We parked for $4 flat in the Chunsan Plaza lot, a block away from Yang Chow, and then shopped at the stores nearby. This store, a few doors down from Yang Chow, caught our eye, because they had gorgeous silk pillow covers and table runners in many colors and patterns. A darling pink tutu with matching Chinese brocade top caught my eye, so I got it for my 4-year-old niece ($10). The more I looked through the store, the more I saw! It was a plethora of interesting and useful things - all at bargain prices! Bonsai trees Lucky bamboo Money trees Fob-y looking womens and mens clothing Womens traditional cheongsan (brocade) dresses Childrens clothing Shoes Cozy slipper socks with treads Cute asian tchochkes Asian art Cheap costume jewelry Fun gifty things The couple who owned the store were very sweet and helpful. My friend got 2 pillow forms, 2 gorgeous embroidered silk pillow covers, and a satin chinese table runner for $22. What a deal! I'll definitely be back to shop more for myself and for gifts when I can spend more time here!

Not sure if I liked all the combination of bamboo and vases but what I did like was the girl was willing pull out certain bamboo pieces I wanted from premade vases and put them in new vases for me. Flexible. I like it. I thought I got a rather good deal but then when I came back after 10 minutes because I wanted to buy 3 more plants she said she charged me wrong so I gave her some more money. Still a decent pay but not as good as a deal as I thought. They have money trees too all three kinds, like it. =) A tip though is the bamboo places in the back alley near the gold line are even cheaper and I got a really nice bamboo line up in a turtle vase for $10. Personally I don't like to spend money on mass produced clothes to look like everybody else. That would never happen here. The extra appeal for me is that I hardly ever find the same things twice. Other shoppers I see who frequent here like the lady suits that can be custom to fit since the owner can do a little tailoring on the side for free I think--now that's customer service! Costs are fair though the cool friendly owner can give some price breaks too. And hooray, she accepts ATM/credit cards. =)

When Dear Hubby and I were shopping at The Citadel Outlets some weeks ago, Daisy Shoppe caught my eye. They carry a mix of home decor items, plus trendy clothing. I enjoyed wandering through the store, seeing how they merchandised the products, as well as getting a smile out of some of the sayings on the home accessories. There's a sense of whimsy in the shop, which is always welcome, especially when it's done well. I ended up buying a vest on sale, since I'm obsessed with vests. Had I been in a different mind set and/or budget space, I would have picked up some gifts. Sometimes you have to be in the mood to do that kind of shopping. When back in the area, I would put Daisy Shoppe on the list to stop in and see what's new, and also how they've chosen to display it. Prices seemed fair, but keep an eye out for extra special offers or sale racks.

There are four different locations one in Brea Mall, Outlets at San Clemente, Cabazon Outlets, and this one is located in Citadel Outlet in the same area as the Disney Store. Too Cute! They offer cute, trendy, clothing, accessories and home goods. I was seriously in there contemplating on purchasing another luggage (they had cute luggage too) to have room to bring home more things from their cute stock. Luckily, I found out they have their own website and they ship out to Hawaii. However, they don't have tons of the things I saw in their store. :( The store is well organized and eye appealing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When the staff member who checked me out mentioned that she has been to Kaui and loved that was it for me. I love this store and hopefully they will branch out to Hawaii. Their clothes had cute sayings and you can find Christian (religious) books, clothing, and home goods. The pricing is refreshingly fair (honestly better than I expected), and the store itself feels clean, organized, and welcoming. It's rare to see a space where plus-size women are clearly prioritized, and it makes the whole shopping experience so much more enjoyable.
