Great experience! The staff was friendly, and the whole process was smooth and efficient. They took great care of my pet and made everything easy. There was a bit of a wait but nothing unusual. I would recommend this place for anyone seeking a vet in the area read more

I am a huge animal lover and our family is big. We have 4 dogs and 2 birds. We have been coming to St Cloud Veterinary Center since we moved here in May 2022 and I have had nothing but a fantastic experience with the team. They treat your pets like family and you can tell they really love what they do. I believe Dr. Andrix is retired from exams and only doing surgeries but his legacy here continues. The new vets they have are amazing, professional and knowledgeable. The techs have been here since the beginning and have gotten to know me and my animals. We've done countless vaccines, dental cleanings, and an emergency here and there and they always make the experience a breeze. Can't say enough great things about this place! Will be boarding my puppy here for the first time and I know they will do a great job. read more

I made appointment for my dog two days prior. I got a phone call from the vet earlier in the day today and they wanted me to go to an emergency vet before seeing my dog. The vet doctor is now gone for an emergency. waste of time. read more

After bringing my little dog to multiple vets, St. Cloud Vet Clinic literally saved his life! They are kind, caring, sensible and thorough. Their attention to detail and follow up were better than any vet clinic I've ever experienced. I can't recommend this vet clinic enough... read more

I brought my dog in because she was showing UTI symptoms and strain. I communicated that I thought could be stones as I just went through this with my other dog who had the same symptoms (her littermate) and even said I thought I felt them but was told no, what I was feeling were "fat pockets" because she is a little overweight (which she is). She was seen by 2 different Doctors at this facility, Both said they didn't think she had stones even with trace crystals showing in her urine. She is on the c/d diet so I think they assumed that ruled out possibility of stones? Instead, they prescribed 4 rounds of different antibiotics that kept failing to work, 5 urine analysis tests (which kept coming back positive for UTI), 1 urine culture which said all the antibiotics should have worked, then another round of different antibiotics to try that again. After a few days into the 5th round of antibiotics, I called and said these are not working. Was told I need to go to a specialist but I could come in for a blood panel with them before going to a specialist to rule out cancer or diabetes (which she showed no symptoms of). I brought her in for the recommended blood panel which came back fine and I again pushed for xray which they agreed to do, and ended up showing 2 massive bladder stones. So much time and money wasted when solution could have been reached months ago if either doctor just did an xray. Just seems like standard practice for this scenario especially since they perform xray there in the office. My poor girl has been in pain and in discomfort for way longer then she needed to be. She has since got the necessary surgery to remove the stones (from a different facility) so I'm grateful for her relief and now we will move forward with a new clinic. Really a shame we had such a bad experience with the doctors leading this clinic because it's a beautiful facility and the staff are great. read more

Waited three weeks for the dogs shots Rabies etc and my dogs ear infection. Got there 30 minutes before my 4:00 pm appointment. Was informed the vet was not in. No body available to give the shots or renew her ear drops. They. Claim they called and left messages. No messages on my phone or missed calls from any number in the last two weeks. It was a complete waste of time. Drove all the way from poinciana to St. Cloud for nothing. read more

Terrible experience. Had an appointment once, waited 30 minutes after my appointment time was scheduled to be taken to the exam room. After 40 minutes of not being seen by anyone and waiting in the exam room, ended up leaving. Was told if we schedule an appointment during the morning, we would be seen sooner. Decided to give them another shot, had an appointment scheduled for 10:00 AM. Arrived earlier and took my dog around the premises so he could use the restroom and wouldn't disturb other patients in the lobby. Was told by the receptionist we were ready to be seen so we headed inside. After heading inside we ended up waiting another 30 minutes after being told they were ready for us. Sure veterinary offices can get busy however if you're late to your appointment there are repercussions but they can waste your time as much as they'd like to without a heads up. Don't try going to this vet if you have anything else planned for your day. Not punctual, not respectful of your time and not going back to this veterinary office again. I heard good things about this place, it's unfortunate I've had a bad experience just about every time I've gone. Good luck read more

I have a now 6 month old Rottweiler. When we first took her to get her shots she was scared and even bit one of the vet techs... they we're going to muzzle her until they brought in another vet tech named amanda... Amanda has been patient, kind, understanding, and very informative. After our first visit we almost didn't go back I had felt like they weren't going to give our puppy a second chance come her next visit. Each time the Dr. asked if she should be muzzled Amanda said "no I got her" and she allowed our puppy to come up to her get to know her and trust her. Today was our last visit for her vaccines. Our dog has not been easy.... she has bit, peed on, and growled at the employees but today she saw Amanda and her little butt started to move and she was excited to see her and it proved to me that a little patience and some care goes a long way. We're blessed to have had her on our visits as for the Dr he's thorough and knowledgeable he's been doing this a long time. After many people telling us to change vets I'm glad we stayed. read more

I brought my miniature dachshund Piper here for her annual vaccines on October 19th. The tech that was assigned to me was named Madison. She could not tell me what the vaccines were used for as she is going through a list of them to offer me. Strike 1.. Piper ended up needing 4 different ones and the Vet, Dr. Englehart comes into the room and explains to me that there could always be complications/ reactions which I was aware of and agreed to the 4. The tech comes in once the doctor is finished up explaining and proceeds to ramble on about the shots and ends with something along the lines of "theres a pretty big chance she's going to have a reaction so just make sure you give us a call when she does." The vet ushers her out, apologizes to me, and assures me my dog will be fine. Strike 2.. I end up going ahead and schedule her next appointment for November 9th since 2 of the vaccines required a second dose. November 9th rolls around and I arrive at 3:30, get checked in with the receptionist and she tells me to have a seat and someone will be with me shortly. I hear the receptionist call back to the techs to inform them there are 3 patients up front. They come and get the two others that were waiting before me. 30 minutes go by and I hear the receptionist call back to the techs to remind them I am still waiting. (I am the only patient at this time in the lobby.)(I also heard 2 different patients leave during this time so save the excuse that the rooms were full.) 15 minutes later I am still waiting in the lobby. The receptionist is not at the front desk and 2 techs come to the front desk. The older tech asks Amanda to give my dog the shots and Amanda proceeds to argue with the older tech saying she couldn't/was not going to administer the vaccines and walked to the back. Another probably 10 minutes go by and the elder tech finally acknowledges me and asks me if she would like to go ahead and get me checked out while I wait to be called back. I stood up and told her to cancel my appointment and walked out the door. Strike 3! I am a life long St Cloud resident and my family has been coming here for years. I can assure you I will never be back and will make sure to inform anyone that asks for a recommendation to a vet for it not to be this place. The amount of unprofessionalism that I witnessed was absolutely absurd! Why did you even schedule this appointment?? 55 minutes of waiting for 2 shots that would have taken less than 2 minutes to administer. Its taken me two days to wrap my head around what I experienced at this place. I should charge you guys for wasting 55 minutes of my dog and I's time!!!!! Side Note: I am not slandering Madison for not knowing every detail about the vaccines but you should at least get a cheat sheet that you carry with you so you can reference it instead of saying "its hard to explain" over and over again hoping I would eventually drop the question. read more

If I could give ZERO star rating I would! Please BEWARE! St.cloud Veterinary Clinic Last Wednesday Night my friend calls me her dog hasn't been eating or drinking she is very concerned about his well being I went over took a look he resembled having maybe worms ,we gave him worm medicine he threw it up ( we are not vets we were just trying to help him ) by Thursday he was much worse so she rushed him to the first vet who could get him in asap ( happened to be this one ) once she saw the vet he gave her a few different options but highly pushed getting xrays he made it seem life or death so with her being extremely venerable she agreed to the xrays when he came back and showed the xrays ( she didn't know what she was looking at ) he told her something was in his intestines blocking them. He then said he must have a surgery between that night and first thing in the morning. So she agreed to the surgery of course anything to save her baby.. so then later that night about 6:30-6:45pm he calls her and says they did the surgery and found NOTHING , that his intestines are irritated ( they could of seen this in the xrays) at this point ( and a 1500 dollar surgery) he says it isn't the intussusception that because SHE mentioned he got ahold of a turtle his educated guess would be salmonella poison he is going to give him antibiotics and he will be able to be picked the next day that he is doing very well and lifting his head up and everything. So Manson got picked up and took home he seemed very sore uncomfortable and not any better. As the days go on he doesn't seem to get any better.. By Monday they take him back and the doctor admittedly said he didn't know what was wrong.. with out doing further test which of course cost more money.. So As of yesterday 9/26/2018 Manson was taking to another vet who could not understand why they insisted on xrays and surgery vs blood work and IVs... Manson was very dehydrated between Monday and Wednesday nigh Manson was on the verge of death from dehydration thank god they took him to the new vet when they did... Today she gets the call from the doctor ( at the st cloud veterinary center) and says if they were not working with her being on a budget they would have had him on IV fluids ( of course Money is more important then the true health and well being of someone's fur child!! They want to say that your pets are family but they damn sure don't treat them like they are) The new vet has had him at their office and on fluids since 7:00am and aren't planning to release him till at least Friday ( if this was taking care of in the first place Manson could be home with his family not in a hospital missing them!! NO I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND TAKING YOUR FUR BABY HERE ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY NOT THE WELL BEING AND HEALTH OF YOUR FUR BABY!! read more

I believe our pets are equal to family, and the undying love and care these animals provide to us deserve to be reciprocated. This clinic does not share the same values. Today I brought my dog for a routine exam and vaccinations. At our previous vet, she was given vaccines with no issues, examed thoroughly, and loved by all staff. I can not say the same for this establishment. The poor care was not just given to pets but to humans as well. I waited, alongside three other patients, for over an hour in the waiting room. Once back in the examination room, the doctor, Mr. David J. Andrix, made the nurses restrain my pup before she was even allowed to stand. She started crying and his response was "Put a muzzle on her, I'm not going to deal with that." My dog is not violent nor was she even growling. His remarks are said throughout the exam, with "Has she ever even been to a vet?" With her panicking he continues the exam to her glands, the mess goes everywhere including my dog. Instead of cleaning her up or the table, he continues. In his hurried pace, he moves his hands around my dog and says she's healthy - that was the exam. I felt helpless, stressed, and disgusted during this visit. I hope the next person scouring the internet looking for a new vet reads this and stops themselves from entering this clinic. In conclusion, if you love your pet, don't go here. read more

I have been going to Dr. Andrix for probably 30 years, he cares far more about the animals than the owners. He has saved so many of my pets, I wish he could treat humans. I have never had an emergency with one of my pets, that he has turned me away. I have a cat that is diabetic and he is going on having the disease for 5 years under Dr. Andrix's care. I would and do recommend him to every one I know. His staff and facilities are wonderful. I don't know what I am going to do when he retirees. read more

They may have feelings but not for owners ! We had to put our dog to sleep last Friday. My husband stayed with him till the end. Before they put him to sleep the employee came with the bill ! My husband crying asked if he could come later Monday to pay it the answer was : Nobody leaves without paying the bill !!!!! For 30 years we are clients with Mr Andrix ! He would have never said this ! We had similar situations in the past and he always said : Do not worry we will mail you the bill ! Is this the kind of veterinarian you want ! read more

Awesome experience! We recently moved to the area and didn't know where to go when our cat got a bad abscess and tooth infection. I called and they got us in the next morning. Immediately the staff makes you feel like family, even offering me a drink while I waited for the doctor. The facility looks brand new and is clean and very nice inside. Dr. Bassett spent a lot of time with us and let me ask questions and express all of my concerns. Unfortunately kitty needed surgery. I was given an estimate and everything was explained. No surprises at all, except that the bill was less than the low estimate! We just got lucky that our cat didn't need some of the other procedures that were anticipated. Also, Dr. Bassett called me himself after the surgery and he saw us personally when we picked up our cat. He took his time and explained everything he did and what to expect. I couldn't be happier with the service and level of care we all received. St. Cloud will definitely be our vet of choice. Plus they have a groomer and boarding facility! Thank you all!!! read more

I usually am not one to rant about anything but this definitely deserves to be heard.. (this will be long) Do NOT go here!! My mom takes care of stray cats.. where she lives they just keep coming so she would always use that vet to get them fixed and get all of their shots and things needed to keep them healthy... It's close to her house & they were always ok about seeing them. Well my mom has a particular love for one cat she had babies a while back so we took her and the babies in to get fixed and get all of their shots, like she would with any animal.. my mom released her back outside when she was healed because she just didn't do well in a home. (Some Feral cats rather stay outside) it was hard for her but since she lives on more than an acre of land she knew she wouldn't go far. Every morning and night my mom goes out to feed her and give her treats (just showing how much she cares about this cat) well fast forward months later to now, our cat started getting some weird skin condition almost like a cyst rupturing all over her body. She'd get one behind her left ear & it would rupture than her leg.. my mom was giving her antibiotics but she was getting worse and we were worried about an animal getting her, so we took her to the vet. Everything went well when she got there, they treated her for 4-5 days (I can't remember exactly) & my mom was anxious to get her back.. she went in on the 4th day being kind & grateful bought 2 dozen boxes of donuts to treat the staff for always taking care of her and the animals she's brought over the years.. so when she got there they called her back & had her waiting for half an hour. Eventually the vet came in and said they had a hard time trying to get her into the travel carrier so they had to sedate her. When they brought her in she had her eyes open but was out of it.. the vet then ripped off her leg bandage taking her hair and skin with it. The vet said they had to keep her for the day to drain the bump on her back leg but she could get her at the end of the day. My mom went back home and an hour later the vet called her and said they had to quarantine her because she apparently bit a nurses finger, he told my mom they only will need to keep her for 5 days to report the bite. My mom was super upset and just wanted her baby back but she let it happen because that's what they have to do. I looked it up and it actually is supposed to be 10 days so I told my mom she's lucky and she will get her soon. 5 days later my mom calls and the lady who answered the phone was very rude and laughed at my moms face because she was ready to pick up her cat. The lady hung up on my mom so when she called back the manager answered and said they have to keep her for 10 days it's the law also made it known that even if my mom did take her home she wouldn't be able to care for her because her condition is so bad. My mom is very good at taking care of sick animals and since this cat knows her so well she will have no problem taking the medication or anything so she felt they were just making excuses and left her to believe the cat didn't bite anyone at all.. (she also planned on keeping her in the house for good) well the 10th day passed yesterday my mom called and left a voicemail & they didn't call back this morning she gets a call saying she can pick her up and the bill will be $2,200 ?!??!? My mom was expecting a high bill because of the treatment she needed but that is ridiculous. The whole staff and vets have been inconsistent, rude , they've ignored and made fun of her. Not cool at all my mom is picking up the cat now so I will keep the post updated if anything happens.. but I made this to keep everyone aware of how they are. My mom is the biggest animal lover she doesn't even eat meat she wouldn't hurt a fly (literally) she just wants her cat back home so she can take care of her. She definitely didn't deserve the stress these people made her go through. read more

So I write this review with a heavy heart. I never write reviews but today is different. Today I had to make the decision to put my 12 weeks old puppy down. I showed up to the office unexpected for a follow up visit from the emergency hospital. I was taken right away. Dr. B was reviewing her medical records before they even got us in the room. Long story short I have never felt so much sympathy and empathy from a doctor in my life. I'm truly grateful for the staff and physician here at St.Cloud. They were so supportive and reassured me that there was nothing I could of done to fix the fact she was born with kidney failure. As this is so hard for my family and I'm glad that the staff was there to help me every step of the way. :-( read more

I took my beloved 13 year old black Lab, Halle, in yesterday to be put to sleep. Prior to my arrival, I spoke with the receptionist, whom was friendly, and told her I wanted to have my girl put to sleep and wanted to pay the extra cost for the medicine to make her comfortable. She said that was no problem. When we arrived, I went inside to the front desk and explained that Halle was heavy and I would not be able to lift her myself. I was directed to the back door, Emergency Entrance, where a gentleman (Vet Tech) would help me. We got her onto the gurney covered in the sheet I brought to take her home and bury her in. I waited in a room with her for a few minutes. I cried and said my goodbyes. Dr. Andrix came in and said 'You know how this goes' and helped the Vet Tech place her onto another cold, metal gurney. He referred to my girl as IT throughout the ENTIRE process. He proceeded to shave her leg and get the medicine ready. I went to the opposite side of her so I would be the last face she saw. After he shaved her, he proceeded to inject her with the blue liquid that was the euthanasia. NO COMFORT MEDICINE. NOTHING. He said they could dispose of IT's body. I refused and said I would be bringing her home with me to bury. He told me that IT would be put in a bag so IT didn't excrement in my car. I refused the bag as well. He had the ABSOLUTE WORST bedside manner and was extremely cold. Dr. Andrix never checked her (IT's) pulse after she passed. I held her face, looking into her eyes and just cried the whole time telling her how much I loved her while she was being injected. He said me and IT could have a moment alone. After he walked out, I walked to the other side of her and wanted to make sure she was gone when I noticed blood all over the table, dripping onto the floor. I grabbed some paper towel, and the Vet Tech came in, offering me tissue. I explained it wasn't for me, it for the way she was left and the amount of blood spilling out. I wrapped the paper towel around her leg and cried some more. He was busy cleaning the flood off of the floor. I turned down the plastic bag for IT, instead opting to wrap HER in the blanket I brought from HER home. I told the Vet Tech this was the worst experience I have EVER endured with a Vet and he just said 'sorry'. He told me the cost and I handed him my MC to pay. When he came in with the receipt, I told him I WOULD NEVER, EVER RECOMMEND THAT PRACTICE TO ANYONE.......EVER! I am guilt ridden that THAT was the last place SHE was at...alive. She was our family member. It doesn't matter how often you do this, you shouldn't treat people OR their babies in such a manner. I found DR. ANDRIX to be cold, detached, rude and made a horrible situation even worse. I had another black Lab, Chloe, put down about 8 months ago with our regular Vet. This was the first time I've had an animal put to sleep. That Vet was caring and full of compassion. My children and myself were in the room throughout the whole process. It was already difficult, but it was extremely loving and peaceful. I called that Vet's office and he had emergency surgeries all afternoon and suggested a name locally. That is what brought us to Dr. Andrix. This was on a Friday afternoon at approx 4:45 PM. We also tried to get the home Vets to come to us, but we could not reach them and assume they were busy. Halle hadn't eaten in over a week and we couldn't let her starve to death over the weekend. She was wonderful to us for so many years, it was only fair and right we be the same with her. Had I known what the experience was going to be like and how the Doctor treated his patients and their loving owners, I WOULD HAVE NEVER, EVER, EVER TAKEN HER THERE. Now, i must live with this guilt. However, I will continue to share my story to save another bereaved owner this added grief. Dr. Andrix should be ASHAMED of himself! After I returned home, while my 15 year old son placed our baby girl in the hole that he dug for her in the back yard, I called our regular Vet's office and told them of my experience. The receptionist cried and said SHE felt guilty for giving me their number. It wasn't her fault. She promised me that they would NEVER refer another person to him, and that was satisfactory to me knowing someone did not have to endure our story. After this tragedy, I reached out to some friends',Two of which told me they had the same experience with this Vet and would never go back. read more

I had to put my beloved 13 yrs 9 month baby girl Serenity down yesterday. She had been sick for 5 days not being able to keep anything down and I could not let her suffer anymore. I started to call for prices for euthanasia on Friday and I spoke to Lisa she was extremely compassionate talking to me. She told me I would know when the time was right and she was very understanding and sorry. When I called the day that I took her I again spoke to Lisa. She was so caring and told me to call her when I got there and she would let me in the side. She came and greeted me and Serenity and my daughter. She pet Serenity and talked to her. She brought me kleenex. She asked me if I preferred to pay the bill before or after and gave me my receipt before so I didn't have to focus on anything but Serenity. She played with my 4 yr old daughter and kept her occupied which I really appreciated. Dr. Andrix and Tommy gave her the shot and I asked them if I was doing the right thing before they gave it and they said yes she was suffering. They told me yes which made me feel better because I hated to do it. They told me I could have as long as I needed with her. They asked me if I wanted a burial bag and I said yes but I took it with me. Lisa carried her out and told me she was so sorry. Other than shots my animals have not needed much vet care but Saint Cloud Veterinary Clinic did do her teeth cleanings when I had them done and her spay surgery as a puppy and they have always provided excellent care. I do recommend them if you need veterinary services. Thank you for being so caring and compassionate to Serenity and myself in her final moments. read more

If you board a pet, be ready to pay for hidden fees when you pick up your pet. They require extra tests and exams and the costs may not be fully explained at drop off. I asked for an estimate over the phone when making the appointment and then when I dropped off, the lady at the desk didn't discuss the huge difference in costs for other things that had to be done. They think their broad policy statement you sign about boarding allows them to charge fees without itemizing beforehand. Ironically, they didn't adhere to another of their own policies that says they'll consult with you if any changes are needed which will alter estimated fees. read more

I had worked in the veterinary/ pet boarding industry for about 10 years and have to say this place feels "like home". The office is quaint and private. The receptionists seem to be a hit or miss, but everyone else seems to be quite friendly. Dr. Bassett is wonderful and very patient, he has gone above and beyond to help us understand our geriatric dogs newly found IBD and working out the medications. Dr. Hendrix is okay too, but he can be a bit rough around the edges with his bedside manners. We first found this place when we were looking for boarding for our two dogs. I am VERY picky, I don't care. I want someplace that is clean and organized with friendly staff. My little dog is set in his ways and on medications. My larger dog suffers from separation anxiety and wont eat and makes herself sick if dad's not around. Alina is very nice and accommodating to this and made sure they were both comfortable. read more

I went in on 9-21-15 to check the place out as I was shopping for a new vet. I received a lot of helpful information, was treated nicely so made an appointment for the next day at 10:15 a.m. I arrived with my 2 dogs the next morning. I stood at the counter for several minutes while the receptionist was on the phone. I saw a few other employees, they saw me, but never spoke to or acknowledged me. The receptionist kept looking all around as if looking for help. I finally sat down to wait. By now it's past my appointment time. A girl came out and called in the only other person In the waiting area. Several more minutes go by and I decided to leave. As I'm going to my car the receptionist then came out another door apologizing, asking me to go in and start over, etc., etc. I informed her I could stay at my current vet and get ignored and treated poorly over there. She told me if I changed my mind to come back in so I told her I won't be doing that. It's my opinion, judging by the receptionists conversation and tone of voice, she was on a personal call and couldn't be bothered with me until I got up and walked out. I was so hopeful the day before, but to be treated like that on day one is clearly a place I don't want caring for my 2 dogs. read more

Rave, Rave. Rave...should have done this earlier. St Cloud Veterinary Clinic. I have had to be there with two different cats within the past two months. The facility is always so clean and the whole staff was so nice and sincerely cared for my kitties. I asked them to stay within a certain price point and both times they worked hard to stay within the ranges. On both visits, Dr. Bassett and Jennifer took care of me and my kitties. First visit, kitty was very sick and had to be put to sleep. I called that morning and they got me in in the afternoon. As someone else had said, they make you feel like family. Asking if you want a drink, asking how kitty is. Dr. Bassett and Jennifer explained everything and what needed to be done with wonderful compassion and love. Jennifer gave me time with kitty and the gave me a hug right after he was put to sleep. Wow. Second visit, they got me right in and the same great experience. The receptionist gave me something to calm kitty while waiting and again asked if I wanted drink and came to see how she was. Dr. Bassett and Jennifer helped me again. Told them how much I could spend and they gave me estimate, when I came back to pick up kitty, the bill was less than the estimate. Dr. Bassett and Jennifer came in when i came to pick up Cordy to give me instructions, what had been done and what I needed to do. I have used them a few times before but this cemented me as being a client for the life of my animals. read more

Over the years I have taken so many cats to Dr. Andrix for treatment I can not count them all. Dr. Andrix has a great deal of knowledge and is very compassionate. He also has a wonderful way of incorporating old school knowledge. My most recent cat miracle was when Dr. Andrix diagnosed Fuzzy Bear with Twitching Cat Syndrome. There is no cure. Dr. Andrix decided we would try a treatment to lessen the symptoms. With daily medication Fuzzy Bear is living a normal and happy life. Thank you Dr. Andrix -- you are the best!!! read more

February 17th, I put this suffering to an end for my precious little dog, Buddy of 16 years. I have been a long time customer of Dr. Andrix for 30 years. Over the last 10 years Dr. Andrix pulled all but a few remaining teeth, did routine testing, and necessary shots, treated Buddy for a heart murmur and did several complete bloodwork panels. Twice in the last couple of months the blood results showed the liver was failing. Febuary 2nd, Dr. Andrix recommended that I put Buddy down that very day. Unable to cope with that decision I decided to continue paying almost $100 per month for heart medicine and to continue buying this special dog food that was almost $3 per can for Buddy. February 14th Buddy took a turn for the worst and his mouth was very tender from not eating or drinking and breathing through his mouth instead of his nose. I scheduled the appointment and paid the money up front. I asked that I could hold him in my arms while the shot was being administered but I was told no. He was taken out of my arms and placed on a cold steel table. Buddy's mouth was slightly agate for the last two days from slowly dying. Doctor Andrix grabbed his mouth and yanked it open to look inside pulling up his lips and looking at his back tooth. I gasped and quickly said "His mouth is very tender." Doctor Andrix said, "If you would have brushed his teeth every once in a while it wouldn't be sore." I wish I could have snapped out of my shock and stoped the procedure so I could take Buddy to a different vet. I did not take him in to be tortured before the needle was put in his vein. Dr. Andrix acted as though he did not know us, or, our history from all the numerous office visits. I have asked to have the records to my other dog.
