Just an update to the review posted about 18 mos. ago. In the thousands of dollars I spent with…read moreTarvin to have our plumbing issues resolved, we paid to have the plumbing beneath the sink repaired due to a leak. Needless to say, their repair hasn't held. The pvc piping they installed won't even stay together. It only held for a few months and then just came apart-- leaving us with having to have a bucket beneath the sink. I'm just frustrated enough to write this updated review now because I have to pay to have another plumber come out to fix their work. These people are predatory and unprofessional. Would not recommend. What would've been nice is if the owner of this plumbing company saw the invoice number on my receipt in the last post and tried to reach out-- but he didn't. Instead he implied that we didn't even have his company service my mother's home. Having integrity in your business -- owning a job and its result means something.

The overnight temps were below zero, the water supply is on the outside wall = frozen pipes. I called a number of local plumbers, and no one had anyone that could get to me quickly. Tarvin initially told me I would have to be a work in, understandably, I was not the first call for frozen pipes! Maybe 20 mins later, I received a call back from Tarvin and they told me a tech could meet me at my house in 45 mins. When the tech arrived (cannot remember his name), he told me they pulled him from his office duties for the day to take care of my issue. He was polite, friendly and got right to work. Within 15 mins he had the frozen line thawed, with no apparent leaks (fingers crossed). Polite, professional and reasonably priced. They also recommended a permanent fix for the freezing issue. Tarvin will be my 1st call for any future plumbing issues! Jeff H

Customer service was absolutely fantastic and Tyler W. was accommodating and gave us clear explanations as to what was wrong. We received a text message with a picture of the employees so we knew who to expect and what they looked like. Arlinghaus has to send another worker out to discuss prices on a new furnace. Tyler was able to get our furnace working temporarily as we look into buying a new furnace. It cost $89 for him to come out and diagnose the problem. They will remove this from any extra work they may need to do. Unfortunately, in the end we could not afford even the lowest option they had for a furnace. They use a top furnace line brand and are more expensive then the national average. This was the only draw back for me that it was to expensive and I did not want to enter into a loan for a $7,000 furnace when the average homeowners pay is $3100. Regardless, they were transparent and did not pressure me into anything we didn't want to do. I highly recommend Arlinghaus for their professionalism and honesty with their customers.

I wish I could give A+ Plumbing (used to be Maximum plumbing) 0 stars because that's what they…read moredeserve! Sarah Lilley emailed me on 9/12/25 informing me that they are offering a 1 year free membership and a complimentary tankless water heater flush with a whole house inspection. I asked a bunch of questions then told her that I was interested. I scheduled the flush for 9/25/25 with a window of 830-10 am. However, I was told from Kathi Grey the day before (9/24/25) that it would most likely be closer to 830-9 am. The technician, Jared Scott, comes and learns that I have a tankless water heater and doesn't have what he needs. Jared told me that he was not informed that I have a tankless even though it was mentioned various times in communication. One of which is email that I still have a copy of in my account. Jared also mentions the whole house inspection. I said that I didn't need that done today. I mistakenly told Jared that I already have a membership with Apollo and they have done inspections in the past. Jared leaves to get the part that he needs. He comes back shortly informing me that he can't do the tankless flush because I already have a membership with Apollo. Jared leaves so I call A+ to speak with the owner. Sarah answers the phone and puts me on hold while she gets him. He tells me that I never mentioned the tankless water heater! The nerve! He also informs me that I HAVE to get the whole house inspection in order to get the tankless water flush and it has to be done the same day. I was NOT told that specific piece of information prior to scheduling. The owner goes on to rudely tell me that A+ doesn't go around giving away free work. I informed him that I don't use Apollo for plumbing just for our HVAC system. I genuinely was interested in using them but absolutely not now!! I would have been open to a whole house inspection at another time if the owner wasn't so rude to me and I was told that upfront. I had a 11:30 doctor's appointment so there was no time for a whole house inspection as my home is 4000 sq feet not including our finished basement. I asked how long the appointment with Jared would take (again, spoke to Kathi and Sarah) and was told 1 hour. There's no way a whole house inspection and a tankless hot water flush whole could be finished in 1 hour. Logic told me that I could do the whole house inspection another time if I wanted it done. I know that the tankless water heater flush takes 45 mins to 1 hour alone. In addition to all of this Sarah and Kathi told me that A+ plumbing (at the time was Maximum plumbing) did our tankless water heater on 4/15/2024. That is not true. I had A+ come on that day to give me an estimate. This business is not accredited with the BBB. What a waste of time!!
