The supervisor James stays on top of the job and the associates in the office are personable and professional. Today was the fifth time in the last decade that I've had Just Windows clean the windows of our house (and sometimes garage and cottage too). The windows are always nicely clean when they leave. But the process of dealing with them today was way more painful than I expected. First off, they started phoning me around 11:45 am, wanting to come over asap to get started for my 2:00 appointment because I was their "last" appointment for the day! I wasn't even home when they phoned! And I needed to do more prep at home before their visit so they could reach the windows from the inside! Plus, I had this vision of a nice quiet lunch at home BEFORE they showed up! When I called up the office to ask what the heck this rush was about, the staffer with whom I spoke kept trying to tell me my appointment was for 1:00, not 2:00. Turns out that somebody had assumed I'd be okay with an earlier appointment time and changed the start time in their computer system without actually getting an okay from me. (?!?) So, they deferred to my request to stick with the original 2:00 appointment time, but the head of the crew seemed totally PO'ed with me, presumably because I hadn't agreed to change the appointment time per his request. He sniped at me, I sniped at him, etc. I'll probably have them back again because I am pleased with their work, both the quality and how quickly they get the job done. But next time, I'm going to make it very clear when I make the appointment that I'm not going to take any early calls from them the day of the appointment! I want them to show up at the time we've agreed to, not at some hastily arranged new time for their convenience.... read more

Bought a groupon for gutter cleaning and had them do the windows as well. They did a great job on the windows but not only did they not clean the gutters, they came back to do them and still didn't clean them. The first time they claimed they didn't have the right tool, the second time they only cleaned half of a gutter and left a bag full of debris for us to throw away, and when we called to find out what was going on, we were given a bunch of excuses, told our home didn't qualify for the groupon and then told us to go back to groupon and get our money back because they wouldn't be coming back out. At no time did anyone tell us that things would be an issue. Such a shame that they do one thing well and completely fail at another. So because of their bad customer service and failure to complete the job they were hired to do we do not recommend them. Thrown in a broken screen frame and USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

The windows got cleaned but they left a mess on my floors and dust, dead bugs and water spots. They didn't move any furniture back. They chipped the paint and Sheetrock came off my wall and didn't even notify me. They left a dirty rag and screwdriver here. Very disappointed and unprofessional. I've used Just Windows a number of times. Their price are good, the service is excellent and they are very reliable. Yes, you do need to book out a long time in advance, but that's how it is with these businesses that operate in a dusty climate. People want their windows washed and there aren't a ton of companies that offer the service compared to demand. So just know you need to book about 2 months in advance. I'll be booking my window cleaning in November now. read more

Damage to several dble pane windows: Just windows cleaned my windows over a month ago. I noticed the next day that several of the windows had numerous scratches and I called right away to report this to management. They sent out Erik on 6/21 to assess and he confirmed the damage. It appears they used razor blades to clean spots. We were told that he would have management review the issue and contact us. We have not heard one word from anyone regarding this issue. read more

I bought a Groupon for $143 which was good for 20 windows. I had 11 including the two sliding doors. I paid an extra $75 to get the tracks cleaned. Two men came on time. The older man was better in cleaning and he was doing the interior while the younger man did the exterior. Standard of work wasn't the same. Older man cleaned better. I had to show them that they missed the tracks in the windows, and they cleaned it but not enough since you can still see traces of them in the corners. The exterior guy left some dirty hand prints on the rim which I showed the older guy and he cleaned it after all. I don't think I will call them next time with or without coupon. read more

Just Windows has been my go to window cleaning service for the past 6 years. Just called to schedule for this year and find prices have DOUBLED!! Instead of charging by square footage as they have done in the past they now charge $9.50 per window. For my two-story home I can no longer use this service...$$$......deeply disappointed! read more

Not that impressed. I had bought a Groupon and didn't read the fine print (my mistake). The cost only covered washing the glass. If you want your screens and tracks cleaned you have to pay extra!! Seriously? Any time I've had my windows cleaned it always included cleaning the screens and the tracks. I've never had to pay extra. They were on time, they guys were friendly, they did a good job with the glass and the screens. But the tracks.....all they did was vacuum them....they didn't do any kind of wiping or actual cleaning of the tracks. Nor did they even wipe down the "frame" of the window.. Literally, they cleaned just the glass. They also missed three of the tracks and had to come back. read more

Window cleaning was fine. Do Not have them ask you to add screens, tracks & frames. They Shredded 20 of the 30 screens they cleaned. After the fact they tell me not responsible for screens 3 years or older. They said sun damage will ruin the screens when cleaned. They didn't mention anything after the first screen was shredded & continued to clean them. Didn't mention anything until I see the screens back on the windows.All shredded. Called they said that's what happens... why would I have gotten them cleaned to have the shred them to holes... rather have them dirty & whole. read more

We contacted Just Windows based on the great reviews here. While everything turned out decent (for the most part), it took a lot of micromanagement of Walter and his crew. They quoted $605 to completely clean all 32 windows, doors, screens, and tracks. Quite a bit, but they were pretty dirty, so we gave the go ahead. Walter and his crew showed up on the right day, and on time. Yay. Well after an hour or we saw the crew carrying ladders out to their truck like they were done. A quick look around and it was obvious they were nowhere near done. Off came the ladders, and three hours later, with a lot of tsk-tsks and do-overs they were finally done. Still a few streaks and smudges around the edges of leaded glass. Walter, to his credit, was conscientious, and did a good job. His crew, however, should find another line of work. We'll be looking for another window washing company. read more

***update 6/11*** wrote an email to the owner and he addressed the service issues assured me that it must have been a bad day and was inexcusable, and they are coming back to "make things right and give a quality cleaning. Yay for standing behind your work! Will update once cleaning is complete.. I've been a yelper for years and have never written a "bad" reveiw ever. This is my very first "NEGATIVE" review but I really felt like I had to warn people and tell them about MY awful experience, I am including photos as well. perhaps this company is not the same company anymore (Changed owners maybe) as the positive reviews listed or perhaps the team that was sent to me had a bad day or the reviews were written by coworkers etc or the bad reviews were deleted from yelp. In any case I cant beleive after reading the reviews about the experience I had with them Whats interesting to me is that the site lists there address as San Jose and they do have a San Jose Number but the team and business are in Redwood city? Anyway down to the meat and potatoes. I typically use another Window service whom I wont mention names here but they do a fantastic job. (what was I thinking changing?) well I saw a TOWNHOG (sort of like groupon) gift certificate special for this company for a full window cleaning and decided to give them a try. I have my windows cleaned twice a year winter and summer and so I decided to give the company a try for the summer cleaning. To give credit where credit is due first and Foremost the scheduler was VERY nice her name was Robbie I believe and I had no problems Scheduling an appt She was professional and handled things in a prompt fashion asking the right questions and getting me scheduled quickly. However, things declined immensely from there. My cleaning was scheduled and confirmed at 230 on saturday afternoon. The company called to confirm the cleaning time and left a voicemail which I kept. The crew that came to my home showed up at 9:50 am on a Saturday. I actually played the voice-mail for the guy from my cellphone saying that they should have come at 230, and he just shrugged. My husband and myself were still in our pajamas. The crew was over 4 hours early, rather then send them away, I quickly got dressed and decided since they were there we would let them clean the windows although it was VERY inconvenient. To my surprise The window crew finished in just about 45 minutes. II am used to the service I used really taking there time usually an hour and a half or so and getting all the nooks and crannies and making sure my windows and frames too and ledge looked great and sparkle The previous company brought brushes and cleaned the outside shutters as well for the same price. The team that came to my home were just plain SLOPPY they sloshed water on my hardwood floors. That sat there mop bucket on my daughters plush rug and actually LEFT it there after they left I discovered it. The frames got a quick once over with a damp rag, the quickly wiped the screens with a damp rag. I realized later they didnt even OPEN the windows to wash them leaving the tracks filthy. Please see the photos I posted (their timstamped too!) I saw NO Other tools other then a bucket of soapy water and a few rags. They moved a few pieces of furniture to get to the windows and sloppily put them back not even bothering to push them back where they were. There was a small high window above our bathtub. One of the men stood in the bathtub with dirty shoes, They dusted that window and knocked CLODS of dirt in the tub and left them all over my daughters clean bathtub toys. (the bathroom was perfectly clean because I was having guests come the previous day I had had a housekeeping service come the day before and scrubbed the tub) I was NOT happy when I discovered I had to RE-CLEAN my daughters tub later that evening as well as her toys. Not only that but I have a small daughter who is 5. When I went to get her dressed for her swim class I walked into her room and noticed not only had they sat a dirty mopbucket on her rug but they LEFT it there! (see the timestamped cellphone photo BLECK) THANK GOODNESS, she didn't go play in the dirty water or spill it all over her room as i had no idea it was there. They complained that there were water spots on the front window and said it was the best they could do to clean them and he reccd that I turn my sprinkler around. I was very polite with them but they acted as if they were in hurry and didn't really care about doing a good job. I expressed concern and said hey I think the ledges are still a bit dirty he said on we cleaned them its in your glue. (It was not as I ran a wet finger over them and my finger came back black. The guy shrugged and I was so upset as I mentioned I wrote an email to the company as well as told the head cleaner I was not satisfied. Very good experience. Here's why: -We haven't professionally cleaned the windows at home for nearly 12 years. Our windows now look brand new after the service. Amazing. -Efficient work: The entire house, inside and outside, was complete within 2 hours -On time -Courteous -Workers wore shoe covers when entering the house -Yelp Deal worked perfectly One improvement point: -Before work begins, it is best to instruct workers to handle blinds carefully by opening them all the way before lifting or sliding because blinds can break this way. read more

We purchased a Living Social deal. It was $57 extra for to clean the window screens and tracks, which was a reasonable price for up to 25 windows. They have good communication, as they called well in advance of the scheduled time to let us know they were running late, which was appreciated. They arrived, made contact with me, explained what they were going to do, gave me a copy of the invoice and got right to work. They worked hard the whole time, and worked as a team to get everything done as quickly as possible. Our window tracks were so caked with dirt, I was really impressed with how clean they got them! They used a combination of dry brushing and a wet/dry vac to vacuum up all the dirt, results were impressive. As another reviewer stated, they didn't automatically remove their shoes, or wear booties over their shoes, which would have prompted a 5-star rating if they had. But then again, I didn't push the issue either. All in all, very hard workers, job well done; windows, screens and tracks all thoroughly cleaned, above expectations. I couldn't believe how much brighter it is inside our house! I will definitely both use them again, and recommend them. read more

The job was for extremely dirty windows and a sliding glass door (inside and outside) of a 2nd-floor condo. Patricia responded to my phone calls in a friendly and professional manner. From a description of the condo windows, she gave me the price - and it was very reasonable. She said if the window washers found that extra work was warranted, I would be informed of any price increase before the work started (but they didn't and I wasn't). Scheduling was easy, the crew arrived on time, and the results were sparkling! If you want a locally owned business to provide refreshingly high quality service, call Just Windows. You know what I like? I like it when I need some service for my house, then I find someone who says they can do it and then they do it better than I expected, for a reasonable price. That, my Yelp friends, is Just Windows. They're like a pastrami sandwich from Refuge in San Carlos, except I can't eat them. I called JW to clean my filthy home windows (1500 sq ft, one floor, "just a short walk to the avenue!") because every time I try to clean my windows, I hate doing it and I do a crummy job. The 2 guys showed up an hour early, they were prepared, and they did a thorough job. And, I'm overjoyed to say, it was only around $100. 2 weeks later, my windows still look great (meaning, I can see my gorgeous neighbors, the sunset, etc.). 5 Stars. Use 'em! read more

Great services. A crew of four worked on my house, spent a little over one hour. They did a very thorough job on my windows: vacuum/blow the frames/tracks, took out screens and washed them, wiped clean all windows. They also wore shoe cover to avoid any dirts on my floor, much appreciated! Only thing is that I had a paint stain on a couple of frames and I was under the impression when I requested the service they said that they were going to take care of them, but at the end the gentleman who's in charge of the cleaning informed me that they couldn't remove the stains. I have tried several different window washing companies and these guys are by far the best. The company determines cost by the square footage of your home, not the number or height of windows. The scheduler is very accomodating and if you like the lead guy in the crew you can ask for him again. They will send anywhere from two to four people. They have always been on time, once they were early. They take their shoes off before they come into the house! I wish I could get my husband to do that. Very thorough and tidy. If I had to pick a fault it might be that the same driver clobbered a wooden plant border in the front yard not once but twice. It looked like you could drive over it so he did. That is fixed now. I have had my windows cleaned by them about seven or eight times. Well worth it. read more

Just windows has done fantastic work for numerous listings over the years. They are always very fast and professional! They can clean any and all windows in any condition, and have great rates. Not only that, but they can clean your entire house too! It is a little more expensive to do the house cleaning than other cleaners, but nice they have that option. What can I say, like the other reviewers, Just Windows did a superb job and left me as a 100% satisfied customer! They came out within a couple days from when I called and were prompt, professional and courteous. I have a 2-story home and they have no problems working around all my clutter (inside and out - although, this will give me a good reason to de-clutter my house as well!) A big plus is that some of my windows have mild mold conditions around the frame due to winter condensation, and they were able to remove about 90% of it off, leaving the very stubborn buildup to be repainted/re-caulked). The windows are now spotless and the tracks & frames are as good as new. I just hope it won't rain for at least a week so I can enjoy the views! I will definitely give them a call the next time and highly recommend their services to anyone! read more

I am a very hard person to please, especially with house cleaning items - and i was 100% happy with every thing about my experience with Just Windows. I had a last minute need for windows to be done for a listing I had coming on the market. I called and was immediately schedule for just a few days later. They gave me a very fair price over the phone based on my description. They came on time, did an AMAZING job including screens and tracks. And these windows were really bad. I bought the Yelp deal for my own house and can't wait to get them over to do my windows. I also found out they do house cleaning and I plan to get a price for that as well. Today was the second time I have had this company clean my windows and I'm just as happy as the first time. I have a 3 story place (garage on the bottom, 2 floor above) and they had no trouble making the windows on the top floor look as good as the ones on the bottom. They even cleaned the little windows on my garage door, inside and out,! The four guys were here just shy of 2 hours. 2 worked out side and 2 inside. They cleaned the tracks, the screens and both inside and out of the windows for $157 (with coupon). That seemed very reasonable for the excellent job they did. Will definitely use them again. I did want to mention that the scheduling person was also very helpful and pleasant. She even called me to let me know the guys were going to be about 15 minutes late. As it was they were barely 5 minutes late. Much appreciated as I hate waiting around wondering if they are actually coming or not. Good experience, start to finish! read more

I had them do all windows, in and out, plus the tracks and hard water treatment on the shower doors. Very nice job, they have never looked this good. Would definitely use them again. It was a real bait and switch offer! I had used this service about 5 years ago but was told this is a "New Customer only" promotion. They don't refund the money. I have to contact Living social. What a scam. We never used their gutter service and purchased a Groupon. When I called, they said they had once cleaned the windows of the house and the Groupon would not be honored. What does that have to do with me? They said I could pay full price and get a discount only. What bad business practice with a bait and switch. Be Careful of these scam artists. read more

Absolutely top flight service. And they were very reasonably priced. We used JustWindows twice in one week. First, we had them clean our new unoccupied house that had gone through five months of remodeling. A week later they did our "old" house which was unoccupied and scheduled for staging the day after they cleaned. In both instances they did a wonderful job. Both houses positively sparkled when they were finished. A different crew did each house but they were early at both houses. All of the employees were very polite and very determined to do a good job. In both houses they found and cleaned dirt that we did not even know was there. They also worked hard and fast. If I had to reach for a criticism it would be that they crew chiefs did not introduce themselves by name at the start of the job. It was a very tiny issue with an otherwise great company. read more

I had gutter cleaning service last year. Two came and cleaned the gutters. When it was done one of them asked for 10 dollar tip for one nail which I was okay. He also asked me to asked neighbors if any would want their gutters cleaned. I rang 2 door bells to offer. I did not mind, either. What prompted me to write this review was that I found one gutter drain thrown on the ground and missing 2 gutter drains in lower level. I picked up the one from the ground and placed it in by myself. Later I found total of 5 gutter drains missing. read more

The three young men that arrive 10 minutes early where very nice and friendly. They made sure the windows inside and out; frames and all where spotless after finishing the job. Awesome work considering I have a 15 foot wall of windows on the second floor and 10 feet of windows in the kitchen not to mention the french doors and large front windows. read more
