Although he got jobs mixed up some times, with telling me a product could only be ordered by a pallet but it wasn't our job. Every time we talked we had to go over what bricks I wanted even though he had it written down. The part that didn't go so well, we were doing a relocation of a drainage pipe to the front from the back. We all agreed to where it needed to go to for the water to runoff properly. Our fault for not having it exactly specified in feet on the quote, lesson learned. Day of, we learn that he stated it can't go that far, they can't dig that much and could only go part way. That is exactly what I didn't want for water to drain to my driveway so in the winter it would ice.

One of the driveway slabs of concrete near the fence had a buried tree stump that prevented them from completing the job. Totally understandable. Kevin told me if I get rid of the tree stump he'll come and finish the job and give me a good deal when I'm ready. Again totally understandable. I foolishly paid him the total balance for the entire job even though they didn't do everything that was promised with the expectation they'd come back and finish the job they were paid for. Big mistake. I've been contacting Kevin for now over a year and half trying to get him to do the right thing and finish the work. He has upselled me on a new cost to get the remaining job done after I have already paid him. I reluctantly agreed because of the position I'm in and he still hasn't honored his commitment to completing the job despite me agreeing to pay him twice for the same job. He called me on the phone in November and gave me his word he would make it right. Still nothing. Just a repetitive cycle of ghosting and poor communication. The driveway is chipping already and flaking to the point I will have to pay for repairs on top of trying to get the job done. This job was done in July 2024. Very frustrating and downright insulting that this company doesn't honor their commitments and disappears on you. I paid 12k for the entire project and it is devastating when a contract company can't deliver on the work they promised but have no problem taking all your money from you. To these companies 12k may not seem a lot but to the everyday person like me who works a normal job this is a huge amount of money to spend that is taking me years off to pay, all with the job undone. All you ever ask is for people to do the right thing and this company hasn't. If I were a new customer I would have them sign a binding document that holds them to the entire scope of the project otherwise they might disappear on you like they did with me. The had the heavy equipment to remove the old concrete quicky and put in the framework for my patio & driveway the first day. Next day for the city inspection. Third day they were here again @7am and poured the concert and finished in less than 6 hours. The last day they came back and removed the framework and cut expansion slicing in all my concrete every where so no slab was over 10 * 10 reducing the chance of it break or crack again. They even extended my area around the patio with their backhoe for me for use to install landscaping that we will have installed soon. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. The quality of work beyond the quality I was expecting and the price was fair to very good. They were on time and answered my question with friendly answers. They did first class work. I hired Detroit Concrete Leveling to raise back patio and side walkway concrete to address drainage…read moreissues. Their work in those areas was acceptable. During the quote, I showed the salesperson, Lawrence, two sinking areas in my front sidewalk. He said they would raise those areas at no additional charge. When the crew arrived, I explained that sprinkler lines ran along both sides of the sidewalk and asked whether there was any risk of damaging them. They assured me there was not. They then proceeded to cut sprinkler lines at both locations. I left a voicemail at their main office asking how this issue would be resolved. Lawrence returned my call and said Detroit Concrete Leveling was not responsible for the damage based on terms noted on the back of the quote. The work provided at "no additional charge" ended up costing me $499 for sprinkler system repairs. I strongly recommend you do NOT hire Detroit Concrete Leveling. They do not take responsibility for damaging customers' property. If ownership disclaims responsibility, customers should not expect the work crews to show adequate care for their property. If you still choose to hire Detroit Concrete Leveling, I recommend budgeting extra money beyond the quoted price. You may need it to repair damage cause by their careless or indifferent work. REPLY TO THE OWNER'S COMMENTS OF 7/17/26 Michael - I left a voicemail at your main office on the morning of July 9 regarding the sprinkler damage. Later that afternoon, I received a return call from Lawrence, the salesperson. I contacted the company for a quote on gutters; they insisted that I be able to meet with the salesman for "x" minutes, so he can show me his "presentation". Not ideal, but I went with it. Beaudy came by and spent 90 minutes with me; taking photos, notes, calling back and forth to the "boss" to get my price lower. They agreed to lower the price if I agreed to allow them to place a sign in my yard for "x" days. Fine, I paid a deposit on that's when the fun started. The day of the install, two people came over that morning. They did not know where things went, They had no idea what a rain barrel was. I walked around with them explaining it all, and then had to leave for vacation. There was a significant language barrier; although they were very professional and worked quickly, they had no instructions. While on the road, I received a call from a guy who was at my house, wanting to review the project and making suggestions on changes due to drainage issues he discovered. I had to pull over to talk to him; I had already spent 90 minutes with Beaudy, then another hour with the install crew, now this cocky guy who I had never heard of. Where was Beaudy? Does he even work for this company? I called the office and asked that Mr. cocky pants gets off my. property and send Beaudy over. When the job was finally "done", it was not done, The rain barrel was left uninstalled; deflectors were missing in several places. The owner (?) Bryan came out several times to fix all of the problems. This is the short version, this was so ridiculous I can't believe it really happened. I finally "found" Beaudy, who said he was out with Covid for 3 weeks. That would have been nice to. know; but I still am not convinced he even works there. BIZARROWORLD.
