Pictures of rims.

**Please look at these pictures** On 10/24/23, we brought our Jaguar F Pace to this location for a tire change after seeing all the positive reviews. The person at the desk was nice and we dropped off our vehicle without a worry. Before I went inside, I checked the tire size on my driver and passenger side to verify the size and my rims were perfect. I got a call that it was done and I picked up my vehicle at closing. Upon inspection of my tires, I noticed unsightful gashings/curb rash on my rims. I immediately spoke to the person in charge and he said it looked like curb rash and that they couldn't have done it. I disagreed because if you look carefully at the photos, even the tires have the same brown marks that you see on the rims. New tires should not have any discoloration. Old curb rash would be clear but the curb rash and tire markings both have the same brown color ! After explaining that to the person at the desk, he did say it was strange and that I could speak with the manager tomorrow. The rims also had a dusty white film to it and he proceeded wipe the wheels. The following day, we went to speak with the Manager Tim and he said that it looked that it was done after the tire was put on. When he went out to inspect the vehicle, he stated that there were no markings on the wheels (which his associate wiped off the previous night) so it wasn't connected. He then had us go all the way to rim repair shop to get a quote and bring it back to them. I felt like he did this because in his heart, it looks like they were most likely liable. When we came back, he stated that it was too much and they have not responded to our emails since.

I was in and out. A tad expensive for 2 tires and an alignment, but overall good service.

2 hours for a $20 oil change. Computers kept going "down". Not the employees fault but still way too long to expect for such a task.

It is highly probable that this will be my final visit to this establishment. The customer service…read moreprovided is subpar. The cost of an oil change is excessively high. I was charged $166 for a full synthetic oil change, and the attendant proceeded to inform me that I also required a cabin air filter and an air filter, each priced at $35. I politely declined these additional services, stating that I could obtain a comparable filter at a significantly lower cost from Amazon and perform the installation myself. I asked the attendant at the front desk - "oil changes have gotten expensive, haven't they?" He then replied - "yeah and so is the labor. Gotta keep my guys happy." Despite these issues, they offered me a $10 discount coupon, which was insufficient to eliminate the state tax. Consequently, my total bill, after applying the $10 coupon, amounted to $167.

After the…read moreservice, my car immediately developed a noticeable humming noise when the AC or heat is turned on, which had never happened before. I returned twice to have this addressed. Both visits were handled by the same associate, and the issue was dismissed without a proper inspection. My vehicle was not pulled into a service bay, and I was ultimately told nothing could be done, despite the issue persisting. This was disappointing, especially considering the cost of the service. I'm now having to take my vehicle elsewhere to resolve a problem that started immediately after my visit.

Reasonable price, great owner, and nice location…read more Came in for an oil change and to track down the cause of a recurring stall issue with my Volkswagen Tiguan. The mechanic listened, asked good follow-up questions, made sure he understood the problem before drawing any conclusions, and then diagnosed it cleanly. The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. That said, I am a big fan of this establishment and will be using them for repairs in the future (apparently sooner than I want :) Bonus: he pointed me to a wonderful Indian place across the street, Biryani, which I'd highly recommend if you have time to kill while your car is being worked on.

I ended up needing more work done and while it was expensive as cars are it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Gia the manager was also just pleasant to talk to and very communicative overall. She even offered to let me come around the desk to type in my credit card number for privacy which I felt was a thoughtful gesture. Overall my experience was great and my car feels better! This time I also needed to get my vehicle inspection done. I made an appointment for my services and after being there for about one hour and 45 minutes I asked how much longer it would be since no one was working on my car in the bay at the time. I was advised by a tech that they had to get a part down the street to complete my oil change and it should be 10-15 more minutes. This employee was also nice as well. My car ended up being done more than 45 minutes after I was told 10-15 mins. I was disappointed that even with an appointment I had to wait 2 hours and 30 minutes for an oil change and inspection. During my wait I was never updated on why it was taking so long or that the part needed to be replaced to change my oil. During my inspection I also had to pay more money to replace a bulb that was out and would need to be replaced for my vehicle to pass the inspection. At that point I didn't feel like going somewhere else and waiting to have it replaced so I just paid it even though the labor too high for what needed to be done. After about an hour I was called and told that the tire was "too damaged to repair due to another 'nail' that was in the sidewall so I need to get a new tire (suggested a $270 Firestone brand tire" so I took the car home and checked it out myself. I used pliers to pull the "nail" out only to find that the nail was actually a tiny piece of hard plastic lodged in the bulk of the tread. I used soap and water to see if there was any detectable leak... nothing. It ended up being 3 hours of my day wasted waiting on a simple patch repair. I wish they just checked a little better. Seems a little fishy to me. This isn't my first bad experience with firestone in general, but it will definitely be my last.

Clyde at Pass The Wrench doesn't do that. He's a fine young man who provides quality, affordable service. If the job isn't done that day, you pay him when it is. I seriously lucked out by asking on Reddit if anyone knew of a mobile mechanic that could come to our house and fix out Infiniti, someone recommended him. He answered his phone right away, listened to the issue, and came plenty prepared. Not only was he fantastic with the service he provided, he was able to get us discounts on the parts we needed, willing to work around us very close to Christmas (even offering to work ON Christmas), and it turns out he can do more than just cars. Since moving to NC, all we ever hear about is how everyone in this state has "A Guy" they know that can do fix-it/handy projects around the house. Clyde at Pass The Wrench happens to be That Guy for us now. It's rare you find someone that loves what they do and is willing to do good work at a good price without trying to swindle their customers for a quick buck. When it comes to local businesses, Pass the Wrench is exactly the sort of place I want my money going because the person running it happens to be just an all around good human. He might be based out of Raleigh, but he services all over and will come to you to fix your car. We're out in Clayton, and he came to us without issue. I will personally be recommending him to everyone I know.
