Super cute little place to get breakfast/brunch/dinner. We have been wanting to try this place for…read morea long time, but it seemed like last winter they had limited hours and days, and they were closed during summer! We finally got to try it after a year living in the area. We got the following: lavender vanilla latte - high quality coffee beans used, it wasn't that "milky"/no coffee type of latte. It was made to perfection, an espresso taste balanced w the vanilla lavender. The buffalo chicken sandwich was actually a very generous portion of chicken and right amount of buffalo sauce. The havarti/spinach/truffle oil crepe - the moment they brought the crepe to the table I could smell the very fragrant truffles. For dessert, we shared the rose hip mascarpone crepe - perfect amount of sweetness and eclectic flavor. Overall everything was on point, food was tasty and service was perfect. The only thing to improve is maybe the hours in the future? Not sure if during winter time they will change their schedule again but we had a hard time last winter going there due to timing.

We made reservation to make sure we had a dinner location, but probably not necessary on a regular…read moreFriday night around 6-6:30pm. Street parking is as you can guess hit or miss. We sat at a high top and ordered drinks... not the fastest service, but seemed to be just one bartender. Not our favorite cocktails as they were just a little off. Just one of the 4 would have gotten the same drink again. For food, seems like everyone else wanted their chicken sandwich!!! Nice sized breaded chicken on bun with delicious, crispy fries!!! I also loved my chicken and feta Greek type salad. Nice portion with perfectly cooked and cut chicken. The flavors were so good, I didn't even try their dressing which they serve on the side. We were a bit full for dessert, but also only option was their crepes... maybe next time. A good option if you have family members with food allergies, or are vegan/vegetarian. Everything is clearly marked on menu.

This is a difficult review to properly balance. We'd seen the rooftop restaurant from my son's new…read morecollege apartment and went for dinner. After reading the sign indicating we need to see the host inside, we went. It was packed and looked modern chic, with low lights and high tables and tall chairs. We didn't have reservations and got the sorry, but we're full, to which I said we wanted to eat upstairs. To that, we got "okay" but that is a "different experience," which I frankly took as pretension... until I got upstairs. Then we understood. It was mostly empty on this Saturday evening, opposite the main restaurant below, and had a single person working the whole space, a Bar tender who explained we were to pull up the menu with a QRC, order, and they would bring the food; if we wanted drinks, we needed to come to the bar. Ordered food. Went to bar and waited. Good local craft beer on tap. Decent view, pleasant weather. And then a half hour passed. For sandwiches and tacos. Few minutes later, I went in to make sure our order was sent and that the kitchen actually received it. There was no animated chef in toque at a stove to indicate it was working, but she assured me it was. Another 15 minutes go by, and our beers are low, and we're considering.... Leaving or raising a stink when the bartender leaves her bar, looks at us, and goes down the stairs without a word, returning a few minutes later with nothing. That was odd, but seemed like progress. A few minutes later, our food arrives. Perhaps 50-60 minutes after ordering it. The runner tells us the manager apologies for the wait and has comped all our food. Without our having to say a word. We ate a fine arugula salad with watermelon, blueberries, and cheese. A good chicken sandwich with the most unusual Parmesan parsley fries--they were more thick chips, fried into curls, and topped with fried parsley and grated Parmesan. If you order it on the side, it comes with aioli, which was excellent. My burger was outstanding. I could taste the smoke, and it came with not slices, but small cubes of bacon. No need for sauce. My wife's shrimp tacos were very good eating. Frankly, it was so good, I *might* have forgiven them the wait. They did right to acknowledge their mistake. When we visit Binghampton again, we'll make reservations for the main dining room, which we were told has a much larger menu. We paid our bar tab via their Toast app. So yes, table service, but no waitron. It was a different experience, true to the host's word.

disappointing. We were in town to drop off son for school…read more My birthday was a few days later so i figured we'd go somewhere a little more special and upscale. We walked in and were impressed with the decor. It feels special. We then got seated. My reservation was made weeks prior. Resturant wasn't close to full. In the center there are three really nice booths. There was a table of 4 in the center one. All others were empty. We would have loved to have been seated there. We were brought over to a corner right near a curtained off doorway. I thought 'hmm that's odd.' Too tired from a long drive i accepted the seating. For the next 30 mins i listened to what seemed like never ending amount of dishes and silverware be clanged and washed. I then almost asked to be moved but just hoped it would pass. No new diners came in. Not sure why we were put in the corner but it was a negative for sure. For our meals... i ordered a Bolognese. I love a bolognese and when it's on a menu i get excited. This one was bland and flavorless. I could make a much better one. Bolognese takes hours to slow cook and this was simply not a bolognese. For $32 it needs to be better. I honestly was so unimpressed i left about 3/4 un-eaten. Waitress asked me if i want a to go box. No. no need. The butter candle was cool. My son loved his gnocchi. Portions were big. Tried it but we won't be back.

We came towards the end of the lunch rush (1-2PM?) and were seated immediately. The ambiance is hip and buzzy, with lots of colorful decor. The menu had some very tempting options, even for vegetarians. We started with the buffalo brussel sprouts, a stroke of genius. I'd never thought about dousing this tasty veggie in hot sauce and blue cheese, but it makes sense. This was a very tasty app, and the sprouts were roasted perfectly with crispy outer skins which provided the crunch needed for a good buffalo dish. The special that day was some kind of french dip sandwich which one of my dining companions got. Another one got a cajun catfish sandwich and graciously offered me a bite. It was flavorful. For my main, I got the spring roll bowl and decided to add tofu. It had noodles, peanuts, a sweet thai chili sauce, and lots of veggies. It was MASSIVE. Prices are a little high but the portions definitely made it worth it. I could have taken half home as leftovers if I'd wanted. The restaurant also has a coffee bar which we decided last minute to partake in instead of venturing out into the rain to find a different cafe. This was such a convenient option because we didn't have to fight to find parking or brave the weather to go to a second location. I did a pistachio latte. Someone else at my table got a Mexican hot chocolate. I treated myself to the homemade whipped cream. The coffee hit the spot. Throughout the whole experience the staff was wonderful. Our food came out quickly, and the servers were very friendly and joking with us. I'd come back if I was in the area.

At no time within that hour did anyone come over and acknowledge the fact that it was taking over an hour to get our food. When I finally asked to see a manager, the host responded with "well. the manager is really busy, but I'll see if she has time to talk to you." When the manager did come over, I was the one who had to suggest that maybe she do something for our table. She ultimately comped our drinks. Really not worth the hype. I don't understand why everyone says this place is so great.
