Shrimp on a bun with fries
Phuong N.

I was so happy to see that they have a drive thru. The wait was well worth it because the crab I ordered came out so good. I got a shrimp in a bun with fries and two order of salt and pepper crab. The shrimp is butterfly and it was too dry. The fries was ok with sprinkles of seasoning. The salt and pepper was fried crispy and so good. I literally almost ate it all. If you are like me and like the crunch, you will have to eat the crab when it just comes out the fryer and everything is crispy and crunchy. The crab was well seasoned. Eating the legs while it's crispy is so good, taste like eating crab chips. They only part that you should discard the shell is the claws. I used the bun from my dry shrimp to eat with the crabs. Yummy! If I come back I will definitely only order the crabs.

Whu....what that it? Yep, U turn. IF! You are looking for this place and it's your first time, slow down to at least 20 because you will pass it up. You will mistaken this for a stand alone "building" that resembles anything but a restaurant, but it is if you look carefully. Don't judge the outside, the heart of the good stuff is inside. Parking, there are spots for about maybe 6 cars in a squeeze so be prepared to drive around in circles up and down College St. like a vulture. It's also in a not so good looking area so be vigil. Pretty butt hideous inside as it is outside so just don't look up, down or around and head straight for the counter and look at what they are offering. Chicken wings, shrimp, oysters, fried rice, fries, and crawfish just to name a few of the things they have. You have to try what seems like their signature salt and pepper wings, you might experience wingasm, flavor, yum! Prices, pretty reasonable, you won't go broke ordering from here. There are tables to eat at but for atmosphere and appetite purposes I would order to go if I were you. There is also a drive thru. Staff, run by almost courteous Vietnamese folk nothing more, nothing less. Say hello to their son that runs around the place, cute kid. If you are heading down College St. from I 10 t his place will be on your right hand side.....slowwwww dowwwwwn, or you'll pass it up again. Don't say I didn't warn you. There is a television here for your viewing pleasure, it is usually playing a movie via dvd/vcr.

Friendly staff and tasty seafood. What more can you ask for? They tend to get quite busy during crawfish season so call in your order to avoid the long wait. Be prepared to wait on a parking spot or wait in the drive through line because that's how busy they get! No dining in at this time due to COVID. FYI, they just started serving live boiled crawfish again. Call to check on availability. Their boiled snow crabs and shrimps are just as tasty if they're out of crawfish. Don't short yourself out!

This weekend im spending some time with my Fiance in Beaumont Texas. Hadn't gotten a chance to eat anything much today but im in the mood for Seafood. There are lots of Places in town that sells Seafood, but. I want good seafood. Usually my Number 1 spot of course would be Pappadeauxs Seafood Kitchen located on I-10 South, Beaumont Texas. But I have found another great place called K-Asian Kitchen located at 5540 College Street in Beaumont Texas that serves some great seafood. The menu is pretty big with lots of delicious combinations including fish fillets, Shrimp, Fried Oysters, Fried frog legs, Fried Pork Chops, Fried Chicken wings all served with fried rice or French fries, Cheese Burgers, Boudin Balls, and many many more delicious dishes to choose from, and this place is always packed. The boil Crawfish are incredible. I get crawfish there a few times a year when crawfish are in Season and I haven't been disappointed yet. The staff is already friendly and courteous and always greets you with a smile. So if you're in the Beaumont Texas area check out K- Asian Kitchen. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

This was my first time being there. The food was good and it was cooked fast! I had a lunch platter with catfish, shrimp and fries. It was really good: I tasted salt and pepper chicken with fried rice it was okay! This spot is okay not dope but it is clean . It's cheap too. I'll come back again Good seafood!!

Very tasty but to-go order wasn't well packaged. Sauce spilled out of our containers into the plastic bag -- a disaster waiting to happen back home in the kitchen -- but overlooking that mess, the food was great. We appreciate the food and portion sizes.

Good Friday eats! I often get Gofer free delivery codes but am unable to use it. Yesterday was an at home rest day( I don't get many of these days) and I decided to use my Gofer Free Friday delivery code. I ordered from KAsian since I heard so much about their crawfish. Everyone was right! Their crawfish was right on time. I got the mild seasoning and it was perfectly spicy. The corn, potatoes, and sausage was seasoned to perfection also. The crawfish size was medium to large and each one was fresh. Of course I had to get a fillet and shrimp. They were absolutely scrumptious. I followed the Gofer tracker and friendly Gabrielle drove up exactly on time. Very worthy of a tip! Oh yes, I will be using more Gofer codes AND frequenting KAsian.

6 butterfly spring with 5 nuggets and fried rice

I was a little disappointed because I heard this place was good but it was pretty typical. I've been to better places that are the same format. I came around 8:20 which is 10 minutes before they closed. I originally thought they closed at 9. I got the 6 butterfly shrimp with 5 nuggets and I asked for fried rice. I should have asked at the time because I thought it was going to be chicken nuggets but turned out to be fish nuggets. I may come back to try their crawfish when it's in season again.

This was by far some of the best crawfish I have ever had. It was perfectly spiced and extremely affordable. We ordered in the drive through and based on the reviews we had high hopes for the shrimp and crawfish. It was an excellent experience. I was able to get two pounds of crawfish for less than fifteen dollars, which was impressive due to the quality of the food. My fiancé had the salt and pepper shrimp, that she enjoyed very much. I'd recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting and anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to dine here. You will definitely not be disappointed.

We pivoted and stayed in Beaumont right across the street from this intriguing establishment. We had to try it. Pappadeaux did not disappoint. Restaurant is beautiful inside - dark woods and brass. Stunning. Started our meals with garlic bread, a cup of shrimp gumbo and a side salad. The gumbo was superb, could have eaten a pail of it. Very flavorful and loaded with protein. Wifey had blackened Salmon with broccolini. Salmon was cooked perfectly and portion size was generous. The veg serving could have feed 4. I went with the 10 ounce filet topped with crab and a creamy sauce. Dish came with spinach and a baked potato. Spinach portion was huge and potato was the size of a football. Steak came to the table medium just as ordered. Both entries were delicious. Our portions were so large we took leftovers home for lunch the next day. Warning ... go hungry. Order smart. Prepare for a doggy bag. Highly recommend without any reservations, would return in a minute. Well, made next payday. Place knew how to charge.

On my continued search to find my favorite (not necessarily the best ) avocado toast, I found…read moremyself today at JWilson's Restaurant. As always, the restaurant was packed--which is always a great sign that something good is happening in that kitchen! My waitress, Bailey, was sweet, attentive, and very accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. I started with a cup of their famous tomato bisque, and let me just say... I simply cannot come here without ordering it. This heartwarming soup, made with slow-roasted tomatoes, shrimp stock, cream, and Creole seasoning, is rich, comforting, and truly soothing to the soul. It remains my absolute favorite--if you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it! For my entrée, I ordered the Avocado Multi-Grain Toast. It's a light and satisfying plate featuring mashed avocado spread over thinly sliced multi-grain bread, served with your choice of sausage or bacon, an egg cooked your way, and a fresh tomato and cucumber salad. Everything on the plate was well-prepared and very tasty. If I could make one small personal tweak, I would love to see this served on a thicker slice of buttery toasted sourdough, maybe with a sprinkle of feta on top. That's just my personal preference and how I enjoy my avocado toast--others may find this version just right as is! The search continues for my perfect avocado toast, but this was a delicious and enjoyable stop along the way. Happy Sunday, and keep sharing those amazing finds on Best Bites!

On my most recent visit, I sat at the bar and started with a Buffalo Trace bourbon while looking over the menu. The bartenders here are always attentive and welcoming; in fact, the bartender remembered me from previous visits, which speaks volumes about the level of service they provide. Dinner was a ribeye cooked medium-rare with asparagus, and it was exactly what a good steak should be: perfectly cooked, with great flavor, and served hot. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. I followed that with their lemon icebox dessert and a lemon drop, both excellent, and finished the evening with a Four Roses Small Batch Select for a nightcap. What really sets J Wilson's apart is the staff's consistency and professionalism. The bartenders, servers, and kitchen team all seem to work together smoothly and take pride in the experience they deliver. Even on a busy night, with spring break crowds and daylight saving time throwing schedules off, the service remained attentive, and the food came out exactly right. If you're looking for a reliable steakhouse in Beaumont with excellent steaks, a strong bourbon selection, and top-notch service, J Wilson's is hard to beat. Five stars. Always a great experience.
