Most recently for me was a "complete freshening" (parts) of the AC SYSTEM . (My home is Lake Arrowhead and K&M is Bloomington, Ca) Original estimate time for repair was 1.5 days. Manny later that day advised he had an additional mechanic and the "repair would be finished in one day vs 1.5.) Sure enough, it happened. During repair I used the "Very Nearby Enterprise" (on your vehicle drop at repair shop they are very willing to pick you up and reverse up fix) for a six hour rental to do my other off mountain shopping. Very awesome repair shop! My husband and I bought a Ford F-250 via private party and we got robbed. The truck needed a ton of mechanic work. So we came this shop to see if they could help us out because they specialize in diesel trucks. And these guys are awesome! Not only are they skilled to repair multiple issues they are very honest about any work that is needed. The owner Manny and the workers are very helpful and make sure they get the work done in a timely manner. Any time we've had an issue with this money hungry truck they have been able to fix it. K&M Powerstroke Specialists are AMAZING! I have the dreaded 6.0 L Powerstroke diesel and have had to bring it in or have it towed here a few times now. This place specializes in the Powerstroke diesels and every time I've come they've had a parking lot full of them being worked on. No matter how busy they are they always take my truck and always have it done within a day or two max! They are so nice and genuine, and will always be completely up front with you about what really needs to be replaced. If you need reassurance or need some extra education/explanation of why they are doing what they are doing they will kindly explain it to you. They are 45-60minutes away from me depending on traffic and are easily worth the drive! They are honest and fair in their prices and always a pleasure to deal with. I've dealt with Willie every time that I have come here and he is absolutely amazing, he is always genuine, kind and explains everything perfectly!!! Initially, I was happy to find mechanics who seemed competent when it came to working with Ford diesel trucks. They stated the massive oil leak on my truck was only due to a faulty sensor and would only take about 15 minutes to fix. 15 minutes of work cost a total of $600. 300 charged for labor. When the truck was returned they failed to mention they did NOT refill the oil in the truck. I'm not a mechanic by any means but how the hell do you charge 600 and not refill the oil? When I called the owner to discuss the matter I was just met with attitude. Take your business where it is appreciated, and where if they mess up they are willing to make things right. read more

took my duramax to k&m check engine light was on i got a quote on a couple of sensors and thermostat kit glow plug and changed oil quote was 1,800 dollars i got the parts for 325 way over priced had them check my suspension got a quote 2,618 i took it somewhere else parts and labor was only 925 so be ready pay more than you should. i can't believe that it would take 11 hours at 1,089 just for labor that is a rip off read more

K&M is the only shop that I'll let touch my rig, period! To say Manny went above and beyond would be an understatement. I won't go into all the details, but Manny did WAY more than he needed to and my family and I will NEVER forget it!! Long story short, I do ALL of my own work, so if I bring my truck to the shop, theirs a big problem! On top of my #2 injector sticking open, I had a ton of fuel going into my crank case. I stabbed the new injector in, but I was still dumping fuel into my CC. My truck started and ran perfect, no loss of power and none of the usual signs of a HPFP failure. Probably had 20hrs into looking at HP lines, fuel rails with dye and even the old drain the oil pan and cycle the pump with the plug out trick. I finally came to the point that I had to have a shop touch my rig and that's when I met Manny... He knew he was in for it when I told him what I've done so far! After some time diagnosing, he realized that I wasn't kidding when I said theirs nothing leaking. Even the balance rates and fuel trims were perfect on his IDS. He called me and was straight up with me saying that my truck is probably the most difficult fuel issue he's ever had (and he's been in the game for a very long time). While on the phone brainstorming, he said the only thing he could think of that could cause fuel in CC with no symptoms would be the gear leaking (not usual) on the HPFP and not the seal. Knowing how expensive a HPFP job is, he asked to make sure I was on the same page with rolling the dice on a new HPFP. I agreed that it was the only thing that could cause my issue and we decided to go for it. Well, he was right! I have not had a single issue with the work he did. If I ever have another issue that I can't fix, K&M will be the one I go to. read more
