In early 2025,…read moremy 2014 Ram 2500 Powerwagon had a bad tick and it turned out to be a bad lifter that wore the camshaft... long story short, I needed a new 6.4l hemi for my truck. I got quotes for it from about 11 different mechanics. I went with 5 MILE AUTO CENTER because of the communication and the transparency of what was included and how much each item would cost. The work was done in the promised timeframe and they kept me informed on the progress and answered questions every time I had them. Then when I came in after done work and made my final payment I was informed that not everything they quoted was needed and they were able to do the work for less than what they thought and agreed on. THEY WERE TOTALLY HONEST AND ACTUALLY CHARGED ME OVER $500.- LESS !!!! I could not believe it! I have not met anyone like that!! Then later on after about 2 weeks, the fan was still much louder than I was used to (turned out my old fan clutch was actually broken and that is why it was so quiet) he replaced it and put in a new one, all under warranty, did not charge me a dime! In addition they topped off my transmission fluid which was low, for no charge at all. My experience with 5 MILE AUTOMOTIVE CENTER could not have been more pleasant! A huge shout out to the 5 MAC and everyone who works there, I d recommend them for any work you need done on your car! They are HONEST, CARING and TRUSTWORTHY, and of course, my truck runs like a champ now!! Will take all my vehicles there if I ever need anything.

I had the transmission replaced after three months of it being in the shop to pick it up with the exact same problem. John stated he could not figure out the issue and would have a specialist take a look. Told us once again it was fixed and ready to go. We picked it up a third time same problem. After four months we find another place to take it in. Upon pick up the car was smoking so bad we could hardly see around us, the car had trouble starting and felt like it would shut off at any moment. I explained to John I had a newborn and what was I supposed to do. He response was "not my fault they sent us a bad part". It was the EXACT same problem since day one now with much more problems and he was blaming the new parts. Worst professionalism I've ever come across. Just kept going back to blaming the new parts. The issue was straightforward and resolvable in a single day. After eleven days of vague and questionable excuses, I finally got my car back. I don't know if Tune Tech's policy is to "just get them in" and then manage as best they can, but it would explain the overpromising and underdelivering I experienced. I hope their scheduling and policies don't reflect their technical abilities. I hope they fixed my car correctly. I wish I didn't have that doubt. Time will tell. Lunch rolled around and still nothing. I then called around 2pm and said they finished my car. While I get it's not easy to predict how long work can take, this was both off by a large margin, support was practically non-existent, and I had to chase them down to find out when my car was ready.
