Javier and Ismael did a superb job of painting the exterior of our home. The initial response was quick and got a reasonable estimate right away. We selected him from 3 other companies. So glad we did. Always here when he said he would be, made excellent suggestions, and did quality carpentry work as needed. The other thing I appreciated was they always checked to make sure exactly how I wanted detail done, before just doing it. As a bonus, they were great guys to work with. I plan to have them come back and do my interior painting. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend JV painting. read more

Javier and his team did a great job on my home, which hadn't been painted in 12+ years.  I have southern exposure so a lot of fading had taken place.  I chose a dark gray and Javier made suggestions as to contrast colors and trim.   I am EXTREMELY pleased with the result.  I made a late request for painting of the front door with a teal hue and he threw that in at cost.   He's a great businessman, quality work, carefully protected all my newly poured concrete stairs and steel railings.  Very professional, clean, and efficient. Call him for  a free estimate.  Book his services, you won't be disappointed. Caran C read more

A couple of years ago, I had JV Painting paint the exterior of my home and was delighted with their work in all regards. When it was time to sell the house this summer, I immediately went to JV to paint the interior. Javier and his team did a fantastic job again! They are meticulous in their work, punctual, reliable, and very friendly. I couldn't ask for more. Javier has a good eye for color and recognized right away that one of the trim colors I had chosen was too light. He was so right! We chose a new color and the room looked perfect! Javier and his team worked around a rather tight schedule with other contractors and open house dates, and he went out of his way to be accommodating. Despite the rush, JV did a beautiful and professional job. And for a reasonable price! I was so pleased with both the interior and exterior of my old house that I had JV come and paint the exterior of my new house before I moved in! It looks terrific, and I get lots of positive comments from the neighbors. Thanks again to Javier and his crew. These guys are the best! If you need a painter, call them! They are professional, careful, easy to work with, and reasonably priced. Thanks, JV! read more

Taking a walk one day, hubby and I discussing the in's and out's of finding a painter. At that moment a JV Painting van pulled up and parked in front of a neighborhood house. I introduced myself and met Javier. We talked asked about his company and had a very good conversation. Though I am one to do a lot of research in picking a company, something made me ask for an estimate and off we went. JV Painting just finished painting our house, exterior and interior, and we are very happy we met Javier that day. What a great job they've done. Javier and his crew are hard workers. Javier and his crew were on time, excellent at what they did, and always cleaned up after themselves. Javier and his crew were thoughtful of our needs during the time they were here. I am not good at picking colors and when I asked specific questions Javier gave me excellent suggestions. I am very grateful for his in-put. We had not painted in over fifteen years. There was some dry rot, holes to fill, a small area with water damage and miscellaneous other repairs. JV Painting did a great job with those repairs. JV Painting did not throw on a coat of paint and be done with it, my walls were thirsty and Javier made sure the walls got the primer and the number of coats they needed. They used what was needed to protect the wood, I think it's silicone or some kind of caulking to keep water out and other things of that nature. JV Painting did a very thorough job ! The cost to paint the entire house was fair and reasonable. Very reasonably priced, they painted our vanities and even a few cabinets, beautifully. With an immune deficient son, it was important that all COVID protocol was followed. Even now, when mask mandates have been lifted, Javier and his crew had to change their routine, wear masks on very hot days and never did they drop protocol. I know it was inconvenient for them but they were highly cooperative and never ever said a negative word. I loved the flexibility around our needs. My home, inside and out,is beautiful! We have been in this home for decades and my husband and I both agree our house looks better than ever before. We are very much happy, satisfied customers of JV Painting. read more

Haven't painted house for 12 years, so I needed a paint job. Finally got a quote with everything included in the price. He fixed other problems at no extra costs. Has painted many neighbors in area and everyone was pleased with work. Very neatly and quickly done with quality work. Great crew! Very professional! Very Happy! read more

I had JV Painting paint the exterior of a garden cottage I recently finished renovating. From the first phone call to the finished product Javier and his crew were fantastic to work with. Javier was very easy to communicate with and promptly returned phone calls and replied to texts and emails. Why can't every contractor/tradesman be so conscientious? I'm a meticulous person and their attention to detail more than satisfied me. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up thoroughly. I spent the last 4 months renovating this cottage exterior and seeing it painted with such care couldn't make me happier. I'll definitely be hiring JV Painting for all my projects! read more

JV Painting - Job well done! - Painters Near Me

If I could give Javier and his team 10 stars I would. Beyond amazing doesn't even cut it with this group. This job was a large one and they just kicked ass. Not only professional, punctual and precise but personal as well. The painting is some of the best I have ever seen and working with them has been more than a pleasure. I am in the middle of a hectic move from the Peninsula back to Marin and just having Javier and his team do the amazing work they have done to the house has lifted a huge weight off my shoulder. I had both the interior and exterior of our home painted including repainting of cabinets and each job has been done impeccably and on time. Javier's knowledge of color and paint style is beyond remarkable and has helped me through the whole process. We are commuting back and forth while I am not there I know that the job is running smoothly. Javier is super easy to communicate with and he is the master at follow up and communication. Kind of sad the project is done because both my husband and I have loved having him around - true gentleman. Can't go wrong with JV painting. The proof is in the pudding....check out some of the photos. read more

I interviewed three painting companies (including one recommended by a trusted friend) to paint almost every room in my Mom's house. I chose JV Painting because Javier was a cut above the rest. In our initial meeting, he was personable, knowledgeable, and truly interested in what we were doing. He also made great recommendations in terms of how we could best coordinate the scheduling of the painting with the installation of new laminate flooring and carpeting. Javier, Roberto, and Danilo transformed the interior in every room that was graced by their paint brushes. I welcomed Javier's assistance and advice in the paint color choices and they were spot on. During the entire project, Javier kept in touch with regular text messages and photos. I truly enjoyed working with him and his team. We are already planning to have JV Painting return for the exterior job. I am very thankful that we chose so well! read more

I recently bought a house that needed complete texture and painting on the interior. I had many bids come in, and Javier and JV painting went above and beyond to get our project completed. They had a full schedule when they booked our job, however to fit us in (the house was vacant) they worked nights and weekends to get our job done within our agreed upon timeline. Javier was great with recommendations in the moment too, during jobs. If he felt something could be better, he would give me a call and make on the spot recommendations. He was also flexible with our additional requests above our original contract. I would not hesitate to recommend JV Painting in the future, and I plan to use them again on my next project(s). JV Painting did my home not to long ago and I have my neighbors always complementing on how beautiful the color and work was done. He got the job done fast and professional. When Javier came to my home not only was he affordable but also very honest. I would recommend Javier to anyone who wants their home to be beautiful and not to spend a fortune. read more

Where do I start...........Javier and his employees Roberto and Danilo are professional, kind, patient, personal and true gentlemen. Javier picked out my colors for trim, doors, closet doors, base boards, walls and ceiling - I trusted him from the first second I met him - am not disappointed! My home looks incredibly beautiful and classy! They were punctual, thorough, cleaned up at end of each day, did all in 4 days and did a fabulous job. Am grateful for them and all they accomplished and the great wonderful job they did to every detail including the communication and follow up. 5 star review, would give more if I could. We had a fair sized project for the exterior of our house and fences, and JV painting crushed it! They hit all of the marks - Great Communication - High Quality - On Time and On Budget JV Painting was prompt to estimate and gave a very fair price. As we were getting close to being next in line to start, Javier had frequent communications about the start date and the process. Once on site, the crew was hard working, clean, and very respectful. The house looks great now and we have already recommended this crew to friends and neighbors. If you we need future jobs, we are calling Javier and JV Painting. read more

I'm impressed with Javier and his team, they did a great job painting my 5 bedroom home in Petaluma. Why 5 stars: *Javier is an excellent communicator, does what he says he will do, and is service oriented, *JV Painting was thorough, clean, worked fast and provided a high quality paint job that shows off my home. * I liked the outside so well I had them repaint the master bedroom with equally superior results. In my decision process, I had spoken and received bids from 7 painters. Several of them put the rush on me to use their favorite paint brand even though I was decided on Benjamin Moore. Javier, graciously worked with my preferences. Others were over priced or non responsive. I highly recommend Javier and JV Paint. read more

Javier and his team did an excellent job on the exterior of my house in Santa Rosa. It was a tough job because the house hadn't been painted in 12-15 years and its redwood! The existing paint was chipping and sun baked and I was really pleased with the amount of prep and repair Javier did to get the new paint job looking great. Javier is an excellent communicator both via phone and text with suggestions, updates and questions. I will definitely use JV Painting in the future. read more

javier, donello, and roberto painted my house last week. they were clean, punctual and very skilled. the prep was super duper. attention to detail was outstanding. javier helped us with color selection. oh, and by the way, they did little extras we hadn't even bargained for. they ordered an outhouse for their use and i thought that was pretty classy. We had a little trouble with an aged garage door. Javier hooked us up with a good local guy who took care of the door. Javier repaired some minor dry rot and there was one other spot that required a bit more. He had a great guy do that work for us. everything was so well done. My wife said that Javier performed as if he "cared" about the job...i wholeheartedly agree. read more

Javier and his team did an amazing job! We had only moved into our house about a month before and without know much about the community relied on Yelp reviews to choose a painter to update our 2 guest bedrooms and guest bath. Not only did he complete the job with a short turn around time, but he helped me choose an amazing paint color, and helped organize getting crown moldings put in. He was very friendly and professional and always easily available to contact by phone or email. We will definitely be reaching out to him when we are ready to update the rest of the house! Highly recommend. read more

When I got my house back from tenant to sell it, the walls has crayon drawings all over the place and was very dirty, as they had 3 kids and lived there for 7+ years. I didn't have much budget so I was going back & forth if I should sell it as-is or paint. So, I got few quotes to see if it's feasible for me or not. When I met Javier, his quote was reasonable and he put me in such a easy and his communication was clear and pleasant, I decided to take a chance and paint the house. Javier was willing to work with me to let me have different color paint for different rooms even though he knows that it will cost him bit more, just to help me out to sell the house better. The team worked tirelessly and did great job and also clean thoroughly after done painting. The work required turned out to be more than Javier initially estimated so they ending up working half day extra to complete the work but Javier and his team never complained or trying to get more money and worked with such a pleasant attitude, I was very impressed. House now looks beautiful (Javier even power washed outside!) and hope it will help to sell it faster and for better price. Highly recommend them. read more

I highly recommend Javier and his crew. Javier came over to give me an estimate same day that I called. He gave a fair estimate and did a beautiful job with the exterior of my home in Petaluma. Javier and his crew did an outstanding job painting my eves and trim on a two story house. JV painting matched the original paint (24 years old), caulked the space between the stucco and wood and pointed out a couple of issues with the tile roof (that were not visible from the street). Each day after leaving the job the outside of the house was immaculate, you would never know that they had been there. Javier's crew are a very professional group and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and use them again. read more

JV Painting just completed the entire exterior of our house and we are extremely happy with the results. There was a good amount of siding repair. Javier Valencia is very professional and has a great crew supporting him. Javier replied quickly to my inquiry and was willing to come out right away for a proposal. Unlike some of the other contractors I heard back from, JV Painting could commit to do the job right away and get it done in quickly and reasonably priced. His quote was well below the other quotes yet he went the extra yard on prepping, repairing damaged areas, and informing me of any additional issues I needed to attend to. He was great at communicating with me at all times and got the job done quickly. One of the best businesses I have worked with! The house look like a millions bucks and my husband and I are very pleased. Highly recommended. read more

Fantastic painters! Best painters I have ever used, they do it right the first time. Show up on time and clean up nicely when they are done. I like that Javier helps you make the right color choices so everything turns out perfect. I recommend them highly! read more

I came across JV Painting on my Nextdoor app where many neighbors had recommended JV for house painting. We were on a tight schedule because it was almost the rainy season, and we had found that the woods were in very bad condition since it had not been repainted for a long time. We reached out to several companies but JV responded right away, gave us the best quote. There was no reason to not select them, given good recommendations from neighbors, and also he had painted our neighbor's house which looked great. We had an issue with HOA regarding the color and had to repaint when we were almost halfway done. JV offered to provide service at a very reasonable cost and the crew were able to get the painting done within days right before the rain. JV has been flexible, and always responded in a prompt manner and the quality of service is excellent and detailed. I would whole-heartedly recommend JV painting to anyone looking for painting service! read more

This review long overdue - Javier and his crew painted our house last summer - fantastic work and highly recommended. He's great to work with, meticulously clean and tidy, and prices excellent. This past October, I was looking to get the exterior of our house painted before winter came along. I received multiple quotes from other painting contractors, and JV Painting was by far the most reasonable. Not the lowest, but definitely not the most expensive. For the work that we needed done, Javier's quote was the most realistic. They were on time, both daily and with respects to the original quote for job length. They did an excellent job, and we were very satisfied with our choice. read more

Javier and his crew were courteous, professional, prompt and the work was top notch. We changed our paint color halfway through and he rolled with it and still completed the work on time. Our home has been transformed and I couldnt be happier, highly recommend! read more

Without reservation, I highly recommend Javier Valencia and his company JV Painting in Novato, CA. We were referred to JV Painting by a trusted home improvement retailer, and Javier gladly provided references and photos of his work. Javier provides a rare combination of excellent customer service and communication, high quality work and attention to detail, honesty, reliability, and meeting deadlines within budget. His crew is well trained and supervised. We did a major remodel of our home, and Javier and crew repaired drywall, expertly textured ceilings and walls, and painted surfaces and trim beautifully, both inside and out. He uses quality paints, and offered excellent recommendations for color and texture. They also painted cabinets and doors, including the front door which has intricate carved details. I can't overemphasize Javier's communication and customer service ethic. He checked in, gave progress reports, and sent photos daily. He pointed out many things and I would not have noticed, and gave us a range of options with pros and cons. Besides interior and exterior paint, Javier and his crew also did a laundry list of handyman tasks that made the home move-in ready. It showed beautifully the first day on the market, with complements from our realtor and sellers' agents. We got an offer that day, at substantially above our asking price, and the home sold in record time. We could not have done it without Javier. Thanks! read more

Javier and his team have done an excellent job on several painting projects I have had over the past year. Javier is one of the most honest, professional and responsible business owners I have worked with. He is incredibly personable, gives honest answers and makes sure all of the jobs are done with the highest attention to detail. Most recently, JV painting, painted cabinets in a bar which included a custom wine rack and doors. I received quotes from many others and Javier was by far the most reasonable. I even had other painters tell me it wasn't possible. I couldnt be more happy with how our paint job turned out. I would highly recommend JV Painting for any painting need. His company is fantastic! read more
