I lost my appetite and manager did not even come up the the table. she took $3.00 off a $18 salad that I couldn't even eat it. As someone in the food industry this should have been taken off my bill!!! I had to order Bourbon chicken to go. this is my third time with huge disappointments while eating at Barrell house. I saw the manager shrug it off. My family will not be eating here again. The manager does not care about customer service. I let the girl at the front counter know, that's why I ordered another meal, because our waitress only came back once. II had cut my chicken up into pieces. So how dare you say I ate most of the chicken. I saw it being thrown out after you snubbed your nose up. So I will not accept your apology. The food has been sub par but keep trying to support local! As we all know there aren't a lot of decent places to eat in Winnsboro and the manager at Barrell House is pushing people out the door. We have been to the BH for years and it stops now!!!

There are so few options like this around here. However, I have to knock off a couple of stars over something that should be very fixable. This is done in the sincere hope the management can see this feedback and change things, which will only increase their chance of success. What is the issue? The vibe. Concurring with Heather M below, the staff seems kind of cold and standoff-ish. Outside of bare-minimum service pleasantries, which are always fine, there is little to no other effort to engage and create an upbeat environment. The staff just doesn't seem to know what to do when not actually serving. They need to engage more, show some energy, and just plain seem friendlier. If the owners can fix that issue, they will have a winning total formula here. Perhaps make one Red Bull per hour mandatory for the staff! Edit: I stopped in again for the awesome beer, and things were about the same. Will keep bringing my business in hope, though...

The staff were more than friendly and knew their craft beers! We tried some new flavors and were made undeniable fans. I ordered a plate of Duck Fat Fries. This is a total game changer! We also ordered the Crawfish Dip. It was disgustingly scrumpdidallyumtious!!! Pure flavor profile explosion in my mouth. Never had anything like that before. My wife and I also decided to split a Smash Burger and that thick cut bacon with juicy beef patties... damn. One of the most memorable and satisfying experiences I've ever had, and I haven't even talked about the drinks. My eyes sparkled when I seen a Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned on the menu. A must try. While passing through on a road trip, my local friend recommended Pecan Point and I'm glad I went. Located in downtown, you'll find free street parking in front of the restaurant. We were greeted as soon as we entered and the inside is spacious and casual. I ordered the raspberry Chipotle smash burger ($16), peach cobbler, and a flight of beer and cider ($10). What made this burger stand out was the raspberry Chipotle sauce and fried jalapeños! The flight includes four 4oz pours of any draught and mine were Irish red ale, Pecan Pointe ale, bock beer, and apple cider. The Irish red was my favorite and the Pecan Pointe my least. I would have liked the cobbler to be a little more crunchy, but was still enjoyable. I recommend and will visit again when in town.
