As we were approaching the take-home date the breeder went silent for a few days. Two days before the take-home date she surfaced and claimed the puppy suffered a physical injury resulting in a punctured lung and had to be put down. What!?!? We were absolutely shocked, and something just seemed off. Kamryn then offered another black female puppy from the litter. We responded asking to see pictures of the 2nd puppy. It wasn't until the next day she responded saying her husband informed her that the puppy was already sold (how did she not know that when she seems to be th epoint person?). She then tried to point us to another breeder she claimed was a friend and had a black female lab which they did not. At this point we felt very uncomfortable and requested our deposit back. She tried to convince us to put our deposit towards a next anticipated litter months down the road. We again declined as we no longer felt comfortable with her. After multiple texts and a phone call, Kamryn called us back. She told us she didn't have the money to refund our $600 deposit (which if true was concerning on its own with that any animals under her care). She first spoke with my wife and asked if she could give us the deposit back some time in the future when she sells another puppy or receives another deposit. At first my wife felt sympathetic but based on the series of events that had transpired we untilmately felt like we would never see the deposit back, or hear from her again. She had given us a story that her husband left her within the past month and cleared out their bank account. When we questioned that just two days prior, she told us her same husband informed her the 2nd puppy was already sold, it seemed to catch her off-guard. There were just too many inconsistencies and red flags for a process that should have been smooth and enjoyable. We addressed these with her but she got very defensive and said we won't get our deposit back. We told her we would then file complaints as this is not an ethical way to do business and that she should just do the right thing and refund our deposit. She threatened using her attorney and eventually hung up. She has no intention of returning the deposit. This is possibly the most unprofessional, and worst attempt at transacting business, we've experienced. We now have concerns that this was a scam from the beginning where she accepted multiple deposits on the same puppies , we question whether the two promised dogs even existed and we have even more serious concerns for puppies and dogs well-being that may be in her care. We will be filing multiple complaints against this breeder if only to warn others about our experience.

The website says Florida (flgoldens), here on yelp it says City View Goldens in CA. Who knows. Check Better Business Bureau as well as verified reviews on other 3rd party platforms. Ask to meet the parents. Ask where the puppies were born/raised. Transparency is very important when you're buying a puppy to join your family.
