They ignored their patients chronic health issues. They refused to keep patient informed about said medications but instead *lied to the patient about the medications prescribed!* They blamed the patient for having the audacity to complain about said medication changes made (without properly informing the patient.) This is also a direct violation of the patients (INFORMED CONSENT TO TREATMENT AND CARE!) They leave patients in pain and ignore them when it is quite obvious via video chat that swelling/pain is still an issue! When patients complain or leave Yelp reviews they further gaslight and blame the patient pretending they are not accountable for their poor decisions/treatment/care. Funny enough, their competition had NO ISSUES AT ALL with keeping me properly informed, well treated during surgery and aftercare was no problem for them... Future responses from this company will be treated with the same response they gave me... "Not my problem if you don't like honest reviews of your poor service!" read more

This place is horrible. They charge for fillings at absurd rate even with insurance. They couldn't even do proper fillings as my kids had huge overhangs from the fillings and their gums are still bleeding . I had to take them to another office and they were shocked at the fillings done for my kids. My advice is staying away from this place and save your money. read more

well...I went in August 15, 2023 to just get a crown that Aspen Dental created...sat there for 2 hours with an appt. I sat in the chair waiting for someone to simply glue and proceed with the crown "re-install" and a big guy came in after a half hour to wiggle my crown & tell me "he didn't have time for this". The assistant told me sorry as he had a long night....i used the temp crown adhesive so I didn't swallow it...I then go to the office with the manager and he wants me to come back later...I had already missed worked and I receive bill for $96 2/19/2024....I have spent the time to dispute the charge and nothing....don't believe in any warranty promises....unprofessional and very annoying to say the least. I have to pay this so it doesn't go on my credit. read more

So I have been going there for 2 years. I had some major work completed last year. I most recently went on April 13th, 22. I was there for a cleaning and exam. Some lady called me back. On my way back I asked about Olivia (my usual technician). she responded by stating she was going to clean my teeth. I again inquired that I thought Olivia had scheduled me with her? The lady said that Olivia was sent to Westerville today. I stated that I didn't think that was a good practice. I proceeded to sit in the chair and she (still don't know who she was) asked if I had any areas of concern. I proceeded to say yes. I told her I called the office a little over 3 weeks ago and explained to the receptionist that I was still having problems with my gum (since December) and I had been to my primary care etc. and that I didn't know what to do next. The receptionist said she would speak with the dentist and call me back. I proceeded to say I never received a call back. I had decided to just wait until my appointment and let the dentist look at it. She proceeded to walk around to the front of me and said "is there something wrong with you?" I was taken back but replied "No." She proceeded with "you seem really angry." I said, "I'm not angry, you asked me a question and I answered it." She said, "no I think you are really angry about something." I said, "you are being rude, I am not angry but I think it is very rude of you to be characterizing me as angry when I answered your question . She said "I'll go get Dr. Phil so he can look at your gum." I said "great." About 2 minutes later the office manager - Elizabeth - comes in and sits on the dentist stool. She proceeds to tell me that I will not be able to get my teeth cleaned because the technician was very upset and was somewhere sobbing. I inquired about what and she said, "she allowed you to make her feel bad." I proceeded to say that I had no idea what she was upset about and suggested that perhaps she should put her "big girl pants on before coming to work." Elizabeth said, "that is not always practical." Elizabeth continued to explain that they were very short handed and that 2 employees had just given birth. I told her I would have to reconsider my long term affiliation with their practice. We did proceed to her office and she did get me another appointment scheduled for 2 weeks later. 3 days later I received a signed letter from the dentist that says, "This letter is to inform you that due to the disrespectful treatment of our staff and lack of adherence to our practice policies we will no longer be serving as your dentists." I don't know what policies I did not adhere to? I also don't think that I was disrespectful. The technician is not a social worker regardless of what she thinks she is. I had every right to tell her I thought she was being rude. I don't know what was wrong with the woman but I am confident they will find out in the long run that she is unstable. On top of everything thing else I think they owe me money because they did not settle my account after all the insurance payments came in. It is sad because I think very highly of the dentist performing dental work but some of the staff and the way the office is managed leaves a lot to be desired. It is hard to be a good dentist or doctor if your staff can't support you by doing their job properly. read more

Every single person in this office is helpful, pleasant, gentle and genuinely cares for their patients. I've unfortunately had to get two teeth surgically removed. Both times I was in the office the surgeon was very personable, made me feel like I was in the safest hands and he joked a bit with me to get my mind off of the procedure I was getting ready to have. The second time I was in, the anesthesia didn't quite take effect and left me feeling pain and uncomfortable. All I had to do was mention it to the doctor and he stopped to add more analgesics immediately and then waiting to continue until the meds took effect. I have been a customer of this practice for over 8 years and it's a shame the manager was too proud to work with me in resolving the miscommunication scheduling issue. This place cancelled my daughter's appointment, after it had been verified that it was still in place earlier that day. I talked to the manager for their texting and voicemail messaging systems not being in sync with each other as there had been issues with scheduling and workers stepping on each other's toes, when it came to calling clients back about messages via text or voicemails. She refused to do anything about it and acknowledge having a history of communication scheduling with other clients. It is unfortunate, that an individual would overlook a problem of communication within a Dental practice, just to quiet a customer. Since these communication problems have happened multiple times with myself and according to the Manager, "it happens with other customers". I hope Dr. Chahine knows about this and how his hard-earned business has been affected. The dental hygienist and the Dentist are wonderful, but it is the presentation and perception of the front staff during my interaction that has left a rotten tooth in my mouth. read more

I am highly disappointed with Just Smiles. I was nine minutes late for an appointment. And they canceled the whole thing. They need to do better. I came All the way from Gahanna just to be towed I can't be seen. This is not the Just Smiles that I know. So if you have an appointment you might want to go hour early so you can keep your appointment. read more

Dr. Patel is the best! Truly cares for her patients and takes the time to explain and deliver the best care plans possible. She doesn't try to scam you into unnecessary treatment like other dentists. I'd follow her anywhere! read more

I've been going to a dentist in Hilliard since i was 5 (am 31 now) and I've only been here twice, but I'm highly pleased, and impressed. Good atmosphere, and very clean. Staff is knowledgeable, and helpful. Nice personalities; I feel like I've been going here for years. I think they're throughout, and use technology that I am not accustomed to. It's on thing for the dentist to tell you your old filling is worn out and needs replaced, but they take close ups of all your teeth. Really helps you see what you need and you're confident they're not just trying to squeeze you for more money for something that you don't really know if you truly need. I hadn't been to a dentist in about 2.5 years, and it was one thing to feel the results of an amazing cleaning, but then to get an up-close picture of the cleaning was amazing. Just had a filling replaced and it was great, but I also had a small gap in between my two front teeth...keyword...had. The dentist did an excellent job doing the bonding, and they matched everything wonderfully. I am beyond pleased with everything about this place, but I was bummed when I didn't get a new toothbrush lol. I also appreciated that they faxed info over to my insurance before my second visit, and I got a call with my out-of-pocket costs. They also broke down a few other options for what I needed, and although I wanted to originally go with the Invisaline, I am more than pleased with the bonding job she did. read more

After a really negative experience and even more negative reviews here on Yelp just around the corner at Aspen Dental, I was in desperation mode of finding a good dentist to schedule me in with short notice and within my vacation time. I should have checked Yelp first to have avoided the bad experience down the road, and should have just came here first. I'm usually early to my appointments, and they started before my scheduled time, which is a plus in my books! That means less time sitting out in the waiting room. The receptionists at Just Smiles knows everyone by name. I had only just talked to one of the schedulers on the phone, and without ever meeting me, when the scheduler saw my husband's name signed in for his appointment which was a different day from mine, she also addressed me by name, too without a hitch, or searching her systems. That was really a nice touch to not have people asking "What's your name again?" The waiting area is nice, and the chairs are comfy. Everything is clean and professional and the whole environment has a calm, low key feel to it. My overall cleaning and exam experience was very good as well. Our Dental Assistant was very kind and courteous and made sure that I felt comfortable and had all questions answered without rushing. This place is up to date on newer dental procedures and technology. They use multiple X-rays to check your bone structure, and your teeth, and throughout the exam take pictures of any issues they come across. Talk about getting up close and personal with my mouth. It's really nice for a change to SEE the issues instead of taking someone's word for it. I appreciated that. The cleaning went A-OK. After 10 years of not having an exam or cleaning done, my teeth and gums were pretty darn sore, but I could definitely tell a major difference. Even my husband's teeth which were a little on the ... eh... side before hand, came out with sparkling pearly white teeth, which also boosted his confidence! Our Dentist Phillipe was very thorough and to the point, but didn't make us feel like utter failures for not bothering to see a dentist for 10 years! There's a calm and easy going vibe to him and all the staff here. People really HATE going to the dentist and I didn't know what to expect going in there, but I left feeling like I had made an awesome choice. I have actually not been here yet, but my husband had such an incredible experience with this place that I will be switching from my current dentist to here! My husband hadn't been to the dentist in nearly a decade. He was reluctant to go - the man hates the dentist/doctor etc. - but he finally made an appointment, thanks to a persuasive co-worker who LOVES this place. He was very impressed with their staff, everyone was very friendly and it made him feel at ease. They answered all his questions, were professional and they did a great job with his teeth. Most painless and relaxed dentist visit ever. I was in and out in about an hour and a half for a much overdue cleaning, and am now admiring my pearly whites! The cleaning and x-rays were done by Shannon, who was friendly, calm and finessed. She was careful to do a thorough cleaning without letting the tools touch anything but the teeth, explained every step and checked in to make sure I was comfortable throughout. The last time I went to a dentist was in Los Angeles more than 5 years ago, where the hygienist kept nicking my gums, making snide comments about why I didn't come in earlier, and didn't clean thoroughly. The experience at Just Smiles was just worlds away from that. No gum pain, just the refreshing feeling of clean teeth afterward. After the cleaning, I met with Dr. Hatahet who was also very friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended having my wisdom teeth removed but without being pushy, and was great about answering questions. The front desk staff was nice and professional, and even the decor had a relaxing vibe. I love this place. I had not gone to a Dentist in several years because of bad experiences every time I went. So I just stop going, well one of my tooth chipped eating a potato chip and I'm like what am I going to do I did not have a dentist and I had to get this tooth fixed so I asked around at the office I work at. One of the girls there told me about Just Smiles and how great they were. So I decided to give them a try, so I called and made an appointment I got an appointment in a good time frame. So I went and as soon as I walked in I was like wow this is nice and they greeted me as soon as I walked in. Well to make my story short they are amazing. Staff and reception is ALWAYS friendly and professional. I had veneers applied years ago and oh my, what a difference! I got my smile back and very natural looking ( noone whom I hadn't previously told can tell) because of the spot-on recommendation on shade. You know when you are watching the news and it is obvious that someone's teeth are 'fake'? If you have been debating on fixing your smile for the rest of your life, do not hessitate to go here. I loved this place. My husband, and I both felt like we found a good place that we trust. My tooth started hurting lightly on Friday afternoon, so I made an appointment for next Wednesday. Then Saturday hit, and the pain started to become unbearable. I did everything I could in my power to do home remedies for the pain. I called the emergency left a message, and 3 hours later no call back. So I called again, and did not get a dentist to call me back but I think a hygienist who prescribed antibiotics and Ibprophen. By the time they called back too late to get my meds filled until today Sunday after 10am. Now today the pain is extreme, and I cannot get it to go away. Also she said they could "maybe" get me in on Monday. I called around for emergency dentists, and nothing. I called the emergency line with Just Smiles still have not heard a thing. Luckily I found a nice guy who is a dentist in Hilliard who tried to help with suggestions, and promised he could get me in on Monday and agreed a dentist should have called me and should have prescribed something for the pain until I got in. I will never go back after 4 years with them. I have a 6 year old to take care of, working on my Masters' degree, and just generally do not want to force myself to sleep to not have to be in pain. But no I have been crying all day from the pain that will not go away. read more

They were all very pleasant , professional and informative... with a few laughs here and there! :) We were able to come up with a realistic plan with a realistic price. The office is beautiful ! Due to my special teeth, I have been to a lot of dentists.... and I do mean a lot. Just Smiles has easily been the best. The tech was very thorough and was super nice. The dentist, a younger guy, was extremely informative and he listened to me and my needs. Based on my beliefs, he understood that certain options were off the books. When it came to pricing and insurance, they explained everything as far as payment options and the breakdown of who's paying what. My husband had to cancel 6 months ago because he had to work- or get fired... so he rescheduled. They couldn't get him in until February. And today was his makeup. Well now he has the flu today.. so again he called to reschedule. I even offeAnd they can't get him in until August?! Meanwhile we now have to pay a $200 deductible because they ALWAYS reschedule 6 months out. I'm sorry but last I checked offices keep spots open for reschedules within a few weeks. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't waste your time if you're a working parent with kids and can't afford a $200 deductible over someone's crap scheduling. Or next time just make them go in even if they have the flu. Screw this place. read more

Just smiles is great at dentistry, the doctors are great however...Don't expect to be treated like a human being or with any respect if you are a person of color. I do not mean to be so blunt but the staff at just smiles in Hilliard Ohio do not like BLACKS. I was treated horribly, these people treated me like I was a problem, and that my money wasn't good enough. The front staff is just awful. The only person who was actually nice to me at the facility was the Doctor working on my teeth. I do not recommend this place to anyone of color or who is Black. My treatment was horrible, I was degraded, talked down, and humiliated. When I was scheduling one time I was told they were closed on Mondays...I later found out they were actually open on Mondays, and I was lied to. I had not been to a dentist in over five years but I did need to go because my teeth are getting older and I had broken a tooth and was getting some pain from it. ORIGINAL CUSTOMER SINCE OPENING. 1 TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I normally don't write reviews. But was encourage to do so. I remember when Just Smiles opened. I was an original client way before there expansion into the next door area. Back in October 27,2015 I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled. Unbeknownst to me was that United Healthcare was taking there time in paying Just Smiles. At the same time my Daughter was settling out of court for someone running over her foot. I received a check from United Healthcare in March 2016. I thought that this was for a return in deductible for my daughter so I cashed it. As I was packing for National competition I received a very unpleasant and unexpected voicemail from Stephanie (I honestly thought it was reminding of a cleaning I scheduled. I found out they cancelled the cleaning without my notifying me. This was the second time this has happened). The voicemail was a simple accusation of you have our money call and pay us by tomorrow. They where closed and I didn't know what she was referring to.Thinking it was a mistake I figured I called them when I had time after I got back from my National USA Olympic competition. I got back on Tuesday and received a very distasteful text stating "this is Stephanie at Just Smiles, your account will be sent to our legal department in 48 hours in not satisfied in full". I immediately called them after realizing that there wasn't a mistake. Stephanie a person I have know for years to the point where I have had conversations with concerning her daughter from High School to college spoke to me like I wasn't a person. I tried to explain that I had no idea that United Healthcare hadn't paid and that I wanted time to verify that the money mentioned and sent to me in my name was in fact for them and not for my daughter in effort to resolve the situation, She accused me of not wanting to pay. I said no that not the case I want to ensure that this is in fact your money. I contacted United Healthcare and they verified with me over the phone. During that conversation I wanted to make sure Delta Dental had the same information so a 3-way call was made. Turns out that United Healthcare overpaid which dropped my out of pocket expense to $0. I told insurance I had already paid the $366.66 to Just Smiles. I was advised to pay the difference in the check received. I was ok with this. Upon contacting Just Smiles to explain conversation they didn't believe me. I told them a updated EOB was coming. SO in order to resolve the situation with now Joan (who at least had a pleasant demeanor) I called United Healthcare a 2nd time with Joan and had them argue it out. Although I didn't appreciate Joan inferring I wasn't going to pay which I corrected her 5 times over the phone to the point insurance agent started to correct her on my behalf it was determined I only owed the difference. I immediately went to bank got a check and dropped off payment. I was encouraged by Delta Dental to submit a formal complaint based off the conversation they where apart of. I also found out that Just Smiles tried to direct debit my account without my authorization based off conversations on the phone. If chase hadn't forced me to a chip card I would have woke up a little lighter in the bank without knowing why. RECENTLY, a tooth Just smiles worked on has chipped or broken. Unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable going there. I probably wouldn't have written this had they just apologized. read more
