This is the best AYCE Korean BBQ joint in west Island and I believe the only one! It has a beautiful rustic charm it looks like a beautiful chalet and as soon as you walk in it feels very cosy and homey! We came in without a reservation and they made us feel welcome! We got checked in and vetted with all the covid rules (vax pass and sanitizer first) and got seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive and very sweet. She showed us how to order online with our phones. Very interesting system ! I loved how the food is brought to us by a baby elevator .. I guess the kitchen is in a different level! Food: They brought out some starters that tasted delicious I was so impressed with the cucumber starter dish so yummy with a kick to it. We got kimchi , marinated onions and then the Chop suey was delish too ! Every dish had awesome flavours. We went ahead and ordered different meats and shrimp. My all time favourite was the ox tongue soo good The grill was getting dirty as we were cooking so much on it she changed it for us that was nice as well. There's a lot of variety to choose from and it is all you can eat so you may order as much as you want but if you leave anything on the plate they charge you 1$ extra so be careful when you order too much hihi. Was in the mood for some Korean bbq. I always drove by their place and decided tonight to give them a try. There is ample parking as they have there own parking lot and there is also a bus stop a few meters down the street. The restaurant is a small quite place and has about 15 tables insides. The menu is down all online as well as the ordering process. The staff was friendly and was able to explain everything properly. We stated off with some vegetable that we grilled. The vegetables were raw and unseasoned. We had the following vegetables. Onions and zucchini and mushrooms. We grilled them and we had to dip them in the sauces to add flavor. For the meats. Short ribs were extremely fatty and chewy and the seasoning was bland. Short ribs on no bone Was very fatty and chewy and the way it was cut was like it was cut by hand not even made it hard to grill. Ox tongue Had same seasoning as the short ribs. Not much flavor in the sauce. It was ok nothing special. Pork belly Was cut so small made it hard to grill properly. No seasoning on the pork belly. Pineapple Was fresh and not canned and we grilled it as well. It's a nice place but with a few improvements it can be a winner. read more

Came for dinner after work. It's an amazing space and super cozy. There's only a few waiters, which is perfect for the space they have. The restaurant wasn't busy when I came, but maybe before it was a Monday and also just after opening for dinner. The all you can eat selection is great and very filling. Legit 5 stars for this AYCE Korean BBQ! Some of the cuts may have been not our fancy but the rest of the food was simply great. Loved the lamb and ox tongue. AYCE AYCE AYCE YEAAAAAAAAA! Cute little location, clean and running efficiently. Comfortable table with a solid heater/venting that works perfectly well. No smoke. Service is a strong 5 stars all night long... quick on the replacement of dishes and the food kept coming with no lull in between. Our waitress was super friendly and funny and enhanced our enjoyment of the food experience. I love her. AYCE LOVE. AYCE desserts as well! So we got to try different ice creams (green tea, vanilla and mango) or fried baos. All very yummy but at this point we were sooooo fulllllllll.... you don't stop eating when you're full... you stop eating when you hate yourself. Being the first k-bbq joint in West-Island, I was excited to try this place out! Coming on a Sunday evening, we were seated fairly quickly despite the place being packed. The staff were very pleasant and checked on us often to make sure everything was okay. The food variety and selection were about the same as other Korean bbq places, but included all you can drink soft drinks as well. Although on the menu it's stated that some meats were marinated, when we received them (beef slices and ribs), they were hardly marinated and lacked some flavour. Luckily some sauces were provided (sesame and salt, and pepper paste), but did not include soy sauce surprisingly. They also provided lettuce, however they were not as fresh, seeing the ends really dried up. While their bibimbap tasted ok, the presentation can be improved as it looked like they just tossed the ingredients of side dishes in the bowl, with an over cooked egg and not enough veggies. On the other hand, their fried chicken was pretty tasty. Overall, although some dishes were simply okay, and the staff was great, the majority of the food disappointed me a little. If they added more marinade and use more fresh ingredients, I would give this place another shot. read more

One of the better Korean bbq places! The first thing you notices how adorable to place is. This house turned restaurant is so cute and cozy inside. We were given a bunch of traditional Korean marinated sides. I've never seen so many before. It was nice to get to try them all. Also the individual carts are so useful to hold all the meats while you're cooking them. As for the food, the meats were all very tasty. Some better than others but you get to try them all. Many side dishes to try also. I recommend the cold noodle salad. The service was fast, very friendly waiters. read more

Another great Korean BBQ restaurent in Montreal. This place is in old stone house...really nice setting. I came here on a relatively busy night. Had a reservation and we were seated without a significant wait. The restaurant itself has 2 floors. I'm glad we were seated upstairs because there was a layer of smoke filling the downstairs portion. The choice of food offered is extensive. Nice list of all you can eat appetizers to choose from. Really enjoyed the fried chicken and sweet potato noodles. Nice selection of meats available to grill too. And the table comes set up with all the fixings too (Kim chi, marinated onions, radishes, lettuce leaves, etc...) Overall a great experience. Really friendly service. I'm Korean and I visited here on May19,2023. I've never tasted food this horrible. My family searched for a Korean style restaurant and saw that this restaurant had good reviews, but I don't know why it has these good reviews. Perhaps these are old reviews or somebody related to the workers of the restaurant wrote these ???. It's not Korean BBQ. I found plastic on the meats and complained about it. They said that the meat were from plastic containers that were broken and only offered 15% off. The owner of the restaurant was not even Korean but Chinese. Make sure you call for a reservation, even if it is 2 hours in advance. Very important and you won't regret it. This Korean bbq is authentic. The tables when we arrived were all set up with kimchi and other pickled condiments and lettuce. The meats were marinated and flavorful. The side dishes were pretty good although I was too stuffed to be able to try all of them. The service was on point and the drinks were included. This is a great place to go to on a date, with a group of friends or even to have an event. Would happily eat here again. read more

This place is amazing! I've been here twice now will keep coming back whenever I'm feeling that Korean BBQ craving. Meat is fresh, high quality and there is a good selection! I really want to write this review because I hate knowing that a 1 star review/rant about the weather as the first thing people see on Yelp when you search K-BBQ. It isn't a fair review in the slightest and should not be the first impression that people get when they look up K-BBQ. The restaurant is located in a beautify old stone house and offers a very unique Korean BBQ. If it weren't for the BBQs at each table you could probably walk in and think it was a French bistro. Yes old houses= less insulation so it won't be as warm as if it was in a newly built building but to insinuate near hypothermia is a huge exaggeration. I can get super technical with the science behind heat retention....but this is a restaurant review not a lab report. So in case you aren't aware (clearly the Yelp Elite member was not) Korean BBQ is a concept where you order uncooked meat and then grill it yourself at your table (there is a big round grill at the center of each table). It is usually all you can eat for a fixed price, think all you can eat sushi but with good quality meat. It is a simple concept but when done right is fun, interactive, and delicious! If you do go to a Korean BBQ restaurant I would highly suggest getting what they are known for, not one of the filler items that are on there just in case someone doesn't want BBQ in your group. The best way to explain it is by thinking about an all you can eat sushi restaurant. 95% of the menu is sushi but there is always 5% other Japanese or even other Asian dishes, just in case someone doesn't eat sushi but comes with friends. K-BBQ similarly has a few classic Korean menu items that aren't Korean BBQ (raw meat you have to cook) , but to write a review about a restaurant after only trying the Bibimbap, is very unfair. There are Korean restaurants that don't do BBQ and focus on classic Korean dishes like Bibimbap, if that is more what you want I can recommend 2-3 great places but don't go to a Korean BBQ restaurant then. It is like going to a steakhouse, having a house salad and then complaining because it isn't as delicious as that salad you had at Mandy's 2 weeks ago... K-BBQ is great Korean BBQ because out of the many places I've been to in MTL, it has one of the best selections and the meat is some of the freshest I've seen. You can tell they don't have everything pre cut like other restaurants in MTL. I really hope a lot of people vote/like this review just so it surpasses the rant that is currently the #1 review. I really don't like that I am calling out a fellow yelpers but seriously... before writing something, take a step back, a deep breath wait a day to collect your thoughts and don't shit on a restaurant because you were cold and tried the equivalent of the house salad.... Mixed Feelings. Cooking's the fun part. We got almost everything from the all you can eat menu. Kept confusing the raw and cooked tongs, dangerous. Missed the $1.25 lamb skewers on the back of the menu, we just skimmed through it instead of looking properly. Thin meat slices on grill were hard to cook evenly as they would curl, break, and get overcooked. Thick was easy to handle. Thin salmon got destroyed into little pieces on the grill :( AAA Rib Eye almost no meat, but tender. Sadly no patience to cook my favorite cartilage until edible, not a good idea to have just one choice that takes long to cook, since it would get mixed with the raw faster cooking meats on the same grill. Not fun peeling the shrimp, but half the table didn't mind. Vegs were a waste since the grill's a flat plate with a few holes. Didn't occur to us to mix the vegs with the meat while grilling! Should have done that. Dipping sauces were bad. Brown was too bitter for me, half my table liked it. Dark liquid sauce was bland. No other sauces available, made me sad. Need more sauces, like spicy! Shameful for Korea. Only the Kimchi was spicy :( *slaps the owner* NO! You do not give ketchup for spring rolls! Wtf! Lol Reg mayo for the mysterious korean sushi "vegetable kimbap"?! At least make it spicy mayo! The sushi rice was very soft, mushy, ruined :( but the crunchy part inside was great! as well as the flavorful crab fish and omelet :) Gave us all our side dishes when seated, which were gone before the actual food arrived :( No one listened, so because I waited, I missed out. My table talked me out of re-ordering them, said they weren't good but I should have because they're meant to be eaten in between and with the main food! I ordered what I recognized, which was the kimchi & daikon, which were tasty. I'd be happy to each have our own side dishes in a divided personal plate, like the double sauce. This was a unique and different place! They have a nice setup for grilling your own meat. I had two tables going one for 'a la carte' and the other for 'all you can eat'. Will not return. This restaurant boasts a fixed price for an All-you-can-eat experience. We arrived on time for our 8:30 pm reservation for 2 but were only seated at 9:05pm at which time the menu was explained to us. The food began to arrive fairly quickly. By 9:20pm we were told that the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes so we should put in our final orders immediately even though we had not yet received all the items on our initial order. We were rushed through the meal which was decent but we had to deal with a poorly ventilated dining room filled with smoke from the grills at each table. Wait staff was polite and apologetic but the late seating, greasy menus, poor ventilation, and strict closing time policy was a turn off. Will not be back. read more
