a quick meal in Seoul. You order from a kiosk, and there's really only one person you interact with when your food is delivered to the table. It's casual, efficient, and very easy. And the portions are HUGE. K-Bob somehow combines an Asian/Korean-style atmosphere with very American-sized portions. They also have Korean sodas, which was a fun addition. I highly recommend the grape soda. It tastes like carbonated grape juice, and it's delicious. If you're looking for Korean food that's casual, filling, and a little different from the typical sit-down restaurant experience, K-Bob is absolutely worth a visit. read more
I went to Sports Basement and noticed this cute little mom and pop restaurant. I decided to try a tuna kimbap and it was really good! Packed with veggies and super fresh. The kimbap was huge and somehow stayed together in a roll nicely. It was refreshing to eat on a hot day. Service was fast and kimbap was packaged to go with care. Wow what a hidden gem! I found this small tiny store through DoorDash. Ordered ahead and the triangles were ready! I got three fried shrimps triangles. They were SO good: flavorful, not too salty, mixed well with imitation crab salad inside and tasted just right. Will come again and try other items! read more

I love K-BOB! I've been twice and will probably be back again soon. They have an assortment of kimbap rolls, yubu chobap, and triangle kimbap. We've tried some of each and enjoyed them all. I love how they stuff their rolls and the ratio of rice to filling is perfect. They're also arranged and rolled so precisely which makes for a pretty cross section. It's a small shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were friendly and offered cold water to everyone. I will definitely be back to support! read more
I can see that they put extra effort in each ingredients, fresh and well presented. I'm obsessed with their Bibimbap - their portion was huge and I literally devoured it in 20 min! Bulgogi beef was marinated with their house made special sauce and it comes with a plenty of vegetables to balance out your nutrition. I tried my husband's fish over rice - spicy, savory, slightly sweet, and crunchy. It's a Korean twist of Japanese fish over rice, which I think is a healthier alternative to poke (lower in fat and more dietary fiber). Plus they come with a small bowl of miso soup! read more

First time trying K-Bob and it was delicious! It came out very fast after ordering and it was very fresh tasting. Service was great and the food has great presentation. Had a nice ambiance, overall clean. We will absolutely come back! read more

Our group decided to try out K-BOB after hiking around Dublin/San Ramon area and it was a fantastic post-hike lunch! It's just so conveniently located in the plaza with Sports Basement too, so we hit up Sports Basement right after. There's plenty of parking available. There's tables available both indoor and outdoors, and you're free to sit wherever you wish as long as it's open. It was our first time here and the employee who helped us out had a whole bunch of great recommendations. His enthusiasm played a major part in our food choices. Between three of us, we shared 1) Spicy Beef Kim-Bob, 2) Edamame, 3) 2 Yubu Sets, and 4) Fried Shrimp Triangle. The Yubu Sets come with a free side of Miso soup as long as you order 4 or more pieces. Food came quickly, and I think because they're a small local restaurant with few workers, most of their utensils and stuff were the one-time use disposable items. The guy that took our order and served us provided great service and commentary though! The Spicy Beef Kim-Bob turned out not that spicy at all, but I love how much ingredients they packed into the roll. Ratio between ingredients and rice is fantastic (at least the way I like it, haha). They packed and rolled up the kimbaps pretty tightly so that even when we're eating it, it didn't fall apart. The Yubu set, in my humble opinion, was the best though. I love inari, but I love it even more when it's packed with goods and I have not had some that were packed so well! My partner and I shared the Beef, Caterpillar, Spicy Crunchy, and Salmon. Of the four, I would have to say I liked Caterpillar the most, probably because of the creaminess from the avocado and the tobiko adds a bit of a fun element to it. My partner really liked the Beef Yubu though. It's flavored well and satisfying. As for the edamame, not much I can say about it other than it's cooked perfectly. Not too soft and still had a tad crunchiness to it! Lastly, the Fried Shrimp Triangle. I don't think we were gonna get one intially, but the worker recommended it and my partner really wanted to give it a try while we were here. I have to say, whoever is the chef behind making these, they're great. The Triangle was packed tight so it held together well, and they even put it in the little onigiri plastic wraps so you can open it like one! The shrimp paste inside was indeed crispy like the worker described. I'm glad I took a bite out of it even though I didn't really want it in the first place. Our friends really enjoyed their meal as well! I definitely recommend this place for people looking for something satisfying and if they're pressed for time, this is a great option as well. I'd probably opt to get takeout here sometime as well since the food here is pretty takeout-friendly! read more
Yumm! Ask for an extra sauce. I have never tried these rolls before. They were tasty with well balanced macros. They had spicy beef, carrots, cucumber, egg, and pickled veggies all wrapped into rice and seaweed. There was a slightly sweet flavor, almost like bulgogi. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. If you like Korean and Japanese food, you will enjoy these. Very kind service and casual, well kept interior. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Best kimbap in the east bay! This mom and pop shop has delicious kimbap that are so filled and have super fresh ingredients. The king roll is delicious and so filling! Service is friendly and I recommend ordering ahead online if you're picking up. The interior is small but clean and there are tables outside too. I'll definitely be back! read more

Got two kimbab to go. Because a friend does not like spicy food so I opted for non-spicy kimbab. The beef one was simple but delicious. It had a green sauce to pair and worked out nicely. The other kimbab was the LOR (lord of the rolls) as it had salmon, imitation crab meat, fried shrimp and avocado. It sounded great but in reality, it was too much going on for me. Still tasted great but I'd prefer the beef kimbab. The simplicity of the beef kimbab was just unmatched. There were some "triangles" on the menu, but I was not very interested. I want to go back and try other kimbab though. read more

A hidden gem in San Ramon! I was craving kimbap and didn't think a place has surprised me like this in a while. I've ordered to-go as well as dined in and I would say ordering ahead of time is the way to go - if you find a seat inside, you can always sit down after picking up your food. The inside is small and the wait can be a bit long because everything is made to order. What I've ordered and recommend: - Beef & Spicy Beef Kimbap - Tuna (a surprising favorite!) Kimbap - Crunchy Kimbap - LOR Kimbap - Caterpillar Yubu - Spicy/Crunchy Yubu - Salmon Yubu All the kimbaps and yubus were S T U F F E D. Very well made and such a good rice to filling ratio. The lady taking orders was super nice. I would say that these kimbaps are on the pricier end BUT they do have a lot of filling! read more

As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the person at the register. He was very friendly and asked if it was my first time there. It was. He gave me suggestions on what to order. I ended up ordering the Korean Roll: "K7_LOR (LORD of the Roll)." It was good! Generous portion. I couldn't finish it all and took home the leftovers. It came with two sauces - Wasabi Mayo, and Unagi Sauce. Both sauces were good, but I preferred the Unagi Sauce more. I would come back and try other things on the menu. read more
We saw this place on a Yelp advertisement about outdoor seating. Being close to us, we had to try K-Bob out. The restaurant was a nice find. It's a small business that may be family run.! The staff was helpful and accommodated our requests. The Poke over rice was excellent. The staff upgraded the salmon with Ahi for a small fee. The Pole has a large ingredient list that contains: Imitation crab meat, cucumber, seaweed salad, corn, avocado, edamame, green beans, spring mix, lettuce and tobico. We also liked the Kim-Bon that contains: original Ham, imitation crab meat, egg, burdock, cucumber, carrot and pickled radish. Presentation and taste was excellent. Orders are taken via Kiosk or in person. They have a nice online order process for takeout that I found by clicking on the QR code. I started ordering from QR code until we found out it said "takeout". They might consider putting QR codes on the table with a number:-) Presentation was interesting: it came wrapped in nice cellophane without a plate. The staff told us they made all items at the restaurant. Food is prepared and wrapped for the day. All food was presented on disposable plastic and paper possibly to minimize dish washing cost and space. We strongly recommend you give K-Bob a try. read more

Came here on a Monday for lunch take-out. It's a small shop with limited seating, but I think most people take away anyway. There's a touch screen to order from, which is nice because it has pictures. We ordered the original kimbap, which came with a delicious sauce. The size of each roll slice is huge, and I appreciate how much veg there is inside to give a nice crunch. The onigiri were also very flavorful. We got the spicy beef, fried shrimp, and spicy tuna triangles. The meal came out fairly quickly, and the auntie working the shop was very kind! All in all a delicious meal. Will definitely be back to try more from their menu! read more
GET YOUR KIMBAP FIX HERE! Small little shop nestled in the plaza. Cute, and clean. Ordering was through the kiosk. Was easy to maneuver through and omit ingredients on there. Ordered 2 beef kimbaps - $28. A little pricey. Kimbap came out beautifully wrapped and fully loaded. Taste was pretty good. Some might say more rice needed, but also makes a good keto meal. A little tricky to eat since it was so big. It's either stuff the whole in your mouth or bite it and be messy. Have it your way. Overall, good kimbap. Service was minimal but sweet, kind and respectful. Will def come back. read more
I was in the area and feeling hungry, so I checked Yelp to see what was nearby and came across this spot. I decided to try the bibimbap, and it did not disappoint! It came with a generous portion of beef, fresh veggies, and a flavorful sauce that tied everything together perfectly. I also ordered the LOR and Spicy Crunchy kimbab to go for my hubby, and he loved them. They didn't skimp on ingredients, and the rolls had a perfect balance of flavors that made them delicious. I also appreciated how thoughtfully they packed the sauces in separate containers inside a small plastic bag. I'm so glad I found this gem and will definitely be back whenever I'm craving KBob! read more

This gimbap is top notch! Veggies chopped so thin. Lots of filling. Sesame oil on point. Rice cooked perfectly. Crisp nori. And the sauce. Don't even get me started on the sauce. Drool! Besides the delicious food, the staff was so friendly and sweet. You can tell that this food is made with love! So good. read more
We've tried many of their dishes and items here. It is all very tasty. My husband absolutely loves this place and could probably eat here every day. Their bibim bob is so 'ono. I say that it's pretty much banchans over rice. Their yubu is good too. The only downside is that their hours are somewhat limited. We went there on Friday at 10:35 am thinking they open at 11 am. We walked around Sports Basement and went to Learning Express to "kill time". When we returned at 11:10; they were still closed. We didn't realize that they open at 11:30. The hubz had to go to work so we drove across the street and ate at Papaya Grill instead. Also, they close for a couple of hours between lunch and dinner too. I'm glad that there is a Korean restaurant in San Ramon, so we'll continue to support this mom and pop business. read more
